TBR
As I've been into reading over August, I thought I'd share my to be read pile with you and all the books I'm excited to read this month. Let's get started.
None Of This Is True By Lisa Jewell
I'm so excited to read this book because I've previously read two of Lisa Jewell's books which were Watching You and Don't Let Him In. Honestly, I loved them both as they had such great twists and turns. Honestly, I couldn't put them down when I was reading them. I got this book as I wanted to read more and I've heard a lot of positive things about this one. It follows the story of a Podcaster who has a subject who wants her story to be told in the podcast. Soon the more the podcast goes deep into the subject life, the darker it becomes. I'm excited because I also have the audiobook. I'm a weirdo who likes to listen to audiobooks while reading. I heard having the audiobook is great because it has the audio track like a podcast during the podcast scenes. I honestly can't wait to start reading this book because I have a feeling I'm going to enjoy it.
The Pumpkin Spice Cafe by Laurie Gilmore
I've been meaning to read this book for the longest time and I know there are so many books in this series now. I'm not even sure if they're all connected or standalone. Either way I'm excited to read this mainly because the cover is giving major autumn vibes which makes it the perfect read this time of year. I'm excited because this book seems like a cosy, romantic, feel good read so I'm excited to read. I don't actually know what it's about other than someone is given a Pumpkin Spice Cafe to run and that's it. Either way the cover is enticing me to read and I'm looking forward to reading it.
Flip by Briana Michaels
I bought this book a while ago. I actually bought it alongside the first book Glitch which I read a while ago. I bought these two books because it was recommended on TikTok as a spicy read and I fancied reading something spicy. I enjoyed the first book because it was about two gamers who connect but also have a spicy connection. Definitely a lot of spice. I actually don't know what this one is about. I know the books are stand alone I think but I'm also not sure if the stories are interconnected in some way. This book is about a man who loves his best friend's sister which is already a little complicated but who doesn't love a forbidden love story. Either way I'm sure this book will have a lot of spice to it like the first one and I'm excited to get a chance.
Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespear
I bought this copy of this book a while ago because I realised I don't own any of Shakespeare's works but also I love the cover of this. I actually read this in English GCSE years ago now but I have never read it since. This is a classic love story that everyone refers to, although the reality is it's not the wonderful romance that everyone says it is. It's that young, sweet, honeymoon stage love that honestly is a great feeling and makes you think that nothing else matters. Well, it does especially when your love is forbidden as your part of two feuding households. It's a story that many know and love but honestly I'm excited to reread it again after all these years. Plus the book itself is a beautiful cover.
There we have it, that's all the books in my TBR pile for this month. I'm looking forward to reading these books. Let me know what's on your TBR pile for this month. I'd love to hear all your recommendations.
Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and I'll be back tomorrow with another post.
See you then.
