Favourite Ficitional Characters

Image
Yesterday's post got me thinking about who my favourite fictional characters are. We all have fictional characters that bring us joy or make us even more curious when we read about them or see them in action. In fact it makes us wish there were whole stories about these characters. I thought I'd share five of my favourite fictional characters. I will warn you that three of them come from a particular fandom but I have my reasons. Anyway, let's get started. Hermione Granger The cleverest witch of her age. Honestly, Hermione is the greatest character in the Harry Potter series for many different reasons. One she is muggle born so she learned everything from scratch with no magical history. She's also key to helping the golden trio in every single book. Harry and Ron would be lost without Hermione. Even in the first book and getting past all the Philosopher's Stone protections, particularly the devil snare and the potion riddle. Then of course she helped Harry and Ron ...

Disney Live Action Remakes

Image
Once upon a time, we'd get a Disney remake once a year or even once every two years. Now though it seems like Disney is giving us multiple remakes in one year. I thought I'd share my thoughts on this as someone who loves a Disney movie as much as the next one. Don't worry, there will only be one spoiler about The Lion King but I will give you a warning to skip that paragraph if you don't want to hear it. Growing up in the late nineties and early 2000s Disney was a huge part of that. We had a whole collection of Disney VHS and I remember spending lots of time just watching a lot of the animated Disney movies. I loved them and it was a real comfort to me. My favourites were definitely Beauty and the Beast as well as Winnie the Pooh. The amount of times I rewatched these two in particular might have been concerning but I didn't care I was happy. Growing up, I was blissfully unaware of what a remake was. My first memory of a remake was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory ...

Makeup Bag

Image
I thought I'd go with an oldie but a goodie is what's in my makeup bag post. I think it's been a while since I last did one of these and my makeup products have changed ever so slightly since then. This is my everyday, go to makeup bag with products I use on either a daily or weekly basis. I did a makeup collection post back in November 2022 which I will leave a link to at the bottom of this post if you're curious to see more of my makeup products. For now though, let's see what's in my makeup bag.  This makeup bag I've had a few years now and it's from Primark but this one I got in Malaga back in 2017. I remember because me and my step mum were excited there was a Primark in Spain so we couldn't resist going there. I knew I couldn't leave without buying something so in the end I got this one. I really love this one and think it's so cute. Beauty and the Beast is my favourite Disney movie and this makeup bag has so much space. It's handy ...

Treat Yourself

Image
So yesterday I bought myself some roses for myself because they're my favourite flowers and I thought why not, it's Valentine's Day and nobody else has ever bought me flowers. I know it may seem like it's a sad thing to do but why should it be sad to buy yourself flowers when you know nobody else is going to. I enjoy buying flowers for myself especially roses because they look so pretty, and it feels good. Plus it's a mystery to other people when you're buying them in the shop especially on Valentine's because for all they know it's for a special someone, but you know full well it's for yourself and I feel it shouldn't be a crime to treat yourself especially on Valentine's Day because it is the day of love and there is no better love than self-love.  I even treated myself to a bottle of wine and ice cream because why not plus I had steak with my mum for dinner so really it was a nice day overall. I know I said yesterday I felt full of self-pi...

July Favourites

Image
I can't believe it is the end of July already. I feel like it's gone by so quickly. Anyway, it's tradition if you managed to discover new things each month to make a favourites post so that's what I'm doing today. My favourites consist of books, beauty, films and random. Anyway let's get on with this post. Starting with books. I've been reading a lot this month and the first book I'm going to talk about is On The Other Side. I recently made a post all about this book let me just tell you that I loved every minute of it and it is one I definitely would read again. It's so good. Carrie Hope Fletcher is an expert in my opinion when it comes to books and the fact she's written a fiction book makes me so happy. I loved her All I Know book which was kind of like a self help book but this one is just amazing and I really do recommend it to any of you. Now I don't have any other books to talk about as the only other book I've read this mon...

The Disney Tag!

Image
Hey guys! Now, I know I'm eighteen year old girl but I love Disney. I grew up watching Disney movies and sometimes if there's a Disney film on Netflix I will watch it. Anyway, as I love Disney I thought I will do the Disney tag so let's get started. 1. Who is your favorite Disney princess? When I was a little girl, I always loved Belle from Beauty and the Beast. I don't know why, but I just always used to want to be like her. I still like her because she is a bookworm like me. 2. Who's your favorite prince? I will have to say Prince Eric from the Little Mermaid because I think he's the most good looking one out of all of them. 3. Who are your favorite couple?  Probably Belle and the beast in his human form. I just think they're good together. 4. Who is your least favorite princess? I never really liked Cinderella. I would watch the film but I was never really keen on her. Don't know why. 5. What is your favorite dress/outf...
