Monday Motivation

It's Monday Morning and I thought I'd give you a little motivation for today so you can use it to get through Monday and also the rest of this week. Let's get started.

Find the silver linings
Not going to lie, Monday is usually the worst day of the week for most. It's just been the weekend and now we have to get back to reality whether that's work or school. Monday's do suck. Sometimes with Monday if your expectations are already low then anything good that happens that day will not only be a surprise but also make your Monday slightly better. Not every Monday is bad but most Monday's are so sometimes you do have to find the silver linings in the little positive moments you have on a Monday. Why not make an exciting lunch to have that day? I always get excited for lunch time at work if I've made a nice lunch to have that day. Already that boosts my mood. Why not treat yourself even more and go out extra earlier just to get some coffee from your favourite coffee place? Sometimes you need to create those little silver linings to make your Monday better.

Reward yourself at the end of the day
Why not make plans for finishing your working day? Go hang out with your friends or significant other. Go out for a nice meal or order in a cheeky takeaway. Better yet why not do something you enjoy like playing on your favourite video game or watching your favourite movie/show. Sometimes knowing there's a reward at the end of something you don't want to do can make the day go faster and also get you excited once you're finished with your day.

Don't put pressure on yourself
Sometimes we put pressure on ourselves to make sure everything is running smoothly, especially at work. It's a fact though that some things will go wrong. It's inevitable that things happen that are out of our control. Sometimes though you will make the odd mistake, it happens. Something happened to me at work where I thought I made a mistake and it made me not have a very good night sleep as I was dreading the next working day. Yet the minute I got to work, I told somebody and instantly the mistake was looked into then resolved. Suddenly I don't know why I was worrying about it. I do realise I am a perfectionist and I hate when something goes wrong so I do everything I can to try and make it right. That's putting pressure on myself because I start overthinking and panicking which are not good feelings to have. That's why it's good not to put pressure on yourself and it also leads me to my next tip.

Talk to someone
Don't bottle up how you're feeling. If you're feeling overwhelmed, anxious, worried or even couldn't sleep the night before because you were dreading work the next day. Talk to someone because nobody, especially in work, wants anyone to feel like that so if you're open about what's on your mind then it takes a weight off your shoulders and sometimes telling someone adds a fresh pair of eyes. Maybe even come up with something that you might not have even thought of to resolve your issues. Just know you are not alone and if you're struggling then talk to someone because it will really help in the long run.

You will get through it
Honestly, Monday is just a day of the week. It's the start of the week for most of us but it's just one day. Just because you have a bad day on Monday, doesn't mean the rest of the week will be bad. It's the same if you have a good day on a Monday, doesn't mean the rest of the week will be good. Yet if you make little changes like finding silver linings, opening up to people and not putting pressure on yourself then your Monday's will start to look a little better. Plus you will get through it because tomorrow is only a day away.

There we have it, that is my Monday motivation for you. Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and I wish you all a lovely Monday. I'll be back tomorrow with another post.

See you then.
