I just wanted to take this moment to say thank you so much to anyone that has taken the time to view and read my blog this year. It means so much to me and I can't quite believe how far this blog has come.  Last May was rather special for me because it was the tenth anniversary of this blog. A milestone that I didn't think I'd ever reach. Especially through all the Blogger's blocks and gaps in Blogging I've done in the past. I was seventeen years old studying my A Levels when I first started the blog.  If you told seventeen year old me that this year I would have had 55K page views. I wouldn't have believed you. Now I know to some, that's not exactly a viral thing. To me though, that truly means a lot to me because I can count the number of friends I have on one hand, yet my blog was viewed all over the world, 55K times in 2024. That is just incredible. Dear Reader, Why hello there? I thought I’d direct this post to you, the one who is reading this. How are you doing? I hope life is treating you well at the moment. If not then I hope things will get better for you. There’s normally a silver lining to things, you just have to look for it. Happy Thanksgiving to all my American readers out there. Of course we don't celebrate it here in the UK as it's an American holiday but I thought I'd get in the spirit of things by listing all the things I'm thankful for.  1. My Family Of course my family means so much to me especially my mum as I live with her and she has been there for me since the day I was born. Of course I'm grateful to all my family and even though sometimes I don't speak to them on a weekly basis or see them much due to distance, they all mean so much to me and I wouldn't be the person I am without them. I love my family and I'm grateful to have them in my life. 2. My electronics This is definitely a modern age, first world thing but honestly I'd be a little lost without some of my electronics. Thank You I’ve just hit 100,000 page views on this blog and honestly I’d never thought I’d ever get to that figure. I was happy to get 1000 views but in the nine years I’ve run this blog that figure honestly means a lot to me. I just wanted to take this moment to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to anyone that’s taken the time to view, read, share and comment on my blog. Dear Readers,  Thank you. You visiting my blog means a lot to me. I have been blogging now for over seven years. One thing I never imagined for this blog was getting over 1000 page views, let alone over 39,000 page views. That is crazy to me that my blog has been viewed that many times. I may not be a well-known blogger and I'm not sure how I would feel to be a popular blogger because I'm so introverted, but it means a lot that my words can be seen by anyone all over the world. Hi all, You may or may not have noticed but I haven't made a blog post since the beginning of January and it is now February. I decided to take a small break from blogging due to personal reasons. Unfortunately my 2020 did not get off to a great start as my Granddad passed way on the 5th January. It has been hard and upsetting to deal with so that's why I haven't been blogging. I figured I should just focus on myself and my family while we deal with this which helped so much. At times like this you do have to stick together. Of course, I will miss my Granddad so much but I know he is at peace and in a better place now. Anyway, I thought I'd give you guys this little life update and just let you know where I've been. This day is kind of special for me as on this day five years ago I created my first blog post. It doesn't feel like it has been five years and yet here we are. I started this little blog back in 2014 thinking it'll be something fun to do. I like to think I've improved since then but I know I make the odd mistake here and there from time to time. One thing I didn't think would ever happen is my blog would be viewed over 24,000 times. That's a lot of people. I also find it interesting when I look at my audience stats and see that people are viewing my blog not just from the UK but from the USA, Russia, Germany, France, Ukraine and so many more places. That is a little crazy to me that people from all over the world are taking a moment to view my blog. Here we are, the final day of April. I managed to post everyday in April aside from four days. It was bound to happen. When you post everyday for a month on your blog, it is kind of difficult to come up with 30 posts and make them all interesting. I did have a couple of short posts on some days but at the end of the day a post is a post no matter how long or short it is. I do recommend to any fellow bloggers out there to give it a try and post everyday for an entire month. It definitely motivates you to blog more and I am more inspired to post regularly on this blog. Something happened yesterday which I did not expect but it honestly made me feel so happy and it involved this blog. I was looking at my blogging stats and I saw that my most popular post was my Dissertation Tips post. Now I knew that already because last week it had about 100 page views (which by the way made me super happy to see that so many people viewed it). I thought that itself was an achievement. I've never gotten up to 100 page views on a post before but it made me so happy that people were taking the time to view that particular post and maybe some even took on board some of my advice. I mean it helped me a bit that my own university promoted the post so that boosted views. Anyway, back to yesterday I was looking at the stats of this blog and I found that the Dissertation Tips post had over 2000 page views. I was in complete shock. That is crazy. Two whole years of I can't believe I've been blogging on this blog for two whole years. I've shared so many memories and posts with you guys. It's been nice. Before I barely had any views. Maybe one or two but that was probably me just checking my blog. Now I'm slowly learning how to promote my blog better by using social media like Twitter and even bloglovin.
