University Bedroom Haul

Image
Yesterday, I decided to get out of the house as I was home alone. I also really wanted to buy some decorations for my bedroom as I had a side table with nothing on it because I was originally having my TV on it but it didn't fit so my TV is now downstairs in the living room. Anyway I thought I may as well go shopping and find some things. The first place I went to was Home Bargains as it does a lot of good deals on homeware and it did not disappoint. I wanted some new fairy lights so I bought these as I thought they would be really cute and sometimes you can't go wrong with fairy lights as it makes your room look really cosy. It was also £3.99 so I thought it wasn't too bad.               The next thing I bought was a mason jar. I had this idea where I could put some fairy lights which I already owned inside the jar and I just thought it would look really nice at night. This jar was only 99p. The final thing I bought in Home Bargains is this light up & sym

My Reading Routine

Image
As you know I am a massive book lover and I love just reading. I don't follow this routine every time I pick up a book and read as sometimes I read while I'm on a train or sometimes I read in the living room. However this is mostly how I like to read and what I like doing when I'm set out on reading a book. Now the most important thing for me while reading is quietness. I hate being surrounded by noise or people talking around me as when I am I can't concentrate on what I'm reading then I end up losing the line I'm on and I keep reading the same line over and over again. That's why I tend to read upstairs in my bedroom. My bedroom is my sanctuary because it's my bedroom and it's only me who is in my bedroom. Plus it's nice and quiet when the door is closed. So yeah I like the quietness. While I'm reading I tend to have a drink by my side so that if I get thirsty I have a drink nearby. Normally I make a cup of tea because I love tea

Second Year

Image
It feels so crazy that tomorrow I will be travelling up to my university again to begin my second year. I am both so excited and so nervous. It feels like yesterday that this time last year I was about to start my first year of university. It's crazy how fast a year has gone. They do say your years at university fly by and I have to say I feel like they have. Not for one second do I regret the decision of going to university because I'm glad I did it. It's a great experience and I feel so much more prepared for adult life. I know how to be independent without having to rely on my parents. I know how to manage money, cook, clean and even do laundry. I manage to learn it all in a year and now I get to do it all again starting tomorrow. However the independence is not the best part. It's the different people you meet from all over the country and the experiences. Freshers Week alone is an experience which I'll never forget as it was the best week of my life last ye

A Mini Book Haul

Image
Today I was in town with my mother and she had a dentist appointment so rather than waiting in the waiting room I thought I'd go around the charity shops and look at books. Let me just say I had a successful shopping trip and bought four books. Though if I could I would have bought more but my mum came in as I was buying two books and so we had to go home. However, I was really happy with my purchases and I thought I'd share them with you. Some of these you'll be familiar with. The first place I went to was an Oxfam Bookshop which I couldn't resist as there was loads of books to choose from. I did look at most of the fiction section but then I came across the classic literature. This is where I discovered there was many Jane Austen books. Now I wish I could buy all the Jane Austen books but I decided to refrain myself and buy a book which I am familiar and one I'm not so familiar with. The first book I picked up is Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. I'

The Outcome Of The Resit

Image
I just thought I'd make a quick update for you as I made a post back in July about having to do a resit as I had failed one of my assignments. Let's just say I got it done within a month of the actual deadline and submitted it. It was a terrifying process of just waiting because I don't know how well I did or if I've even passed it. In university they give you a second and third chance to redo your assignment. I was nervous because I really wanted to go to second year and not feel like a complete failure if I had to redo the first year again. I suppose it happens sometimes and you have to just get through. Anyway, tonight I had my result back for my resit and it turns out I've passed it. Now I can move on to my second year of university. I'm so happy because I've been panicking and telling myself 'What ifs' if it came to the conclusion I failed it. Luckily though I've passed and I'm so happy. Although I am quite nervous about moving on to

My Autumn Reading List

Image
As you guys know I'm a massive bookworm and I thought I'd share with you my Autumn (also known as Fall) Reading List. The current book I'm reading is Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. I am loving this book and all the characters. It is just a relatable story about life and fangirling. I'm on the last 100 pages so I should be able to finish it by tomorrow. The next book I am going to be reading is Little Women by Louisa May Alcott as I've seen the film and it's not a very long book. I just thought it would be a nice quick little book to read while I'm waiting for a book I've ordered which I want to read. I'm trying to get around to reading most of my unread books on my bookshelf. Another book from my bookshelf which I have not read yet is The Railway Children by E. Nesbit. I just thought this will be another quick read and I can say I've read the book. I also really liked the film and so I thought I may as well read the book. In my opinion

The 200th Post

Image
200 posts and two years and 4 months of blogging I never thought I'd get this far but I have. I really have been enjoying making posts for you guys. I know I don't have a fanbase or a huge audience but honestly every time I see over 10 page views on a post then it just puts a smile to my face knowing 10 people have taken the time to come and view my blog. It's nice blogging because it's like a journal but except it's not private. It's on the internet for anyone in the world to see. I mean I've seen the audience stats and some of you who read this come from different countries. It just makes my heart swell. As I write this post today I have had 7854 page views and it still grows. I hope in the next 100 posts that it grows and who knows what will happen or where I'll be in 100 post times.  However in 2017 I'm planning on blogging even more and I'm going to make 200 blog posts and maybe even more than that. So far I'

Shopaholic!

Image
As most of you know there has been a book series which I have been reading these past few months. Back on the 2nd of May I finished reading Finding Audrey by Sophie Kinsella and started reading another of her books called The Secret Dreamworld of a Shopaholic. I wasn't sure if this was a series where I'd buy all the books or even enjoy it. However though as soon as I finished this book, I wanted to know what happens next in the life of Becky Bloomwood. I ended up buying the next book and the book after that. I did read books in between the series but I always went back to reading the series and loving every minute of it. I have to say these books are like a romantic comedy all within a book. It just amazes me and half the time I have no idea how it's going to end as it's full of plot twists and unexpected things happen. Half the time you're like 'How is Becky going to get out of this situation' Most of the time Becky is in some kind of situation whether
