Summer Or Winter

Every year, the same debate is on and in the UK, the most common topic of conversation is the weather. We are always never fully satisfied with the weather. Whether it's sunny, snowing or raining. Nothing is ever quite right for us. When it's hot, we complain. When it's cold, we complain. When it's raining, we're used to it, but we still complain.

For me, though I've figured out what I prefer. I'm someone that prefers the autumn and wintertime because I find it's so much easier to get yourself warmer than when it's hot in the Spring and Summer time, it's harder to get cooler. I also don't mind the rain. As long as you have a good raincoat then you're good to go. Umbrellas are never good unless it's a really good quality one otherwise guaranteed to be blown inside out and break. The rain is also nice when it's your day off and you're sitting at home because it's nice to just hear it patter again the window but also when it's pouring then it makes you glad, you're not in it. The snow is the same but again I don't mind because I'd rather be cold and warm myself up by putting on hoodies, blankets, and duvets over me. Grabbing a hot water bottle. With the summer, the struggle is real to get cooler. Unless you have a paddling pool in your garden then it's a struggle. You find yourself wearing barely any clothes in the house, wasting electricity on fans, opening the window but come to find it's just hot air. That's why I prefer the wintertime over the summer. I know it's nice for a while and I'm sure when I'm on holiday, I'll be glad it's summer, but I always look forward to when Autumn comes around because I know I will be happy with the weather whatever it may be and won't feel like jumping in an ice cold bath to cool myself down. Also, I think because my wardrobe has a lot of jumpers in it, I'm always excited for the day I can wear them again because zero effort is required when you get to wear a jumper.

Anyway, that's all I have to say for now. Let me know if you're a summer or winter person. I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.

Thank you for reading my blog and I'll be back again soon with another post.

See you then.
