Day 5 Beach

Image
This is the fifth photo of my photo challenge at the beach. This photo I took a couple of weekends ago when me and my mum took a trip to Llandudno in North Wales. It's a lovely place to go as it has a long seafront plus a proper sandy beach. It also has a long pier that you can walk down where there are little independent shops in these huts. It's a really lovely place to go during the Summer. We stayed in a hotel right on the seafront and for the first time ever had a sea view. It was lovely.  Honestly, who doesn't love going to the beach during the Summer? Granted we didn't go all out with the sunbathing on the sand but it was nice to walk along the seafront. We even sat on a bench and watched a Punch and Judy show. It's nice to know the show hasn't changed a bit since I watched it when I was younger. It did bring back memories though because I remember the crocodile and the baby plus a policeman as well as Punch just beating every character. It's a remind...

5 Things I Love About Spring

Image
Spring is in the air and I'm so excited for it. I'd say Spring is my second favourite season because it's not too hot but it's also not too cold. It's weather that's just right for me. Now that the season of Spring is here, I thought I'd share five things I love about Spring with you guys. Let's get started. 1. Easter Who doesn't love getting chocolate easter eggs. It's always exciting, although I sometimes treat myself to a mini Easter egg early because I just love the taste of it. Is it me or does chocolate taste better when it's in an egg form. I love it. This Easter is actually exciting for me because it's a bank holiday and I'm going to be spending it in Dublin for the first time. I've never been to Ireland before so I'm really excited for this. I can't wait. This Easter is going to be great. Let me know what your plans for this Easter weekend are in the comments below. I would love to hear it. 2. Longer days Very soo...

Cyprus

Image
Our first day was like any other first day of a holiday, head to the breakfast buffet first thing then go for a walk to have a little nose around before deciding it’s too hot and you’d rather relax by the pool. Although supplies needed to be stocked and luckily the hotels had a supermarket on site so that was pretty straightforward. With water and lays crisps stocked up we headed for the pool. It was so nice when it’s so hot to have the first dip in the cold pool. Nothing beats the feeling of being on holiday. Although after a morning at the pool we had an afternoon having a shower then enjoying some lays crisps and an afternoon nap.  We were half board so we had dinner then afterwards we decided to enjoy the overpriced drinks and watch the evening entertainment. Aside from the usual kids disco, they had bingo so I decided to play thinking I doubt I’ll win and the winnings was €165 which would be nice either way I started crossing off my numbers. Now I was down to very few numbers ...

Summer Bucket List

Image
Who doesn't love a bucket list and what better way to kick off your summer than with a bucket list of things to do? I thought I'd compile a list of all the exciting things you could do this summer. Feel free to save this post on pinterest or take things from this list that you'd like to do. Of course you don't have to do everything on this list as I probably won't be able to do it but it's just a fun little thing to have so whenever the boredom kicks in, you can take something from this list and do it. Here we go! 1. Have a BBQ 2. Go to the beach  3. Go to a festival//concert/outdoor event  4. Have a getaway 5. Read a book 6. Have a movie day 7. Go for a walk somewhere new 8. Have a pamper party alone or with friends 9. Create a feel good summer playlist 10. Start a blog 11. Plan a day trip 12. Learn a new skill e.g. Cooking, sewing, painting etc. 13. Do a jigsaw puzzle 14. Go for a swim in the sea or in a pool 15. Sort out your wardrobe so it's Summer ready...

What's In My Carry On?

Image
Tomorrow, I'm off on holiday to Majorca. I'm so excited because I haven't been abroad since 2019 and I honestly can't wait. It's just nice to also have some time off work and just chill out. I went to Majorca when I was three years old and celebrated my fourth birthday while we were out there. This will be my second time back there and we're even going to an aquarium that I went to the first time. Anyway, I thought I'd share what I'm bringing in my carry on because sometimes it feels like when you're packing that you're going to forget something. I thought this will be handy for any of you travelling in the future for some ideas on what to bring in your carry on. The one thing I like to have for my carry on is backpack because it's just easy to have on your back and you'll have free hands to drag your suitcase and hold your tickets. Plus if you have a big enough bag, you can surprisingly fit a lot in it.  Anyway without further ado, let...

Summer Or Winter

Image
Every year, the same debate is on and in the UK, the most common topic of conversation is the weather. We are always never fully satisfied with the weather. Whether it's sunny, snowing or raining. Nothing is ever quite right for us. When it's hot, we complain. When it's cold, we complain. When it's raining, we're used to it, but we still complain.  For me, though I've figured out what I prefer. I'm someone that prefers the autumn and wintertime because I find it's so much easier to get yourself warmer than when it's hot in the Spring and Summer time, it's harder to get cooler. I also don't mind the rain. As long as you have a good raincoat then you're good to go. Umbrellas are never good unless it's a really good quality one otherwise guaranteed to be blown inside out and break. The rain is also nice when it's your day off and you're sitting at home because it's nice to just hear it patter again the window but also when it...

Enjoying The Little Things

Image
Life is still a little confusing. We don't know what we're meant to do right or wrong. Rules are all over the place and if you live in a rural town then tourists are everywhere. Which is okay but it can make social distancing a little bit more difficult. The other day, I took a trip to town in the morning with my mum who had to take her car in for service and had an eye appointment. I decided I'd come with her to keep her company plus get out of the house for a bit. It was quite nice because when she went for her eye appointment, I did a bit of shopping before walking up to my local castle. There were a few people there when I got there but I managed to find a free bench which was out of the way but also had a nice view. It felt nice because it was a sunny day, I remembered to bring my hat with me as I have a very sensitive head that doesn't like the sun. So I just sat there enjoying the view of the sea and reading my book. It just made me realise that it's ...

Beach Day

Image
Yesterday me and mum decided to spontaneously go to the beach. We were out doing our grocery shop in Tesco and decided to have a picnic on the beach. I bought us some new beach towels and we bought things to make sandwiches and have little nibbles. I also decided to buy a bucket and spade because its been years since I made sand castles at the beach and I just thought why not. So yeah we packed up a picnic basket and our towels, got dressed in our shorts and tops. Then headed for the beach. I decided to take my camera and take pictures of my trip so here's a few pictures of my beach day. It was a beautiful day yesterday to go on the beach. Who knew so much joy a bucket and spade could bring. Also the perfect time to collect some pretty sea shells. Going to the beach is the perfect time for some reading. I'm currently reading Bridget Jones Diary. It amazes me that jellyfish can look so pretty but can be so deadly with their sting. ...
