My Top Five Christmas Songs

Image
As it's December, you're allowed to blast any Christmas song you like on repeat throughout the entire 25 days leading up to Christmas. I thought I'd share my top favourite five Christmas songs with you guys. Let's do this! 1. Do They Know It's Christmas Time? - Band Aid 1984 I just love this song It's an absolute classic and every time I hear the first few seconds start playing I get all excited. I always can't help but sing along because it's such a great Christmas song. I love it and also it always reminds me of Gavin and Stacey's Christmas special where Smithy and Gavin sing it. It cracks me up every time and that's why it's one of my favourites. 2. When Christmas Comes To Town - The Polar Express When I watched The Polar Express I loved this song. It's such a sweet and calming song. I feel like it's such an underrated Christmas song because nobody really talks about it and I don't know why. It just makes me happy

Christmas Excitement

Image
It's officially December so the Christmas excitement can begin. I always try to get excited in the middle of November but to me it just doesn't feel like Christmas yet. The moment I feel ready to get excited for Christmas is the moment I open the first door on my chocolate advent calendar because that's the start of the countdown for Christmas. However, I have done my Christmas shopping early and finished it before December. Which is a first for me but one night I had a surge of inspiration to plan out Christmas presents. The reason is because there's always one person that you struggle to get for because you're not sure what they want or need or even what they like. For me that was my big brother so I did a google search of gifts then a brilliant idea came to mind for what to get him. Unfortunately I can't tell you in case he reads this but honestly you can find some great gift ideas looking online or even just looking around in the shops. There's so m

Graduating Today

Image
Hey guys! Today, this is going to be a rather short post but I thought I'd let you all know that I'm graduating today. I can't believe today is the day. I'm both nervous and excited. Nervous because I'm afraid I'll trip and fall (every graduates worst nightmare) but if you know me, I trip over nothing usually so this is a legitimate fear of mine. I'm also excited though because this is probably the biggest event of my life apart from my wedding (and who knows when that will ever happen) so yeah it's very exciting. I've watched a live stream of one of the other ceremonies for my university and it looks very formal. I can't wait for mine. It's not until 3pm today so I have all morning to get ready for it but I can't wait for it. Anyway, that's all I have to say for now. I thought I'd update you on this special occasion because I have blogged some of my uni experience so I may as well let you guys know the day I'm gradua

My Skincare Routine

Image
For ages I used to never have a skincare routine. I never saw the point because I don't have oily or dry skin. I also never had acne. The only problems I had on my face was the odd spot and redness but other than that it was fine. Recently I learned about pores and realised I have bad pores on my face. I also have sensitive skin so I was always worried about putting too much product on my face. I decided to look up skincare products which work for sensitive skin. I then went out and bought some skincare products to use on a daily basis and now I'm going to show you skincare routine. 1. Face wipes I know people say wet wipes are not the best method but they work for me and I've never really had any trouble with them. Plus they're just great for a quick cleanse or to wipe makeup off. I tend to go for the face wipes which are three in one so they basically do three things to your face. This pack is from Savers. I just get the face wipes that cost about a pound becaus

Things I Don't Regret

Image
We all have things we regret in life. I can list a lot of things that I regret. However, I don't want to think about all the things I regret because what's the point in dwelling on them to make me sad. I thought I'd make this post and share three things that I don't regret. Let's get into them: 1. I don't regret going away to university I feel like I learned a lot while going away at university. I had some amazing experiences while at university. I gained three best friends and I went on some good night outs. I also learned that you can enjoy doing things alone like going to the cinema and the theatre. I also learned how to adult by cooking for myself, laundry and other household things. While at uni I experienced my first kiss and popped  my cherry. Sorry if that's TMI  but it did happen and it was great. Plus now I have a degree to my name so that's pretty amazing. Yeah, I don't regret going to uni one bit. 2. I don't regret not ever

5 Blog Post Ideas

Image
Are you a blogger who has struggled to come up with an idea for a blog post? Don't worry every blogger eventually can get lost on what to write for a post. Fortunately for you I have five blog post ideas which you can elaborate on and turn them into your own. Here we go: 1. What's in my bag? - A very simple idea but sometimes it's fascinating to find out what someone keeps in their bag. Whether it's a bag for school, work or just everyday use. It's fun to find out and sometimes it gives readers suggestions on what they could put in their own bags. It's also a simple post because you just need your bag and to take pictures of each item within the contents of the bag then explain the reasoning behind it. 2. A Tour - Whether that's a bedroom tour, desk tour or even a house tour. However big or small the tour is it's a great way for your readers to get into the personality of you. Just start taking pictures. 3. Current Favourites - What is it

How To Be A Morning Person

Image
Mornings can be tough. Especially when you're a night owl. I'm here to help you and give you some tips on how to be a morning person. Let's get started: 1. Go to bed before midnight Now, the recommended amount of sleep an adult is supposed to get is eight hours. Now if you work it out if you fell asleep at midnight (on the dot) and woke up at eight o'clock then you'll get the eight hours sleep that you need. If you go to sleep before midnight then you'll most likely get the right amount of sleep you need. Just try to go to bed at a similar time every night so that you can get into a routine. 2. Set just one realistic alarm Gone are the days where you set multiple alarms. I know it's easy to just hit snooze or switch off the alarm to wait for the next one but honestly it doesn't help. Set a reasonable alarm like eight o'clock and once it goes off that it is time where you need to start thinking about getting up for the day. Maybe hit the

Holiday

Image
Unfortunately this is not some exciting post where I tell you I'm going away somewhere. This is just a post to say that tomorrow is the start of my first official holiday away from work which is nine days. Having worked for two months now, I feel like now is the right time to have a break from it. My life has literally been work, eat, sleep and repeat constantly. It'll be nice to have nine days off and just not have to think about work. I also have my graduation next week so that is something to look forward to. Me and my mum are heading up to Chester for three days which is something to look forward to. I'm also really nervous about falling over on stage. I know everyone fears this but honestly I trip over nothing most of the time so yeah that's one small thing I'm a little afraid of happening but I'm going to try and not think about it too much. One thing though that you can definitely count on is me posting everyday this month so I'll make sure to

Blogging Month

Image
This November, I'm planning on blogging everyday for the whole of November. I've done this before a couple of years ago. I attempted to do it last year but failed miserable due to lack of blogging motivation. However, this year I am determined to post everyday for the entire month of November. I have plenty of posts for you guys involving beauty, lifestyle, post university and anything else I can think of. This month is also very exciting as I have my graduation on the ninth so expect a few posts related to that. I just really enjoy blogging and I encourage anyone who wants to be more regular with their posts to take up the challenge of posting everyday for an entire month. The fact that you're setting yourself the task of posting thirty blog posts is a great challenge for you because it gives you something to work on. I've already prepared a few blog posts already for the first week but I've made a list of all the blog posts I want to make for this month.

Days Off Tips

Image
Does anyone else just spend their days off work doing nothing? When I say nothing I mean just lazying about watching TV, movies, YouTube videos or just eating or barely doing anything important. When I'm working for most of the week I crave my days off to come then when they do come, I waste them away by doing nothing. All of a sudden time has gone by and I'm back at work. A part of me wished I had an exciting life where I did things on a daily basis but in all honest my life is pretty boring at the moment. That is why I decided to make this post to motivate myself and anyone who spends their days off doing nothing to do something a little bit more interesting than just being lazy. These things I'm going to suggest consist of not having to spend any money because that is sometimes money is the thing that gets in the way of me actually doing anything. It does for me anyway because I'm trying to save money and not spend it on pointless things. So here's a l

October So Far...

Image
My first post in October! Yay! Finally! Better late than never but I thought I'd make this post just to say hi really. I've been quite busy this month working because my life has now been taken over by work. I pretty much work five days a week and usually at times where the entire day is dedicated to work. Which is kind of one of the downsides of growing up is you kind of need a job to survive. I feel so lucky to be given a job especially after spending two months applying for loads of jobs and being turned down for them. So yeah. It also feels so good when pay day comes and I can see how much I've earned. However, most of my earnings are going into my savings because I need to save money next year for my plans to move away somewhere. (Don't know where or what I'll be doing yet but I need some money behind before I can make decisions.) So yeah, most of my October has been working. An exciting thing happened though at the beginning of October was my birthday w

Autumn Plans

Image
As it's pretty much Autumn, I thought I'd share with you all about my plans for Autumn. I'm kind of using as a guide for myself so that come December I can see whether I've achieved these plans that I've set up for myself this Autumn. It's not going to be a very big list but it's just a few things that I wish to achieve this Autumn. Let's get started! 1. Celebrate My 22nd Birthday Now one of my favourite parts of Autumn is my birthday in October. Now being an adult, birthdays are kind of not a big deal anymore. However, for my 22nd I plan to do something for it. I've booked the day off for it which is great so it gives me a chance to do something. Whether it's going somewhere for the day or go on a night out. I want to celebrate my birthday in style and just make a day of it. 2. Graduation In November is my graduation which has been a long time coming. After completing three years of university and getting my degree, Graduation is the

I Don't Know

Image
Do you ever just have days where you have no idea what you're doing with your life? Because same. It's like when you were kid and everyone used to ask you what you want to be when you grow up and it was so easy to give an answer because when you're young it seems easier to get to the person you want to be. However, as you get older the question of what you want to do when you grow up becomes harder and harder to answer because it suddenly seems impossible to do what you want to do. Reality basically kicks in and you realise you may need loads of qualifications or even experience in the field before you can do what you want to do. It's not exactly easy. I'm kind of in that situation now. I've done my GCSEs and A Levels. I've also been to university and got my degree. Now three months after finishing university. I have no idea what to do with my life or even how I'm going to get there. I'm trying to make these plans for next year but it seems di

University Essentials (Things You Shouldn't Forget)

Image
As it's coming closer to the time when everyone is starting back to university. I thought, as I recently just finished university, that I would share twenty one things that you should not forget when you go to university. I'm going to base this list mostly on people who are moving away to university but I'm sure there are a few things that students living at home could take from this. 1. Laptop I know laptops can be expensive but honestly bringing your own laptop is essential because you can do assignments, watch Netflix, YouTube and other stuff. It just means you don't have to rely on using the limited number of computers in the library all the time. The only times I used the library computers was if I needed to use Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator because I didn't have them installed on my own laptop or to print something off. It's just so much convenient having your own laptop to do your work on. 2. ID (Driving Licence/Provisional/Passport) You may g

300 Posts

Image
I can't quite believe that this is my 300th post on this blog. It's crazy. I never thought I'd ever make 300 posts. When I started this blog over four years ago, it was just a little fun. Making blog posts and getting about 10 views. I mean I got excited that 10 people read my post. Although I was worried that it was just me viewing the post. Yet I still had hope that someone somewhere was reading my blog. Now though I get up to 60 page views. Like it's crazy that so many take the time out of their day to view something that I wrote. What's even crazier is that my blog has reached over 20,000 page views. Like I never even thought it was possible. Once upon a time I was excited when I had a 1000 page views but now it's unbelievable to be that my blog has been viewed over 20,000 times. Like how is that even possible. It just goes to show when you start a blog, you might not get as much attention in the first year or so. You may only get 1000 page views in t

Everyday Makeup

Image
As I was doing my makeup today, I thought why not share with you all the products I'm using. Seeing as I haven't shown you my makeup in a blog post for a while, I thought why not show you now. Some of these products I'm using today are also relatively new but since I got them I have been loving them so far. Anyway, let's begin! The first thing I use is concealer. I don't use foundation daily just because I find it's too much effort and so I save it for special occasions if I'm going to a party or going on a night out. Instead I use concealer as I can conceal the dark circles under my eyes and any spots or blemishes on my face. I love doing this because I'm not completely covering my face and my skin can breathe while also covering up any imperfections on my face. The concealer I use is the Revolution Fast Base Concealer in the shade C3. I recently bought this concealer online from Superdrug and ever since I got it, I've been loving it. It has

Current Reading List

Image
As someone who loves reading, although I've been a little slow on the reading front this year. I thought I'd share with you what I'm currently reading. Normally I try to stick to reading just one book to read at a time but I currently have three books on my bedside which I'm trying to read now. So, let's get started: The first book I'm currently reading, or should I say rereading for the millionth time, is Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling. Sometimes if you're ever in a reading slump and don't know what to read. Reread the Harry Potter series. I'm currently on the fifth book, the Order of Phoenix. Honestly, this book is great but for some reason when I get to the fifth book it just takes me forever to get through it. Probably because it's the longest book in the series but because it takes me so long it just feels like it's effort to read it. Does anyone else feel like that? With the first four I can get through quick as a flash but as soon

Life Update

Image
It's finally September! Which means jumper season is upon us. I love this time of year when it's the beginning of Autumn because so many exciting things are happening this time of year. It's the start of school/university/college/work. It's kind of a fresh start for a lot of people where they can just hit the reset button on life and start a fresh again. Although this year it's very weird for me because for the first time in 17 years I'm not going back to school or university or any kind of education. It feels very weird because I'm not buying any new stationary or even a new planner. I just feel very odd now that I'm not in education. However, all is not at a loss because I now have a job in McDonalds. It's going well so far and it's just what I need really to keep myself busy. Plus, I'm earning money so I can start saving for my plans for next year. Honestly if you've graduated from uni and are at a stump about what to do next. Get

Blogging Stuggles

Image
I'm somebody that can easily get into things and have the motivation to keep doing it for a while. This is things like reading all the time or blogging. Then suddenly one day I'll just stop doing it then a few weeks or even months go by and I haven't done it in a while. You've probably noticed this by my very random blog schedule. One moment I'm posting all the time and the next I disappear for a few months. I never mean to do this because honestly when I do get back into blogging. I absolutely love it. Being able to write my thoughts and give out my own advice on my own little part of the internet feels amazing. Just knowing somewhere out there, someone is reading my blog post and listening to what I have to say. It feels good. I don't know if it's the case because I just go by the views of my blog post. Yet I looked at my audience stats recently and I found out that people are viewing my blog all the way from the USA, Russia, Germany, France and loads o

After Uni Plan

Image
It's officially been two months since I finished university and let's just say that life after university is not all it's cracked up to be. Most people when they finish uni believe they'll get the graduate job of their dreams and they'll be living in their own place with no worries in the world. Yeah... That's not exactly the case. I moved back home which I don't mind about because it's just me and my mum living at home. Plus, it reassures me that I have a roof over my head and I'm happy because I'm with my family. It's normal that once you finish university, most students move back home. You should remind yourself that it's not forever. Whether it takes you a year or two to move out, it won't be forever. That's why I made an after university plan which will hopefully help any recent graduates with what to do with their life. 1. Get a part time job - Now this is important because you don't want to be spending your d

Goodbye Uni

Image
Long time no blog post. I know. It's been a while but honestly I have been super busy doing assignments for uni. Now though I have a lot of free time on my hands because I have finally finished university. I can't quite believe it's over. Where did those three years go? It feels like yesterday I was arriving to university and a nervous fresher wondering what the next three years hold and now I've crossed the finishing line. I am here. Done with uni. All I have to do is wait for results and I hope I've passed. Fingers cross. For now though I have a lot of free time and five days until I officially move out of my student house. Which means I have a lot of packing and sorting out to do this week. I have to say though it has been an amazing three years of my life and I will miss being a student. I've been in educstion for nearly 17 years of my life and honestly it feels very weird to be finished with education. Although knowing I probably won't have to sit

13 Personal Questions Tag

Image
It has been a while since I've done a tag questions post and I just kind of felt like answering some questions today. It also gives a chance for any new readers that are reading my blog to kind of get to know me a bit more. I did not create this tag and I'm not sure who did but the questions are below so if you're struggling for a blog post idea then by all means try this one or any other tag questions. They're really fun to think about and answer. Anyway, without further ado let's begin these 13 personal questions. 1. What do you order at Starbucks I always order a Caramel Macchiato from Starbucks. I love it. 2. What's one thing in your closet that you cannot live without? I know for a fact that I have about six pairs of these in my wardrobe but it is my black jeggings from Primark. I love wearing them because they're comfy and go with evterything plus I have several pairs of them so that probably explains that I cannot live without them. 3. Wha
