March Favourites

Image
I can't believe it's the final day of March and you know what that means. It's time for another post about what I've been loving this month. I'm going to be honest with you. This month has flown by and I feel like my list isn't that long because I didn't get much of a chance to enjoy many things because of things like work and packing for Ireland. However, I have managed to enjoy a couple of things this month so I'm going to share them with you now.  The Apprentice I've been loving this year's Apprentice so far. It's definitely different because the candidates don't seem to be completely useless and full of themselves like in previous series. I feel like every firing that has happened so far has been justified. I can't even put my finger on who my favourite to win is but my favourite candidate is Tre Lowe as he has done really well so far and I hope he gets far in the competition. I don't know if he'll win it but we shall have

Travel Tips

Image
One thing I love to do is to travel to different places and this Friday I'm heading to Dublin which I'm very excited about as I've never been to Ireland before. This got me thinking about this week's theme can be all about travelling and what better to start than with a few travel tips that I'd thought I'd share with you as we're slowly heading to the seasons of travelling, I thought why not give you some tips to help you out if you're planning on travelling in 2024.  Let's get started. 1. Don't Overpack It's tempting to pack everything especially if you have the luggage allowance but at the same time, do you really need everything? It's really important not to overpack because one it's a heavier suitcase you have to drag along and another thing is most likely when you're away you're going to buy things while you're out there to take home with you and if you've overpacked before you've travelled there then you'

What's In My Carry On

Image
As I'm going on a plane today heading to Ireland when you're reading this post, I thought I'd share what's in my carry on bag.  This is my carry on bag, it's just a mini backpack with a galaxy theme. I've had this bag for years now and I believe it was from Amazon. I love it because it has lots of pockets, plus a secret pocket at the back which is handy for valuables. Plus it can fit quite a bit in it which is handy because I have a lot of things I'm taking with me. Now for what's inside my bag. This is my iPhone 11 in a purple case I got from Amazon. I'm also aware that it's incredibly dirty and needs to be cleaned. Please don't judge me. I'm sure the screen you're reading this on isn't exactly clean. Either way, I can't go anywhere without my phone so I'm taking it with me to Ireland.  This is a recent buy that I got from Home Bargains and it's a travel organiser. I was actually after an organiser that I can keep for

Packing Tips

Image
As it's coming up to the travel season where the Easter holidays are upon us and it will soon be Summer. Plus I'm going away this weekend to Dublin which I'm very excited about so I thought it would be a good idea to share some packing tips with you to help you with your packing needs. Let's get started. Make a list One of the best ways to get organised with your packing is to make a list. Sometimes just writing everything you need for your trip down will keep you on track and will also make you less likely to forget anything. Plus you can prioritise all your essentials for your trip. I like to split my list up into sections such as my suitcase and my carry on as well as my liquids. It just makes your packing so much easier when you make a list. Packing Cubes One of the things that makes packing so much easier is packing cubes. It minimises space in your suitcase but it also keeps your suitcase organised. Even when you reach your destination, it makes unpacking so much

Going To Dublin

Image
In two days time, I'll be on a plane flying to Dublin and I'm so excited for it. I've never been to Dublin before, let alone Ireland, so I'm really excited about it. This will probably be the shortest flight I've taken also because it's only fifty five minutes from Liverpool which is another first for me because I've never actually flown from Liverpool either. I'm actually amazed at how quickly it's come because I remember me and my mum booking it back in January, getting excited for it and now it's finally here. My suitcase is all packed and getting ready for the travel posts this week because I have a lot for you to help you get ready for travelling. I'm honestly so excited to go to Dublin for a number of reasons which are: Going on a bus tour I don't know why but I really love going on a bus tour around a new city. Especially when it's a hop on, hop off bus because it makes getting around the city easier but I also get to learn som

A Letter To My Future Self

Image
This is a letter to myself in one year's time. At the moment your life is feeling very uncertain right now with everything that has recently happened. I hope that you manage to overcome that uncertainty and you came out of it with a more improved version of yourself.  Perhaps you've entered a new career change or maybe even developed some new skills in life. Maybe you've met the man of your dreams and are quite content in your relationship with him. You might have made the big move out of your mum's house or even managed to get yourself a car so you're driving around all over the place. Maybe you've met a new friend and are having coffee dates every week. You might have even gotten into fitness and are eating healthier.  Either way, I hope the future is a positive one and you might be struggling right now, but I hope in a year's time you can see how far you've come and you might even laugh at your overthinking thoughts. I know I'll be 28 in a year

Feeling Blue

Image
Sometimes life does get you down and sometimes hit you unexpectedly that you just can't help but feel blue.  That's okay. We're all allowed to have off days. They happen. Sometimes when we least expect it as we could some news or find something out or something happened that caused us to feel blue. Oftentimes there's a reason for it and other times there's no reason for it.  We all have days where we just don't want to do a lot or we're feeling a little overwhelmed that our emotions are a little sensitive that even when the slightest thing goes wrong, we burst into tears. That's okay. It happens.  How do we overcome this feeling of being blue? One of the things is doing something you enjoy. One that really has helped me is scrapbooking. Just listening to the music and focusing on creating a new page in my scrapbook by putting different pieces together has really helped me. It's focusing my mind and even for a short time I can just relax by being crea

5 Things I Love About Spring

Image
Spring is in the air and I'm so excited for it. I'd say Spring is my second favourite season because it's not too hot but it's also not too cold. It's weather that's just right for me. Now that the season of Spring is here, I thought I'd share five things I love about Spring with you guys. Let's get started. 1. Easter Who doesn't love getting chocolate easter eggs. It's always exciting, although I sometimes treat myself to a mini Easter egg early because I just love the taste of it. Is it me or does chocolate taste better when it's in an egg form. I love it. This Easter is actually exciting for me because it's a bank holiday and I'm going to be spending it in Dublin for the first time. I've never been to Ireland before so I'm really excited for this. I can't wait. This Easter is going to be great. Let me know what your plans for this Easter weekend are in the comments below. I would love to hear it. 2. Longer days Very soo

My Dream Man

Image
As someone who has been single for a while now and only experienced my first official relationship last year which only lasted for a few months, I can't help but wonder what my dream man would be like.  Now for obvious reasons, I know this won't be strictly accurate but one can hope that the man I fall in love with will have some of these qualities.  For starters, I just want a man who is caring. Who cares not just about the big things but also the little things. Asks me about my day, my life, my ambitions, my plans for the future and actually cares about the responses. I also want a man that just cares about how I feel and respects it because I would do the same for him. I see it as an equal partnership. I care about him and he cares about me. That's the main thing.  I also want a man who will actually make the effort and not just use me. I want one that wants to hang out but also wants to go on dates. Someone who makes the effort to message and call me or even just let me

What To Do When You're Bored

Image
Sometimes boredom hits you like a brick and sometimes you have no idea what to do. You may find yourself endlessly scrolling through social media or watching YouTube videos but suddenly that doesn't seem so appealing anymore so you need to find something else to do. Fear not as I am here to help you get out of your boredom and find something useful to do. 1. Go Somewhere Honestly, sometimes to cure the boredom can often be just to leave the house. Whether it's to go for a walk, a drive, a bus ride or even jump on a train and go somewhere new. Adventure is out there and you never really know what your day will bring when you step outside the house. You could meet the love of your life, discover a new place to walk or even a cafe or a shop you've never been to before. The possibilities are endless. Sometimes all you need to cure your boredom is take a step outside and go on an adventure. 2. Scrapbooking Something I've been really enjoying recently is scrapbooking. It'

What's In My Bag?

Image
Another classic post but I've been using this bag on my days off and I love it because it's a bag that can be used everyday but I've also taken it on a night out also.  Anyway, let's get started with what's in my bag. This bag I've had for many years now that I can't remember where I got it from. I know it says Barcelona on it but I've never actually been to Barcelona. However, I do think I got it when I was holidaying in Spain. Possibly Calella but it was so long ago that I can't actually remember. I love this bag though because even though it's a small bag you can fit quite a lot in it and it's a perfect bag for the daytime as well as the nighttime too which is what I love about it. Let's take a look inside. The first thing I pull out is my phone. It's just the iPhone 11 which I've had for a few years now and I use it everyday. Not much else to say really as we all have a phone. The next thing I pull out is this Profusion Juicy

Makeup Routine

Image
I'm someone who wears makeup on a daily basis to work and I'd thought I'd share my daily makeup routine with you guys to create a natural look. I've added a few new products to my routine since my last makeup post so I hope you enjoy it. The first thing I always start with is my eyebrows because I feel like that's what shapes my face but also I'm a perfectionist so I like to try to do them the best that I can first. Plus if I make a mistake with them, I can easily rub it off without ruining the rest of my face. I've been loving using the Collection Incredibrow Pen in the shade blonde as it really helps me to shape my brows and fill them in perfectly.  Now for concealer because I don't wear foundation on a daily basis. I've been loving this concealer which is the Studio London Flaunt Flawless Cream Concealer. It blends in well to my face particularly under the eyes and it does the job perfectly. I've been looking for a new concealer for a while so
