Autumn Self Care

Image
It’s important to have a little self care in your life. A lot of people think that means having a pamper session with face masks and sorting your skincare. The reality with self care is doing little things that will make you feel happier and improve your mood. Sometimes it’s good to take time to do things for yourself because we all need to take care of ourselves every now and then.  Here’s a few little things I’ve done to add a little self care in my life. Bubble Bath I do love a bubble bath because sometimes it’s nice to take the time to relax. Add bubbles, put a bath bomb in and watch something in the bath. Especially as the days are getting colder, a nice hot bath does the trick. Putting on comfy clothes I love this time of year because it means I get to make use out of the many jumpers I own. Especially after having a bath, it’s nice to put on a comfy jumper and joggers to make you feel nice and cosy.  Hot beverage Personally, I love drinking coffee. I probably drink way ...

Everyday Makeup

Image
I thought I would share my everyday makeup. I was actually wearing this makeup to go on a day date but it's something I also like to wear for everyday use so let's get started. Collection Incredibrow Brow Kit I always like to do my brows first. I switch between the left and middle shades depending on my mood. I find when I perfect my brows, everything else falls into place. Studio London Eyeshadow Base I like to use this as a primer on my eyes. I find it helps to smooth my eyes and makes my eyeshadow last a lot longer.  I Heart Revolution I Heart Chocolate Palette An oldie but a goodie, I love this palette and had it for quite a while now. I'm not sure if they even sell this palette anymore but I love the muted shades and it's something you can use for natural but also a glam look too.  Maybelline New York Great Lash Waterproof Mascara I love this mascara as it's so voluminous and doesn't ever smudge which is what I look for in a mascara. Studio London Flaunt Fl...

What's In My Work Bag

Image
I thought I'd do something a little different and instead of sharing what's in my everyday bag, I thought I'd share what's in my bag that I take to work. Now as I went through the items, I realised it's not majorly different to my everyday bag but it does have a few extra bits. I love nosing at what people have in their bags so I thought I'd share what's in my work bag. Let's get started. This is my work bag. I got it from Amazon over a year ago. It's a Miss Lulu bag and I love it because it's the perfect size for everything I need for work. It's also nice as it has short handles that make it easy to carry but also has a long shoulder strap. This bag is just perfect for work in my opinion. Now let's look inside. Here is my lanyard with my work keys on. I'm not going to show you my work keys for obvious reasons but this is my lanyard I wear them on. I believe the dolphin lanyard actually came from one of those rock dummies that you can...

May

Here we are, the fifth month of the year and we’re flying through this year already. I’m very excited because at the end of this month I’m on holiday in Majorca with my family. It’s very exciting because I always love going away on holiday. There’s also two bank holidays this month which is even more exciting.  Other than that I don’t really have a lot planned for this month. I’ve got family staying this weekend. I’m hoping to work on my novel this month as I haven’t really had much of a chance recently. It feels like I’ve been so busy with work and I haven’t really had much time for myself. That’s all going to change this month. This month is a new month, new me. I’m feeling positive about this month as I’ve had a few meh months these past couple of months but now it’s onwards and upwards.  Looking forward to it all. Let me know if you have anything exciting for this month. I’d love to hear it. Thank you for taking the time to view my blog and I’ll be back soon with another p...

For today's post, I thought I'd share my makeup routine. I was actually planning on going on a first date on this particular day. Sadly I ended up getting stood up which I will talk about on a later day. For now, this is the makeup I wore on the day and it's actually the makeup I wear on a daily basis.  This is where I keep my makeup, it's from Primark and it just helps me to keep my makeup organised. Also when I go on a trip, I know my makeup is packed and ready to go if I need it. Now onto the products I used. Collection IncrediBrow Kit. Evening Routine

Image
As I did a morning routine yesterday, it only makes sense to share my evening routine today.  My evening started with dinner. Tonight, I had some noodles, which is a standard meal for me because I love noodles. I tend to go a bit extra sometimes by adding sweetcorn and I also added a couple of Chicken nuggets as well. Once I've eaten my dinner, it's time to get ready for the night as on this particular night I was going out to my local arts centre to watch The Mersey Beatles which is obviously a tribute band. I started by having a shower.  I then dried my hair and decided to straighten it tonight.  This is the makeup I wore, just kept it simple but nice. Finally I prepared my going out bag. Finally, it was time to go to the Arts Centre and take our seats in the Great Hall. It was actually a really good night. They played all the famous hits and it was a really great atmosphere.  After the show, we went home and I got into my pajamas and I decided to watch an episode ...
