Packing For The Weekend

Going away for the whole weekend is always exciting and that’s exactly what I’m doing this weekend as you’re reading this post. The one thing I always struggle with is how much to pack so I thought I’d share my packing process on how to pack for a weekend away.

Let’s get started.

Organise your clothes
Figure out what you’re going to wear. Are you going to be going out somewhere for a meal? Are you going to be mainly chilling and watching movies? It’s good to be prepared but it’s also good to be realistic. Pack what you know you’ll definitely wear but also it’s good to pack a nice top just in case you do go for a meal and it’s nice to pack something like leggings if you know you will have a chance to relax. Also don’t forget pyjamas and your underwear.

Toiletries
I’m someone that always has a toiletry bag ready to go because sometimes you never know when you need to go somewhere. Also recently as I’ve been going away a lot to visit my special someone, I’m constantly packing an overnight bag so it makes it easier when it’s ready to go. I make sure I have toothbrush, tooth paste and deodorant are the main things because everything else is a bonus. Just keep it very minimal and only take what you know you’ll definitely wear will use everyday.

Bag/suitacse
The inevitable question whether to take a bag or a suitcase. It varies depending on how much you take and how much you can fit in. Honestly it’s entirely up to you because it is whatever you prefer. I’m taking an overnight bag mainly because where I’m staying there’s not much space for a suitcase whereas if I was staying in a hotel for a weekend, I’d take my suitcase.

Everyday bag
Finally, it’s good to make sure you got your everyday bag sorted with things like your purse, phone, earphones and chargers. Once that’s all packed then honestly you’re good to go.

There we have it, that’s my process for packing for a weekend away. Let me know if you have any packing tips because I always loving hearing about other peoples packing tips.

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and I’ll be back tomorrow with another post.

See you then.
