Last Day Of August

Image
Can you believe that it's the last day of August and tomorrow is September? Summer just feels like its been and gone. I think when you work all the time it feels like everyday just goes by in a flash and you forget what day it is. Then all of a sudden it's the end of August which for me means the end of Summer. I've always found that when September arrives it's the start of Autumn which is my favourite season. I love Autumn for many different reasons like my birthday, Halloween, bonfire night. I also like the fact that September is like the start of something new for a lot of people because of school and university. I always find September a time to make some changes and get a fresh new start. It's a reminder that the year is not over yet. So yeah, I feel like I haven't done a lot this summer. I've just been working and I did go to a festival for August Bank Holiday. Although I do have 8 days off work right now so I'm going to use this time to mak

My Festival Camping Tips

Image
I've been going to the same festival now for six years and I've camped there for four years so this will be my fifth year camping. I feel like now I've become a festival camping expert and the amount of packing lists I've made over the years has helped me out a lot. I thought I'd make this post as it is around festival season and it would be useful if you're planning on camping at a festival. So let's get started 1. The tent Obviously I recommend getting a good tent. Not just some pop up or two man tent. Get a four man tent or even a bigger one. Just because you don't want a tent that can easily blow away or get ruined by rain. If you're going with a group of friends, you could always pitch in together and get a more expensive tent just because it won't be cramped and you may be able to actually stand up in it. Honestly though there's nothing wrong with a simple four man tent. 2. Sleeping arrangements Personally, I'd recommen

Blogging Everyday Fail

Image
So yeah that was a big fail. We're fifteen days into August and I only made three posts. Oops. I think I had planned to blog everyday in August but then life kind of got in the way so this blog took a back seat and I had a load of posts that were written but I just never got around to publishing them. I also scheduled the first three blog posts back in July ready for August but I just forgot to edit and schedule the rest so yeah big fail on my part. Then of course I realised I wasn't blogging everyday and the guilt plus a lot of procrastination kicked in. Ironically I did make a post about procrastination but I didn't publish it because I procrastinated by saying I'll do it later. I'm sorry if you were looking forward to me posting everyday in August but life happens and I don't do well under pressure. I forget things very easily. Plus procrastinate a lot. So I've decided to only post when I feel like it and not put too much pressure on myself. I wi

Why You Should Blog?

Image
Honestly I think everyone should get a blog because it's a great way to actually look back on the things you've done. I'm really glad I have a blog because I've been blogging now for five years. I was seventeen when I started this blog and I'm now a twenty two year old. I was actually looking back at some of my past posts and it's kind of interesting because I didn't have many well written posts in 2014 but I started to improve a little in 2015. That was also the year I finished school and went onto university so it was a kind of exciting year. Now I can look back on my uni years through these posts. I even have a room tour of my first uni room which is nice to look back on. It's just kind of nice because I have sometimes used this blog as a kind of diary to share some of my thoughts and feelings on life in general and it's great to look back on them and see how far I've come since then. It's also fun to see some of the little exciting

Simple Makeup Routine

Image
I thought I'd share with you guys my simple makeup routine that I use on a daily basis for work. This is kind of natural makeup look so it's perfect for everyday wear. Now this makeup routine has only got eight products, all of which are from the drugstore and very affordable. It also goes to show you don't need a lot of makeup on a daily basis. So let's get started with this simple makeup routine. 1. Concealer  The first product I start with is concealer. I always prefer using concealer over foundation because I find it's all I need. I use it to cover up the dark circles under my eyes and any blemishes I have. The concealer is the Revolution Supersize Conceal & Define Concealer in the shade C3. This is a really good concealer and I find it covers up the dark circles and blemishes really well. I also love the big doe foot applicator it has to apply the concealer because I find it gets a lot of product on the application and it's easy to use to cover

Blogging Everyday In August

Image
I wanted to do a blog post everyday for a month again and I thought the perfect month to do that would be August. As it's Summer and I feel like I have a lot more things going on in August which will mean there will be a few exciting posts and not a load of boring posts of me just rambling about how I have no idea what to post about. Now, I actually do have a goal this year and I want to create 100 posts this year so I'm hoping that blogging everyday in August will help me get closer to that goal. I have a feeling I will achieve this goal probably before Christmas but it's just nice to have a little goal in mind to keep me motivated to blog more. I encourage every blogger to blog everyday for a month because honestly it's a way to motivate you to blog more knowing you have to blog everyday. Also you can literally blog about anything. You can blog about what you got up to in the day. You can talk about your thoughts about a topic that's on your mind. You can e
