Not Perfect

Image
I’m not perfect and one of the reasons why is I missed a day or two of posting. Not going to lie, I was slightly busy with work that I completely forgot to check everything was on track and I forgot to schedule one or two posts. It will happen where I may miss a day or two but I will make it up to you with even more posts as my goal is 30 posts this month at least so maybe when I miss a day, you may get double posts on some days.  Either way, I hope you can forgive me if you were checking back on my blog for a new post these past couple of days and nothing was there. Life got so busy that I forgot to update my blog. Luckily I have posted all the posts now so that we’re back on track for 30 posts this month and yes I’m including this post as it is still a blog post. It’s not a perfect blog post but as I mentioned before I’m not perfect. It still counts as I’m giving you an update on the lack of posts but I’m also letting you know that everything will soon be back on track again from...

June

Image
We're now in the sixth month of the year and as you're reading this I'm currently on holiday in Majorca. I've obviously written this post in advance so I can really tell you how my holiday is going but let's just say I am very much enjoying the relaxing break.  As you know, May I had a bit of a creative block with this but recently, my motivation has come back to blogging which is why there have been several posts this week. Mainly to make up for my absence last month. I have a few posts planned for this month which I'm excited about sharing with you. I've actually taken my notebook that I'm working on my novel on holiday with me so expect another writing update this month. I'm also going to share how my holiday went, do a little summary or photo journal of how it all went down so look forward to that. I'm feeling very positive about this blog and in my absence I have noticed an increase in page views that I have never seen before. In May, I had ...

Creative Block

Image
Hi, it's been a while since I've last written here and there is a reason for that. I've had a creative block. It's a real struggle because I've been meaning to get back into blogging for a while now as I knew we're getting towards the end of May and I've only made one post this month. Last month I was supposed to post everyday for a month but that's when the creative block hit and I didn't really know what to write about. It's ironic because I even made a post about how to beat creative blocks. Little did I know it was going to hit me hard. That's why I'm here now because I felt like I owed it to you, my fellow readers, to explain where I've been and why I haven't posted. Another thing that got in the way was work had been very busy and after work or on my days off I didn't feel like writing a post. I've also been working on writing my novel which has been occupying my time quite a bit. I think I was focusing on writing my...

Why I Love Spring?

Image
Spring time is definitely here and I love this time of year because the sun is shining but the weather is still a bit cooler. The perfect weather for me. I thought for today's post I'd share all the reasons why I love Spring and you can let me know in the comments if you agree or if there's anything else that I've not mentioned. Maybe even the opposite, you dislike Spring or hate it with a passion. Either way, I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts in the comments below.  Without further ado, here's all the reasons why I love Spring. The Weather I already mentioned the weather but it is an integral part of Spring. The weather is getting nicer, gone are the colder days. We're switching up our coats to lighter coats as it's not quite hot that we have to ditch them but it's not that cold that you need a thick coat. It's just the right temperature. Even now as I look out my window I can see sunny weather and blue skies which is just a nice sight to...

March

Image
The third month of the year is finally here as the way it goes with January feeling like it will never end to February flying by in a flash. I do like when March comes around because for me it's the start of Spring. The days feel longer when the clocks go forward and the evenings are getting lighter again. I do enjoy the weather also because it's not quite hot but it's not cold either. It's just right in a way. It reminds me of the weather in Autumn. I think Spring has to be my second favourite season after Autumn.  I don't have much planned for this month although recently I've been going out for long walks and doing a lot of writing which I'm hoping to continue as the weather gets nicer. I do hope this month will be a productive month for me in terms of my writing as well as my blog. I do have a few posts planned for this month which I'm very excited to share with you. I might do a photo a day in March and share my photos in a photo journal at the end ...

Day 31 Goodbye

Image
Today's photo is goodbye. I'd thought I'd end the photo challenge with a selfie and my usual pose of a peace sign because I don't know how to pose in photos. The reason why is it's the final day of my August photo challenge. I can't believe it's finally the end of August. It seemed to go both really slowly but also really quickly. Things I did at the beginning of the month feel like they were months ago but two weeks ago feels only like last week. I think because so much happens in the Summer month that before you know it, it's gone. One thing I don't miss is that feeling of knowing I have School at the beginning of September. I do not miss those days one bit. I do miss that feeling of going to university though and preparing for that. I guess it's slightly different because I was actually doing a course I liked but also having the opportunity to live on my own. I think I'd love to relive my university days, although I'd do some things sl...

Day 13 Art

Image
For day thirteen, it's art and this is my art. Recently I've been loving doing scrapbooking. It's so therapeutic to do. I especially love watching the videos on YouTube of people scrapbooking and creating their pages. This one I was particularly proud of because I tried something new and was inspired by a video I watched. Honestly, scrapbooking is a great hobby to do especially if you're someone who is creative. I have two scrapbooks I've filled up and love going through them and seeing what I've created.  The beauty of scrapbooking is there's no rules. You can scrapbook however you like. You could follow a certain theme or just pick out things that go together. I get all my supplies from either Amazon or the Works. It just shows that anyone can scrapbook really and it doesn't matter if it doesn't look the best because you don't have to show anyone. Within time though you'll eventually improve and be proud of how far you've come. You'...

Day 2 Sunglasses

Image
The second photo of my August Photo Challenge is Sunglasses and these are my sunglasses. The top summer essential is a pair of sunglasses unless you live in the UK and have a rare day where you get to wear sunglasses. Either way, it's always good to have a pair in your bag just in case. These ones I got from Boohoo and I believe were around £7. I was after a specific style as I really like big sunglasses mainly because it protects my eyes from the sun and I just need glasses that cover the whole of my eyes.  I really love these ones and they actually suit my face really well. Sometimes it's trial and error when it comes to sunglasses. I got lucky with these ones, I also bought another pair which have the cat eye style but I prefer these ones. Let me know what kind of style of sunglasses you prefer in the comments below, I would love to hear it. The one thing about Summer is that you should always invest in a good pair of sunglasses and most importantly buy a case for them. I...

Day 1 Passport

Image
The first photo of my August Photo Challenge is Passport so this is my passport. I had to get a new passport recently as I went to Dublin in March and they said my passport expired in July 2024 even though the expiry date was April 2025. Apparently there's a new Brexit rule where passports are only valid for ten years so check to see when your passport was issued and if it's more than ten years then you most likely need a new passport. It's such a silly rule because everything goes by expiry dates so why not passports. Luckily when I reordered my passport it only took a week to process, I didn't even pay extra. I just put my old passport in an envelope and posted it in the post box. It got back to them fine and got back to me fine as well.  I think I prefer the old burgundy coloured passports because they were such a classic colour. Now these passports just look like every other country's passport. I think every country should have a unique coloured passport and I k...

May Favourites

Image
It's the end of May and you know what that means. It's time for a monthly favourite post. Let's get into it. Hell's Kitchen I found myself trying to find something to watch as I do like to watch series from time to time. I decided to go back to Hell's Kitchen as I haven't watched any of the latest series of it. I started with Season 21 which I think I started watching before but never got around to actually finishing it as some of the episodes I felt I had seen before. Either way I still enjoy it because I love watching what they make, even during the first episode during the signature challenge, one of the chefs used boxed pasta and a jar of sauce which even I know is a big no in front of Gordon Ramsay. Plus I just like Gordon Ramsay shouting away with his famous insults. Although I did find him to be a bit tame compared to what he used to be in previous seasons, it was still fun either way. I started watching Season 22 and I know this is definitely a series I ...

Blogging In 2024?

Image
Is blogging still relevant in 2024? I think so. I think there's no rules to blogging no matter what year it is. It's a form of creativity to express yourself. Your blog, your rules. I can also tell you from the amount of page views I get on a monthly basis that it is still relevant. People are still reading blog posts all over the world. I have people reading my blogs from the UK, United States, Hong Kong, Germany, France and more countries. It's crazy how far my little blog can go around the world. Honestly, if you love writing and blogging then it will all work out for you in the end.  Should you start a blog in 2024? Yes, you still can. If you're passionate about something and want to write about it then do it. The important thing is going into blogging for these reasons. Don't go into thinking you'll be a famous blogger and get all the sponsorships because then you're doing blogging for the wrong reasons. I blog because I really enjoyed writing down all ...
