February Favourites

Image
As it's the last day of February, I thought I'd share all the things I've been loving this February. So let's get started! Beauty: I Heart Revolution Bronze and Glow I have been in search of a good contour palette for a while. As my favourite Revolution Renaissance Glow palette was discontinued. I was looking for a contour that suited my fair skin and didn't look orange or muddy. Then I came across this I Heart Revolution palette and I swear it's so similar to the Renaissance Glow palette. It doesn't look muddy or orange. Plus it is buildable so you can do a simple contour or a dramatic contour. I love it. Also it smells like chocolate so another reason to love it. Film/TV: Hell's Kitchen (U.S.) Recently I have been binge watching series of Hell's Kitchen. It's just kind of fun to watch Gordon Ramsay scream and swear at Chefs. I don't know what it is about it but I just can't stop watching it and it's something I ha

Behind The Scenes

Image
As I have been blogging now for nearly six years now, I feel like I've gained enough experience to pass on some blogging advice to you. I thought I'd give you a little behind the scenes look at my blog and show you my little routine on how I make blog posts plus run my blog. So let's go behind the scenes of my blog: 1. Coffee Of course the first thing I always have is a coffee. I always find coffee makes me feel motivated and usually whenever I'm blogging, I always have coffee in my favourite mug. 2. Inspiration To get inspired, I like to watch a movie and one movie that always makes me feel motivated is The Intern. It's a great movie and it's about people working in an online fashion store so I always find that makes me want to do better and get some work done.  Another place I look for inspiration is Pinterest. There's plenty of pins about blogging and ideas. It's always nice to browse Pinterest if you are having Blogger's

Okay?

Image
Okay is just a word and yet it has so many different meanings. Okay was a big thing back in 2014 with the Fault In Our Stars and it was a good thing. It made people happy. Sometimes when okay is spelt differently then it has more meanings. Like when someone just writes K then that means you don't care or you're annoyed about something to the point you have to write just one letter. That's understandable. I try to avoid writing K at all costs because I know K means bad. Now, something new to the picture is "It's okay not to be okay." That's a phrase most likely you will find on many people's social media pages. As if the phrase is helping. Well, I'm going to be honest that phrase is not helping. Are we encouraging people who are not okay that it's completely fine and normal. I mean it is a normal thing but what if there is more to it than that. Shouldn't you realise that what they're trying to tell you is that they are not okay

Five Adult Life Hacks

Image
It's a struggle being an adult and sometimes you never know what life is going to throw at you next. I am a twenty three year old and I still have not got life figured out yet. Although these little life hacks and have helped me get by so maybe they'll help you too. 1. Do whatever makes you happy Honestly, our own happiness matters so much and the best cause of action is that if something doesn't make you happy then it's time to get rid of it. Whether it's a friend that's making you happy or you're unhappy in your job or where you live. Then now is the time to change those things. Don't think about the consequences. Just think about what you can do to make the situation better whether that is getting rid of a friend that is constantly bringing you down or a job you are always dreading about everyday. These things can be change. Like Marie Kondo says "If it sparks joy, keep it. If it doesn't, thank it and get rid of it." Honestly if yo

10 Things You Don't Know About Me

Image
I feel like I've done this post before but I can't remember so I just thought I'd make an up to date 10 things you don't know about me. It gives anyone new to my blog an insight into the most random facts about me and I just thought this would be fun. So here are 10 things you don't know about me: 1. I'm twenty three years old For those of you who don't know, I am twenty three years old. Born in 1996. Twenty four in October. Scary times. Yeah, I've been blogging since I was a seventeen years old so it's kind of crazy how fast the time has gone. It feels like yesterday since I had started this blog. 2. I live in Wales I don't really talk about where I live because privacy reasons but for those of you who don't know. I do live in Wales with my mum. We have been here since I was ten years old and lived in four addresses. Of course I spent three years in university in Warrington but I moved back here afterwards to try and figure out wh

Overcoming Travel Anxiety

Image
Sometimes travelling can be a scary thing. Things can go wrong and sometimes you can find yourself panicking over the smallest things. I thought I'd make this blog post as well to help you overcome any travel anxiety you might have. Let's all help each other out because travelling does not have to be a bad thing and the last thing you want is to be filled with anxiety before you travel. So here are some of my tips for overcoming travel anxiety. 1. Relax Everything is going to be fine. You can make travelling much easier if you just relax. I know it's easier said than done. Honestly though it's a great time to relax because you are visiting a new place and basically going on an adventure. Sometimes the best part of going away is not the destination but the journey itself. So just relax. 2. Pack what you can carry I know it's very tempting to pack everything but the kitchen sink and to pack things just in case. However, sometimes travelling can be so much ea

Monday

Image
Monday. Whether you love it or hate it. Monday is a day that happens once a week, every week for the entire year and the rest of our lives. Many consider Monday to be the start of a new week and I am one of those people who have always believed it. Monday is the perfect time to wake up early. Days feel so much longer when you wake up early. Even if it is at 8am in the morning. At least you're awake at a decent time. It's a good idea to do some journaling. Write down any thoughts and feelings you may have for the week ahead. Just let it all out in a journal and it will feel like a weight has been lifted. I always find journaling affects my mental health because if I'm feeling anxious or upset about something, I usually write it down and I feel like that's my way of coping with it. I find it makes me feel so much better when I write my thoughts and feelings down. It's a day to plan the week ahead. Even if you have no plans for the week. Why not make

I'm Here For You

Image
Mental Health is important and so is having someone to listen to you. If you're feeling down then I want to let you know that you can always talk to me. I know I'm most likely a stranger to you but I'm a very good listener. I've always been the listener rather than the talker so if you're struggling it's better to talk about it than keep it bottled up. Talk to a friend, a parent, a sibling, a teacher, an uncle, an aunt. Anyone. You can always talk to me privately through email or a direct message on social media. I'll have a chat with you if you're struggling. Maybe if you don't trust this blogger then you can always turn to other places that will talk to you. Samaritans is a good place to start:  https://www.samaritans.org/ You can call them, email them, write them a letter or even in person. They can help you if you're struggling. Even if you think the problem is a little thing or a big thing. They can and will help you. Everybody

Being Single On Valentine's Day

Image
It's that day again where all the couples around the world celebrate Valentine's Day while us singletons are left not feeling the love. Last year I went into a rant about my problem with Valentine's Day which I will leave a link below for you guys to check out. Basically I have a problem with Valentine's day because it is all about people in a relationship but they never actually talk about us singletons who don't have anyone to share Valentine's Day with. I mean it must be nice if you have a partner or friends to enjoy the day with but it's almost like they don't want us singletons to enjoy the day of love. I feel like Valentine's day should encourage some self love because there are a lot of single people out there and there might be a whole list of reasons why they are not in a relationship. This being my 23rd year of being single on Valentine's Day, I am kind of used to it just being another day in the calendar. Most of the time I wil

Why I Started Blogging?

Image
Today, I thought I'd make this post to talk about why I started blogging. To be honest I don't have a clear answer as to why I started blogging. I have gone back and forth with blogging before but when I was seventeen years old, I decided to start a blog back in May 2014. The main reason I started blogging was because I was bored and at the time YouTubers were at their prime but I was to shy to make a YouTube channel. Although blogging appealed to me because I didn't have to show my face. I can hide behind my blog and there's only a few photos of me. The main thing about blogging is ultimately the writing and I love being able to write blog posts. In the beginning I didn't really stick to my blog because at the time I was going through my A Levels and dealing with teenage issues. I only made 15 posts in 2014 but in 2015 was when I decided to take my blog more seriously. It was like my own personal online journal that I could write and other people could read.

A Little Self-Reflection

Image
For today's post, I am going to do a little self-reflection and I thought it would be nice to give you a little insight into my life and how I'm feeling. Something I need to get off my chest right now is I'm feeling a little nervous about the future. Last week, I arranged for a flat viewing (which is actually happening today when this post is going up) but the one thing that made them unsure about me was my age. They wanted applicants to be twenty four and I am twenty three years old (although I am twenty four in October). It has made me have a few doubts that things might not go well and is making me think I need to rethink my future. So yeah I am feeling a bit unsure about it all but whatever will be will be. Although I am not letting it bring me down. Maybe I will find the right flat whether that is today or another day. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I will achieve my goals. Some advice I will give myself is everything is gonna be okay. As long as I am ha

Five Places I Want To Visit

Image
We all have hopes and dreams in life plus some places we would love to visit. I thought I would share with you guys some places I would love to visit. Some of which could be possible and I am planning on visiting at least two of these places this year but some of these I may need to save up a little bit before I go there. So here are five places I want to visit. 1. Paris It has been my dream to visit Paris. I have only ever been to Disneyland Paris and I never got to be a tourist in Paris visiting all the hot spots. It is the city of love and I have already been doing my research on how I am going to get there and I feel like it will be possible this year. If I ever do go to Paris whether that is alone or with someone then I will be sure to blog my whole experience and share with you guys how I did it. 2.Harry Potter Studio Tour in London Being a Harry Potter fan, this is definitely on my bucket list. I would love to go to the Harry Potter Studio Tour just to say I have be

My Pamper Routine

Image
Sometimes we all need a bit of self-care in our lives because life can be stressful at times. It's always good to have a little pampering to not only take care of your skin but to make yourself feel better on the inside. I thought I would share my little paper routine which has helped me to feel better about myself. Let's get started. 1. Shower/Bath The perfect way to start a pamper routine is giving yourself a freshen up by having either a shower or a bath. Personally I prefer to have a shower because it is so much quicker plus I can easily wash my whole body and hair in one go. When I want to give my hair a full wash I like to go the extra mile by using a pre shampoo hair mask that only put on my scalp. I let it sit for five minutes and usually it hardens a bit during this time. Once five minutes is up, I'll get in the shower to wash it out before using the shampoo and conditioner. This is perfect if you have greasy hair (which I do) and I am always sati
