We're now in the sixth month of the year and as you're reading this I'm currently on holiday in Majorca. I've obviously written this post in advance so I can really tell you how my holiday is going but let's just say I am very much enjoying the relaxing break.  As you know, May I had a bit of a creative block with this but recently, my motivation has come back to blogging which is why there have been several posts this week. Mainly to make up for my absence last month. I have a few posts planned for this month which I'm excited about sharing with you. I've actually taken my notebook that I'm working on my novel on holiday with me so expect another writing update this month. I'm also going to share how my holiday went, do a little summary or photo journal of how it all went down so look forward to that. I'm feeling very positive about this blog and in my absence I have noticed an increase in page views that I have never seen before. In May, I had ...

May Favourites

Image
The end of another month and it's time for a favourite post of everything I've loved in May. Let's get started. The Sims 4 I always go through a phase where I'm obsessed with The Sims then all of a sudden I'll stop playing it and it will be months. This month during my creative block, I got back into playing The Sims 4 and I've been loving it. It's such a comfort game. I know it's basically looking after a sim and giving them a life. I've enjoyed levelling up the skills and building their career. I've managed to get my sim married and am now trying for a baby. I've also had a lot of fun building houses on The Sims. Creating luxury mansions that I know my Sims could never afford. Although, my Sim did earn over $160,000 so I was able to move my Sim into one of my built luxury mansions which was an achievement in itself. Plus as my Sim is currently trying for a baby, I need a bigger house. Anyway, as you can tell I've been loving The Sims 4 ...

My Writing Journey 1

Image
I decided to create a series on my blog where I share my writing journey with you.  Currently, I'm working on a novel and I've been wanting to write a novel for a long time. A couple of years ago I did a first draft of a novel but I wasn't happy with how it turned out. Now, I've thought of a new idea for a novel and I've never been more excited to write a novel. I love the idea and I think it is a strong idea that has potential. Of course, I'm only in the early stages of the writing process at the moment so it is very much a working progress.  Why did I start my novel? I started working on this novel after completing a class on Skillshare. The class was called Creative Writing Bootcamp by Myla Goldberg and I highly recommend it because it really did inspire me. One of the exercises was to write about someone you dislike and I did which then created this whole new character in my head. We had to do an empathy venn diagram which is where you have to compare what s...

Travel Tips

Image
I'm going on holiday to Majorca on Wednesday which I'm so excited about as I always love going on holiday. I'm a weirdo that even gets excited when I go to the airport. It's just that whole excitement before you travel. I thought I'd share some travel tips that have really helped me to make my whole travelling and holiday experience as relaxing as possible. Let's get started. 1. Organise all your travel documents I'm not just talking about making sure you've printed off your boarding pass. I'm talking about checking your passport. Is it in date? There's always new travel rules so do your research before you travel. Make sure you have your insurance sorted. Find out if you need visas. Make sure you keep your travel documents in one place in either an organiser or a little folder.  2. Make a packing list This is something that has always helped when travelling is making a list of everything I need and I'm talking about everything. This way when...

Creative Block

Image
Hi, it's been a while since I've last written here and there is a reason for that. I've had a creative block. It's a real struggle because I've been meaning to get back into blogging for a while now as I knew we're getting towards the end of May and I've only made one post this month. Last month I was supposed to post everyday for a month but that's when the creative block hit and I didn't really know what to write about. It's ironic because I even made a post about how to beat creative blocks. Little did I know it was going to hit me hard. That's why I'm here now because I felt like I owed it to you, my fellow readers, to explain where I've been and why I haven't posted. Another thing that got in the way was work had been very busy and after work or on my days off I didn't feel like writing a post. I've also been working on writing my novel which has been occupying my time quite a bit. I think I was focusing on writing my...

May

Here we are, the fifth month of the year and we’re flying through this year already. I’m very excited because at the end of this month I’m on holiday in Majorca with my family. It’s very exciting because I always love going away on holiday. There’s also two bank holidays this month which is even more exciting.  Other than that I don’t really have a lot planned for this month. I’ve got family staying this weekend. I’m hoping to work on my novel this month as I haven’t really had much of a chance recently. It feels like I’ve been so busy with work and I haven’t really had much time for myself. That’s all going to change this month. This month is a new month, new me. I’m feeling positive about this month as I’ve had a few meh months these past couple of months but now it’s onwards and upwards.  Looking forward to it all. Let me know if you have anything exciting for this month. I’d love to hear it. Thank you for taking the time to view my blog and I’ll be back soon with another p...

April Favourites

Image
The end of another month means it's time for a list of all my favourites of the month. Let's get started. Wreck This Journal by Keri Smith I saw a tiktok the other day where it showed a video of someone doing a page out of Wreck This Journal. I'd heard of it before but never actually thought of getting it. As someone who loves scrapbooking, this journal felt perfect so I spent a Christmas gift voucher and bought it. I've had so much fun so far filling out the different pages. The point is to destroy the journal but I'm a little tame at the moment. I know there's pages like taking the book in the shower or throwing it off a high ledge. Each page is like a different project. The best part is there's no right or wrong way to do the journal. You can interpret the instructions how you like and nobody can judge you. It's definitely therapeutic to do. I'm excited to keep going with this journal. Love, Rosie I watched Love, Rosie this month and I forgot how ...

Things That Make Me Happy

Image
I thought I'd share five things that make me happy because it's good to have things in your life that make you happy and these are mine. Let's get started.  Driving My Own Car I honestly love driving my car. It's a great feeling just being able to get in my car and go anywhere. I love listening to music in my car because when I drive, I'm singing along and it's a great feeling. It's therapeutic. When I first got my car, it made me nervous but as long as you know what you're doing and go at your pace. Plus remain focused then you'll be fine. It gives you so much freedom and independence when you drive and honestly, I don't know what I did before I had my own car.  Playing a video game I don't know why but getting invested in a good video game is something that really makes me happy. Sometimes I love replaying games I know off by heart but it helps me to switch my brain off and focus on something in a while. Recently I've played Tomb Raider...

Going For A Walk

Image
On Easter Sunday, I woke up early and instead of being lazy I decided to go for a walk. I got dressed and got in my car to drive to town. I knew it would be quiet as it was early Sunday morning so not many people would be out. It was lovely, I parked up in a pretty much empty car park and decided to walk on the promenade. It was so quiet and so nice. It was also so refreshing. I’ve been feeling a bit down recently but going on this walk, listening to music was honestly so good for my mood. It didn’t matter that I was on my own. I just walked, listening to my music and it felt so good. They say going for a walk improves your mental health and honestly it does. Especially when you put on your headphones and listen to your favourite songs. In a weird way you feel like you’re in a musical and I have to stop myself from bursting out singing. It was a lovely walk and I took a few pictures along the way.  There we have it, that was my long walk along the promenade. I love walking by the s...

Happy Easter

Image
Wishing you all a very Happy Easter whether you celebrate it or it's just another Sunday for you. At least it's the bank holiday weekend. I feel quite blessed because I'm not back in work until Wednesday so I'm making the most of it. I've bought my own Easter egg to enjoy for the day, although I did start eating some of it on Friday.  I'm spending time with my family today, not doing a lot but just relaxing. Might go for a walk later to get some fresh air but other than that. Nothing much else is going on today for me.  However you're spending the day, I hope it's a good one and I wish you all the best. Thank you for taking the time to view my blog and I'll be back soon with another post. See you then.  Megan x  *This is not a sponsored post* For business enquiries or just a chat email: megantimeblog@gmail.com

Can't Sleep

Image
Do you ever have those mornings where you can't sleep anymore? I woke up at 6am this morning and for the life of me I couldn't get back to sleep. Even though it's a Saturday, it's my day off. I thought of my blog and realised I haven't written anything these past few days which I felt guilty about. Honestly, my brain was lacking a bit of creativity and I didn't really know what to write about that's why the last couple of days have been lacking in posts.  That's when I thought this morning when I was awake that I could write a post today which is what I'm doing right now. I got up out of bed, grabbed my laptop and went downstairs to the living room. I made myself coffee and sat down to write this post.  It's an interesting feeling being the first one awake in your house. You feel peace and quiet because everyone is still in the land of dreams and you're not. I read somewhere in a book that if you can't sleep then the best thing to do is g...

I Have A Dream

Image
Now that I finally got my car, I want to do a bit more travelling. I would love to explore different parts of the UK. I felt quite inspired the other day after watching Mamma Mia Here We Go. I like how Donna just went off on her own and did her own thing. She didn't have a plan, she just knew where she wanted to go and figured it out when she got there. She even found love and ended up making a whole life for herself.  One day, I would love to take a trip on my own. Go abroad somewhere. A dream I do have, it might be a silly dream but it's my dream. I would love to take a trip to Paris. It's a city I've always wanted to visit. I would love to go on the Eurostar and stay in a hotel. Then as cheesy as it sounds, I'd want to do all the tourist things. Go up the Eiffel Tower and see attractions like Notre Dame, Arc De Triomphe, the Louvre. Even go on a bus tour around the city. I feel like Paris is one of those cities you could travel and explore on your own. It's d...

Pampering

Image
Sometimes you need a pamper session to really refresh your mindset and make you feel relaxed. I thought I’d share what I do during my pamper session so you can either follow along or inspire you to have your own pampering. Let’s get started. For me, having a bath is something that always gets me in the relaxing mood. I got to have a bath bomb so I got this one from Primark. I have quite a collection of bath bombs from Primark. I just think they’re reasonably priced and make a bath more complete. Of course I have bubbles and don’t ask why I have this Matey bubble bath but it makes really good bubbles and it smells of apples.  I also have to watch something while I’m in the bath and decided to watch Mamma Mia Here We Go. I haven’t seen it in a while and bought it on Amazon when it first came out so I decided to give it a watch again. It’s definitely a comfort movie. Not as good as the first one but not a bad sequel either. Plus who doesn’t love listening to ABBA. I washed my hair usi...

Being Stood Up

Image
You don't realise what it feels like to be stood up until it actually happens to you. Surprisingly, I've been stood up twice this year. Once in January and the second time was this month. The weird thing out of all of it was it wasn't my idea to meet up for a date, it was actually they're idea so to be stood up just felt weird because I couldn't really explain why it happened. Even the second time it happened, that was supposed to be a first date which was arranged the day before so it was very confusing to turn up for a date and he never showed up. Didn't even send a message. Just never turned up. It almost feels like the reason I've been stood up is because of me as it's happened twice to me this year and I'm still wondering why it happened. Both times we seemed to get along fine and the conversation flowed. Nothing happened to suggest why they would stand me up. I should also point out that it was two separate guys. Not the same guy because otherw...

Dos And Don'ts Of Online Dating

Image
As someone who has used dating apps in the past, I've picked up a few things along the way about what you should and shouldn't do on them. Granted I'm still single to this day but I've met people previously on dating apps and it started off well. I thought I'd share some useful tips on the dos and don'ts of online dating. Let's get started. Do keep it real Be yourself and share your interests. The important thing when it comes to online dating is to be yourself and don’t pretend to be someone you’re not. Sharing your interests and hobbies may intrigue people to want to talk to you because it shows you care about things and also they might have the same interests as you so you’ve got something to talk about. Plus it’s easier if you just be yourself. Don’t share too much personal info  That goes without saying by keeping it real but don’t share too much personal info. I never share where I work because the last thing you want is someone from a dating app track...

Happy Driving

Image
As some of you know, I’ve recently got a new car. Now I passed my test back in August 2023 but I haven’t actually driven a car since passing my test. This year I was able to get myself a car, ford fiesta trend 2023. I absolutely love it because a ford fiesta is what I learned in so it was very familiar to me. I was driving a lot with my mum when I first got it but last week I decided to drive to work on my own and it was the best decision. It felt weird but I slowly got used to it.  The other day I actually went for a drive on my day off, it was a nice feeling because I was on my own and wanted to get out of the house. I decided to go for it. It is still a little nerve wracking but I feel more confident than I did a few weeks ago. It’s just a nice feeling when you can drive. I can take myself anywhere and go where I want. Plus I can sing along to my favourite tunes in the car with nobody judging me. I do have a P plate on the back of my car as I have stalled a couple of times so I’...

Manchester Photo Journal

Image
Two weeks ago I went to Manchester and I thought I'd share a photo journal of my trip to Manchester. Let's get started.  We got the train to Manchester which is always fun but this was probably the smoothest train journey I've taken. We were going to be in Manchester for three nights which feels like the longest hotel stay I've ever spent in Manchester but it was a lot of fun. We got to our hotel and this was the lovely view. We stayed in a Holiday Inn Express which I never have any problems with. It was an ideal location as we were near the Arndale but also near Victoria station if we needed to travel around the city. Speaking of which, we got the tram. I always love travelling by Tram in Manchester because it's so convenient and I'm so well known in the tramline that I know which stops to get off at or which trams we need to be on. I don't always need the tram map anymore. Sometimes though it's handy to look at the map, just in case. We travelled to Me...
