My Christmas

I thought I'd do a little photo spread of my Christmas decorations. Everyone is different with their decorations. Honestly there is no right or wrong way to decorate your house for Christmas.

I always help my mum decorate our tree and she lets me take control of the Christmas lights which makes me happy because I try and make it work so that most of the tree is covered. I decided to go with our colourful lights and add some red lights in there too which I think works out really well. We then put the baubles on together and I love it because we have a lot of mismatched baubles from my childhood so it's great because we can just put the baubles on anywhere we like. I kind of like that our tree has no real theme and it's just perfect when it's all mismatched. It makes me very happy and nostalgic. We also have an angel that we have owned since I was a baby and she can no longer sit on the top of the tree straight. We just had her sitting next to the star which many may think is weird but I've always known her to be on the tree and that will never change. We also four decorations that have mine and my brothers name on which is cute, There's also a decoration that I made several years ago out of jigsaw pieces which is cute.

We also have this little snow globe that my mum got me for my uni room in my first year of university.

One thing I was vcry proud of this year was decorating our fireplace with a stocking. Now we got this fireplace this year and I thought it would be cute to have a stocking hanging there.

I also got to decorate our banister with tinsel and I'm very proud of how it turned out.

As you know from my Christmas traditions post, every Christmas for as long as I can remember, I've always had my stocking on my bedroom door. It just makes me happy and again feel nostalgic because my mum always gives me and my brother some stocking presents every year. This is the one I had when I was a child and wouldn't want any other stocking.

Anyway, that's my Christmas decorations. It may not be perfect or photogenic but it's the Christmas I know and love. It's mix and match but at the end of the day it makes me happy which is what Christmas is all about.

That's all I have to say for now but I'll be back again tomorrow with another Blogmas post.

See you then.
