Happy Halloween

Image
Halloween happens once a year and whether you like it or not, you can still have a fun evening.  1. Movie Night Halloween is the perfect excuse to have a movie night and it can be as scary or tame as you want it to be. It's entirely up to you. My personal recommendations for someone who doesn't like horror movies: Hocus Pocus 1 & 2 Corpse Bride The Nightmare Before Christmas Sweeney Todd The Rocky Horror Picture Show Monster House Beetlejuice Literally any Tim Burton movie So grab some popcorn, set the mood by lighting some candles and it's the perfect excuse if you don't want any trick or treaters disturbing your night to switch all your lights off as that will really set the Halloween mood. 2. Carve a pumpkin It's fun to just get creative with a pumpkin. Whether you do it on your own or with family and friends, you may as well get in the Halloween mood by carving a pumpkin. There's so many different designs out there. Give it your best shot. 3. Pumpkin rec

Coffee Chat

Image
Hey readers, I was sitting at my desk in my comfy new office chair, trying to come up with ideas for blog posts. Then I thought why not just make myself a mug of coffee and just start typing away all my thoughts down into one post. This is going to be a very chilled out post that serves no purpose really but hopefully it will make an interesting read. I got my coffee ready so let's get typing. As you know, I turned twenty six this month and it's one of those ages where you're past the mid twenties point and getting closer to your thirties. I know it's still young in a lot of people's eyes but when you're still living at home with your mum and never having a boyfriend, it makes you wonder if you went wrong somewhere along the way. Like I know people my age who are getting married and having babies, yet I'm nowhere near that mark in life. Not that life is a race where you need to be at each milestone at a certain age. Life works differently for everyone where

More Dating Pet Peeves

Image
Here we are again with a second part of dating pet peeves. I didn't think it could be any worse than the first part but oh boy. Do I have some more pet peeves when it comes to online dating?  1. They say they want something long term but make zero effort to make it happen Here's the thing. If you're going into online dating not hoping to find your significant other then why are you online dating? Seriously, why. Just to have a bit of fun and mess around with someone's feelings. That's something that really grinds my gears about online dating but even more so is when they say they're hoping for something long term and in the beginning they give you hope. You're messaging and talking everyday. Arranging to meet for dates. Yet after a while the effort slowly slips and you find yourself putting more effort then they are. Whether it's you travelling to them but never the other way around. You suggest hanging out and meeting up. Suddenly you start to notice th

My University Advice

Image
As someone who has been to university twice and once during a global pandemic, it's safe to sayI have some university experience and as I have been there, I know full well the struggle it is to be a university student. That's why I thought I'd share my insight and advice to help any of you in university whether you're a fresher or in your final year or just thinking about going to university, this one's for you.  1. Be yourself I cannot stress this enough, but the beauty of university is you can be yourself. Trust me you're going to meet people from all over the country and possibly abroad too, just be yourself. Some people may have the same interests you do and you may meet your new best friend. Everyone can tell if you're trying to be someone you're not. You may as well embrace the person you are and eventually you'll find your people.  2. Attend your lectures A 9am lecture is quite possibly the worst feeling in the world. Especially if it's on

26 Things I've Learned In 26 Years

Image
Yesterday was my birthday and now I'm 26 years old. It's crazy to me that I am now closer to 30 years old than to 20 years old. I still feel like I'm still figuring out adulthood. Although in my 26 years in this world, I feel like I've learned a lot and maybe I can pass my wisdom onto you. Here are 26 things I've learned in 26 years. 1. You don't need to rush everything It may feel like you're falling behind in life especially if everyone around you is having babies or getting engaged while you've never had a long term relationship. Honestly, there's no rush at all. Everyone is going at their own place. I didn't even have my first kiss until I was twenty one and as you know if you've read my blog, I've never had a boyfriend. You may think you're falling behind in life but you're really not. There's no set time limits on what you should be doing by certain ages. Just go at your own pace and everything should fall into place at

How To Spend Your Birthday Alone

Image
As you get older, birthdays are not the same as they were when you're a child or teenager. Sometimes you'd be lucky to actually have anyone to spend your birthday with and even luckier is whether you actually have a day off from work on your birthday. However, if you're lucky enough to have a day off work on your birthday and you realise you're going to be spending it alone then I have some ideas you can do to make your birthday more special even though you're on your own. 1. Plan a day trip somewhere My best tip is to get out of the house because sometimes spending your birthday in your own home can make you feel like it's not really your birthday. Plan a trip to somewhere you'd like to visit or somewhere you've been to before. Whether it's somewhere with lots more shops than what your little town has or has lots of beautiful sights to see. Wherever you plan on going, make sure it's somewhere you'd enjoy. It doesn't have to be far away w

Why I Love October

Image
It's finally October and that means only three months left of 2022 which is kind of crazy. For me, October is definitely my favourite month of the year. Here's my reasons why: It's my birthday month I feel like everyone's favourite month is their birthday month. Although my birthday is four days into the month, it goes by pretty quickly for me. Although it's the perfect time to have a birthday because in the shops all the Xmas gift ideas are out so you have plenty of choice to treat yourself for your birthday. Halloween Once upon a time, Halloween didn't really bother me, but now it's something I enjoy whether it's watching scary movies, carving pumpkins, or just eating some Halloween treats. October is the perfect time to get into the Halloween mood.  The Weather I don't know about you, but I love the Autumn weather with the falling leaves and the rain showers. To me it's the cosiest weather. The perfect excuse to wrap up warm in jumpers and coa
