Day 23 Game

Image
For today's photo of the day, I decided to go with a game that I recently got from Ebay. I have fond memories of playing this game with my brother and was reminded of it when I saw the Olympics so I decided to find it on Ebay and luckily it was there. Playing it again brought all the memories back and I realised that this isn't the easiest game in the world to play, especially the sprinting and swimming challenges as it involves a lot of button pushing but it's good fun trying to get a good score. I've struggled to reach first place but I still enjoy myself whenever I play this game. I can't wait until my brother comes to visit so he can replay it too. I love replaying games that I used to play when I was a child and a teenager because it brings back all the nostalgia especially when it's a good game. too. This is definitely a game I've been enjoying a lot this month. Anyway, that's all I have to say. I can't wait to see your game photos for the phot...

Day 19 Holiday

Image
For today's photo of the day, we're doing a throwback to my favourite childhood holiday. Honestly, Walt Disney World in Florida was the best holiday I went on. I still have memories of it and a whole load of photos to look back on. It was one of the last family holidays I went on with my mum, dad and brother so it holds a lot of memories for me. This was actually taken when we're at a shop and trying on a load of different hats. Obviously, I didn't buy any as they were super expensive but it was fun all the same. I was eight years old when I went to Florida and honestly, it's a good age to be there because you're still a lover of Disney but can still remember quite a lot about the trip. I remember meeting a load of characters, seeing the shows and just having the best time going on rides. I even went on my first upside down roller coaster which was called the Kraken I think. That was amazing. I just have so many memories from this trip and I would love to one da...

Day 12 TV

Image
This is day twelves photo which is my tv. I actually got this tv because I used to have a small television and there was a spare television at my Grandad’s house that nobody was using so I traded my old tv in and took that one. I was quite impressed because there was nothing wrong with the television and it had a hdmi slot so it was perfect. I’ve had it now for over four years and it has caused me no trouble. It’s the perfect size for my bedroom. I’ve been watching episodes of I’m In The Band which was a show I watched when I was a teenager on Disney XD and thought it was the best show. It still holds up today as it has the humour of slapstick and there are some great lines. I love the characters of Ash, Derek and Burger. Tripp is good and it wouldn’t be the same but I can tell his humour is directed at the teenage audience which I no longer relate to sadly. Although I’m not even sure today's teenagers would relate because the world is a very different place. There were no tablets,...

Video Game Nostalgia

Image
Something I don’t really talk about on this blog is video games. Probably because I’m not some hardcore gamer with the latest consoles. I literally only have a PS2 (which is the best console to ever exist) and a PS3. Although I’m hoping to get a PS4 soon if only it would come back in stock where I live. It will happen one day. Anyway, I wanted to go on a little nostalgia trip of game series that is a very memorable part of my childhood and I thought why not share it with you right now. Tomb Raider PS1 Bet you didn’t think I’d be mentioning a PS1 game first well I am. This game and the whole series have a lot of memories for me. I grew up with a big brother and a dad who owned the PS1 (yes, I am that old) and one of the games they played was Tomb Raider. Now I didn’t play it myself because I was a scaredy cat and the wolves on the first level terrified me. I just have memories of watching either my brother or dad play this game. I was mesmerised that they were playing a female chara...

My Christmas

Image
I thought I'd do a little photo spread of my Christmas decorations. Everyone is different with their decorations. Honestly there is no right or wrong way to decorate your house for Christmas. I always help my mum decorate our tree and she lets me take control of the Christmas lights which makes me happy because I try and make it work so that most of the tree is covered. I decided to go with our colourful lights and add some red lights in there too which I think works out really well. We then put the baubles on together and I love it because we have a lot of mismatched baubles from my childhood so it's great because we can just put the baubles on anywhere we like. I kind of like that our tree has no real theme and it's just perfect when it's all mismatched. It makes me very happy and nostalgic. We also have an angel that we have owned since I was a baby and she can no longer sit on the top of the tree straight. We just had her sitting next to the star which many ma...

Question Time

Image
For today's post I felt like answering a few questions. I'll leave a link below to where I got the questions from. I just felt like doing a little Q&A but I don't exactly have a big following to probably get any questions. I thought it would be just fun to answer some questions and for you guys to get to know me a little bit more. Let's get started: 1. On a scale of 1-10, how strict were your parents?  I'd say around 5 because they weren't overly strict growing up. They kind of set the boundaries as most parents do. The only thing that got on my mums nerves was I was a bit of a messy child and would struggle to clean my room when I was a kid. She'd always tell me when you're finished playing with something then put it back but I kind of played with one thing then play with another without tidying up. That's how my room would turn into a mess. I've improved a lot since them and am a lot tidier but yeah my parents weren't overly ...

A Letter To My Sixteen Year Old Self

Image
To My Sixteen Year Old Self, Everything is going to be okay. You're probably freaking out because you're about to do your GCSEs and you're probably thinking that this is the most important year of your life. Well let's just say it is and it isn't. It may seem like there's so much pressure to do well in your GCSEs but really it shouldn't have to be. Let's just say as your twenty two year old self. Nobody has cared that I have a GCSE in English Language or Maths or Science. They don't really matter and a grade on a piece of paper does not define who you are. I wish I could say life gets so much easier as you get older and it doesn't. However, school will be over for you in two and a half years and trust me. You'll feel much happier when you've finished school. I suggested stop pining after the man of your dreams. You're not going to find him in school and you won't find him in university. I know you're going to develop a ...
