Summer Reading List

Summer is honestly the perfect time for reading. The weather is nicer, so you have more opportunities to read outside whether it's on the beach, holiday etc. I thought I'd share my reading list of five books I plan on reading this summer which have been on my to be reading list for a while.
So let's get started.

I Heart London by Lindsey Kelk
I've been getting my way slowly through the I heart series so it's no surprise that this is on my Summer reading list. I'm currently reading I Heart Vegas as I'm writing this post and I'm excited because I really enjoyed the previous book. I get a sense knowing the title of the next book that I know where the story of Angela Clark is heading considering the ending of the last book but I'm very much excited as this story is definitely a feel good romantic comedy in a book. Of course I should include the rest of the series on this list as I'm planning on reading them too, but I didn't want to fill this reading list with the books by the same author and I do have some other books on my bookshelf that I've been meaning to read.

Just Like You by Nick Hornby
I actually mentioned this book previously in my February reading list but as you can probably tell, I haven't gotten around to reading it yet. Although this is definitely one of the books, I want to read this summer because it's an author I've never read before, and I want to expand authors I've read, and this just sounds like my kind of book. It reminded me of Love Your Life by Sophie Kinsella where two people fall for one another on a retreat then when they get back to reality, they find out they're complete opposites with how they live their life, but they try to make it work. This book feels the same where two opposites meet, and I obviously don't know where this story is heading but I'm excited to get around to reading it this summer.

The Road Trip by Beth O'Leary
This a book I'm excited to read because I've read her previous novels The Flatshare and The Switch which I really enjoyed. I knew I had to get this book. I love her writing style because usually with multiple character points of view in a story can get quite confusing, but Beth has this way of making it work. This story is also interesting because the characters are on the same road trip so this time, I think we'll be getting to see the same scenes play out through different characters eye. It's going to be interesting, and I can't wait to read this.

Remember Me? By Sophie Kinsella
This is a book that has been on my long list of books I wanted since I began reading Sophie Kinsella books. Yet one trip to Waterstones and I found this book, so I knew I had to get it. This book is about Lexi waking up thinking she's twenty five but learns it's eight years later and her live is completely different. I have a feeling we're going to go into details on remembering the past three years of her life. I love these kind of stories because you're following the characters journey into how they got to where they are now and it's almost always satisfying when we find out what really happened. I love Sophie Kinsella's books as you know if you've been reading my blog but honestly, she's a great writer and I'm excited to read this one.

P.S. I Still Love You by Jenny Han
This is another book that has been sitting on my reading list for quite some time. I read the first one after the first Netflix film and I loved it. I don't know why I didn't keep reading because I bought the next two books straight after. I think other books got in the way and I kept telling myself I will get to it, but I didn't. This summer though I plan to finally read the final two books of this trilogy. Granted I know what happens because I've seen all the Netflix films but as I'm fully aware the books always add something more to the story. Therefore, I do plan on finally reading this and I'm excited to read them. These are definitely feel good books and I know a lot of contemporary romance book lovers love this trilogy so I feel I should read this series this summer.

There we have it. Those are all the books in my summer reading list. Let me know what book you're most excited to read this summer. I would love to hear your book recommendations in the comments below.

Thank you for reading my blog and I'll be back again soon with another post.

See you then.
