Something New!

Bet you didn't think after posting everyday in April that I'd be back on the first day of May with another post.

Well here I am blogging for you guys and this is actually something very different that I'm going to be talking about and I decided to actually talk about on my blog because it's a journey that I'm going on which involves me making some big changes.

It's something new.

Now one thing I don't really talk about is my weight. As you know I don't post any photos of myself because I am a very insecure person. You can see from my Instagram that I don't have a lot of selfies or body shots. That's cause I take a photo of myself and will take about ten or more to get a good shot. Sometimes I'm lucky and sometimes I'm not. That's because I have a lot of insecurities that I don't really talk about on here so here goes.

I'm overweight and have been for a while. I'm a size 16 (UK size).  I do try and go on diets plus eat a bit healthier but it's a struggle sometimes. I do get a lot of down days about my weight but I also get a lot of days where I don't give a sh**. I'm a relatively happy person but I know deep down I'm unhappy with how I look. The biggest thing I've learned is that losing weight doesn't just happen and the only way you can lose weight is doing it yourself.

So I had a little sit down with myself in April and decided on what exactly am I going to do. I knew one thing though that on the first day of May I was going to beginning this journey of making a change to my life.

I've made a plan and I am going to stick to it for the entire month of May. It's going to be a struggle but as Miley Cyrus says "Life's a climb".

So here is my plan for you guys and I'm going to make updates every step of the way.

1. Drink the recommended amount of a water a day (eight cups) - I have one of those bottles that has the labels on them with the recommended amount.

2. Go on the exercise bike for half an hour everyday - I feel like I need a bit of exercise in my life so I'm going to not over exert myself but I feel like if I go on my exercise bike for half an hour everyday then that will help me.

3. Big Breakfast. Medium Lunch. Small dinner. - I've always seen on the healthy eating programmes that you should have a big breakfast then your portion size needs to get smaller and smaller as the day goes on as you burn more energy in the mornings than you do in the evenings.

4. Make healthier choices - It's simple as really. Just choose healthy options. I've created a healthy shopping list which I'm going to stick to all month and make healthier choices when it comes to food.

I don't want to change my ways entirely because I've tried many times to go on diets and lose weight but I struggle and eventually fail so I don't want to go extreme but I want to do something that I can be able to manage.

Hopefully, this will help me feel more confident in myself and I'll feel happier if I'm healthy.

Anyway, thanks for reading this post. I hope you're excited for my little journey and I'll be sure to update my process as I go along. I just kind of thought why not start in May and be more healthier.

Let me know if you have any tips for being healthier in the comments below. I would love to hear them.

I'll be back again soon with another post for you.

See you then.
