I know a lot of you reading this may currently be in school or university so very soon you'll have exams and assignment deadlines coming up. Now rather than studying for them, you're searching up ways on how to study. Well, I'd thought I'd help you out by sharing my tips on how I studied when I was in school and university. Let's get started. 1. Find what works for you Remember everyone is unique. We all pick up information and learn things differently. Some people are more visual whereas some prefer writing everything down. Some even prefer to listen to things through audio. Try different methods before you start to see which one works best for you. You might prefer, writing everything down or typing it out. You might prefer just reading and highlighting the information. You might prefer seeing it visually through images or diagrams. You might prefer listening to podcasts, lectures, and videos. It's always good to know what works for you because everyone is dif...

As someone who has finished school and done university twice, I know how stressful it can be to revise for exams and do assignments. You may think February is too early to start studying but honestly the sooner the better. I thought I'd share my tips for getting through studying and writing assignments. Write a list of all your deadlines in order I know that may seem daunting but it's really important to have a visual of when all your deadlines are and when they're due. It will make you realise how much time you have to do each one. Plus when you finish that particular assignment it's satisfying to cross them off. Making a list of your deadlines just helps to prioritise which assignments you need to focus on.  Start finding references early The hardest part of assignments is finding the references to back the points you make. It may be a struggle to find some, but you do have access to the resources at your fingertips. Lectures tend to have their lecture slides availabl...

During my week of university related posts, I thought it would only seem fitting to make a study tips post as you will be doing a lot of studying. This can also be related to school, college, university or if you're feeling productive. These tips can help you with your studying. 1. To Do Lists To do lists are a great way to organise yourself. They don't have to be huge lists but if you have around four or five things on there then you can get it done. A good tip is to start with the task you least want to do so that way you can get that done first then the rest will be easier for you. It's also very satisfying to cross things off your to do list once you've done which can be a motivation in itself. 2. Find a good work space that works for you One thing I can strongly recommend is do not work on your bed. I know it's comfy and very tempting but honestly you won't work that well sitting in bed. As it's the place you sleep and relax on then your mind wi...

It has been a while since I've had to do any studying but I know April is the time where some assignments are due and exams are slowly coming up. I thought I'd share with you some study tips that help me get through exams and writing assignments in university. Of course these tips can be applied for school as well. 1. Start early, finish early Sometimes it's best to just get your studying or assignments done early. The earlier you can do it then the sooner you can finish. Whenever you get your assignment then it's best to make a start of it as soon as you can. Whether it's just doing some research or making a plan or taking out the relevant books you need for it. Then get it done as soon as you can. The last thing you need is the stress of leaving it last minute. At least make a start at it and then you will know what you are doing for it. 2. Do it in the morning I find studying and doing assignments in the morning is so useful. Mostly because when you fin...

University Study Tips!

Hey guys! Long time no post! I feel like I say that a lot on this blog but sometimes it happens. However, I'm still here and I have been busy with just life and uni work as this is my last month of second year and the pressure to get things done is one. As I've been studying and doing assignments that I'd share with you my study tips which I have learnt over this period of time which might be helpful to some of you guys. Treat your uni work as a nine to five job This has probably been one of the best tips I've ever been given by someone. If you spend around six to eight hours a day doing your work then you'll get it done in no time. You can do this five days a week and have weekends off to do whatever you like. Just get yourself in a routine where you wake up early in the morning get ready for the day, eat breakfast then crack on with some work. If you do this everyday you'll feel more productive and your body clock will get used to the idea to wake u...

As it is exam time and I do have an exam coming up on Friday, I thought I'd share with you some study tips I have learned and have really helped me with revision. 1. Give yourself enough time to revise Do not leave it to the day before. That won't help. You may think it'll help because you have a really bad memory and revising the day before will help you remember. Just trust me it won't help because you will be stressed out and panicking a lot. Believe I know. I've been there and I've done it. Believe or not though if you revise for a week, come to the exam, I can guarantee something which you went over during your revision time will pop up in your head. Just do a lot of revision and you will pass. I promise you. 2. Find a good working space I've said this in many posts in the past about studying but please do not study on your bed. I know its comfy but you will not be productive and you'll feel tired and lazy. Your body will think you...

Hey guys! So, exam season is slowly approaching and now it's the time to think about revising for your exams. Now the first thing I usually do before I start revising is look up study tips and tricks online to get inspiration and a little bit of motivation to start revising. I've learned a few tips on studying while I did this which I'll tell you now. Make a plan - This is probably the most essential thing you need to do. Plan out your revision. I have list of the days of the week and I put a subject underneath it so I know what subject I should revise each day. Stick your plan above your desk so that when you're sitting at your desk, you can just look up and know what you need to revise. Find a suitable place to study -  Now, I know some of you probably like to study on your bed and I know it's comfortable but it's not a good place to study. The reason being, you sleep on your bed normally and your body knows that when you're lying or sitting on...
