First Impressions

As you may have guessed, I have finally moved into my halls of residence ready to start studying my postgraduate degree. It feels kind of weird being here and I'm still not used to the fact that this is going to be my home for pretty much a year.

I really love my room. I have my own en-suite bathroom with a shower that is so nice. I also have a 3/4 bed and from spending 23 years sleeping in a single bed, that was the upgrade I never knew I needed plus it's all for me so there's so much space. My room is also very spacious and it doesn't feel too cramped in here. I'm currently the only person in my flat as I think some people are moving in on the weekend. Which is okay because I got first dibs on the kitchen cupboard and fridge shelf plus the freezer drawer. Although it does feel weird being alone in a flat. At least I have had a chance to sort my room out and make it look nice. I have already taken pictures so a room tour will be coming up soon.

I start my lectures on Tuesday. I think I have one face to face session then one online session plus my modules are being split up throughout the year due to social distancing measures which is fine by me. I do feel a little nervous right now although I'm not sure if it's nerves or anxiety. I don't know why, I guess I'm just kind of worried that nobody will like me or that I'll struggle. Although I'm keeping an open mind and I'm going to try to meet new people. Who knows what's going to happen this year. Maybe I'll meet some friends for life or even the man of my dreams and get the job I've always wanted. The possibilities are endless.

Anyway, that's all I have to say for now.

I'll be back again soon with another post for you.

See you then.
