2020

Well, you've been a year like no other.  Honestly at the beginning of the year I thought this was going to be the best year ever. Little did I know what was to come.  It wasn't a great start as five days in, my Granddad sadly passed away so already the year was a sad one.  A good thing happened in February after applying for jobs and getting rejected plus one flat viewing which didn't end up going ahead. I decided to apply to a master's degree for September and got accepted. Yay. Things were looking up and it felt like I had my life on track.  Then March happened. Lockdown.  How everything became very different. Face masks were worn. Everyone was sanitising way more than usual. It was normal to sing happy birthday while you washed your hands. Unable to visit people outside your household. Visits to my grandparents were spent in the garden while they sat inside. Social distance was a law but to be honest that is not such a bad thing because I like my personal space. Ever

5 Positive Things In 2020

I know, after the year 2020 has been it's hard to believe there may be some positive things that happened this year. It got me thinking though as we're slowly coming up to the last few days of 2020 that maybe a few positive things happened this year and I thought I'd make this post to share with you guys five positive things that happened to me. I'd encourage you to do the same as you may surprise yourself.  So as 2020 comes to an end, here are five positive things that happened to me in 2020.  1. Going to university to do a master's degree Honestly I'm so happy I decided to do a master's degree because I had no idea what I was going to do with my life and after numerous job rejections, I decided to take a chance with doing a master's degree. Honestly I'm really happy I decided to do it because now it feels like I have a purpose in my life. Obviously it's very different this year with the pandemic and most of it being online but it's made me

My Top Five Books Of 2020

Image
This year I did a lot of reading and read over 30 books which is probably the most books I've read in a year. I managed to get through a lot of books I've been meaning to read and some of them I really loved so I thought I'd make a list of my top five books I read in 2020. There is a very obvious contemporary romance theme but that is my favourite genre so let's get started.  1. I Heart New York by Lindsey Kelk I've been meaning to start the I Heart series by Lindsey Kelk and I managed to find time during the lockdown to read the first book in the series. I'm really glad I did because this story was amazing. After a break up, Angela makes a spontaneous trip to New York and it honestly was so fun to read. We've all experienced heartbreak in our lives so this story was very inspiring that instead of being upset over heartbreak, you should do something spontaneous and go on an adventure. Obviously in the current circumstances we won't be able to travel. Alt
