Day 19 Holiday

Image
For today's photo of the day, we're doing a throwback to my favourite childhood holiday. Honestly, Walt Disney World in Florida was the best holiday I went on. I still have memories of it and a whole load of photos to look back on. It was one of the last family holidays I went on with my mum, dad and brother so it holds a lot of memories for me. This was actually taken when we're at a shop and trying on a load of different hats. Obviously, I didn't buy any as they were super expensive but it was fun all the same. I was eight years old when I went to Florida and honestly, it's a good age to be there because you're still a lover of Disney but can still remember quite a lot about the trip. I remember meeting a load of characters, seeing the shows and just having the best time going on rides. I even went on my first upside down roller coaster which was called the Kraken I think. That was amazing. I just have so many memories from this trip and I would love to one da...

Disney Live Action Remakes

Image
Once upon a time, we'd get a Disney remake once a year or even once every two years. Now though it seems like Disney is giving us multiple remakes in one year. I thought I'd share my thoughts on this as someone who loves a Disney movie as much as the next one. Don't worry, there will only be one spoiler about The Lion King but I will give you a warning to skip that paragraph if you don't want to hear it. Growing up in the late nineties and early 2000s Disney was a huge part of that. We had a whole collection of Disney VHS and I remember spending lots of time just watching a lot of the animated Disney movies. I loved them and it was a real comfort to me. My favourites were definitely Beauty and the Beast as well as Winnie the Pooh. The amount of times I rewatched these two in particular might have been concerning but I didn't care I was happy. Growing up, I was blissfully unaware of what a remake was. My first memory of a remake was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory ...

5 Things I Want To Do After Lockdown

Image
I don't know how long we're going to be in this lockdown for, but it's always good to look forward to the future so I thought I'd share five things I want to do when the lockdown is over. The obvious is going outside because that is something I will happily do all the time when this is over but here are some little goals that I want to do when this is over. 1. Get my eyebrows professionally done I've never had my eyebrows waxed or shaped professionally. I have been blessed with good eyebrows but I've never had them done by a professional and I thought it would be fun to do when this is all over. That's why I am currently not plucking my eyebrows and just letting them grow out so that by the time the lockdown is over, a professional can work on them. 2. Visit Scotland and travel more One thing I really want to do this year is visit Scotland because I've lived in the UK for twenty three years of my life and I haven't visited Scotland or Ireland...

My Christmas

Image
I thought I'd do a little photo spread of my Christmas decorations. Everyone is different with their decorations. Honestly there is no right or wrong way to decorate your house for Christmas. I always help my mum decorate our tree and she lets me take control of the Christmas lights which makes me happy because I try and make it work so that most of the tree is covered. I decided to go with our colourful lights and add some red lights in there too which I think works out really well. We then put the baubles on together and I love it because we have a lot of mismatched baubles from my childhood so it's great because we can just put the baubles on anywhere we like. I kind of like that our tree has no real theme and it's just perfect when it's all mismatched. It makes me very happy and nostalgic. We also have an angel that we have owned since I was a baby and she can no longer sit on the top of the tree straight. We just had her sitting next to the star which many ma...

Question Time

Image
For today's post I felt like answering a few questions. I'll leave a link below to where I got the questions from. I just felt like doing a little Q&A but I don't exactly have a big following to probably get any questions. I thought it would be just fun to answer some questions and for you guys to get to know me a little bit more. Let's get started: 1. On a scale of 1-10, how strict were your parents?  I'd say around 5 because they weren't overly strict growing up. They kind of set the boundaries as most parents do. The only thing that got on my mums nerves was I was a bit of a messy child and would struggle to clean my room when I was a kid. She'd always tell me when you're finished playing with something then put it back but I kind of played with one thing then play with another without tidying up. That's how my room would turn into a mess. I've improved a lot since them and am a lot tidier but yeah my parents weren't overly ...

If the internet didn't exist..

Image
There was a time when the internet wasn't such a big thing in my life. When I was younger, I never had the internet and the only time I went onto the computer was just to play games like Pinball, Solitaire or even on the CBBC website. Social media wasn't even around much and my family had a shared email account on AOL.  I didn't even get my first phone until I was ten and it was a snazzy smart phone. It was just a Nokia phone that had a camera, music and couple of games. It was nothing special but I still liked it.  Now though if I have a phone, it has to be able to connect to the internet. Just so I could go on social media or take an Instagram or just search for something online. Right now I wouldn't know what to do if I didn't have the internet because I wouldn't be able to watch Netflix or iPlayer. I wouldn't even be able to see what my friends are doing unless I texted or phoned them. I'd probably just be reading all the time if I d...

15 Facts About Me

Image
Here are some facts about me that you probably didn't know. 1. My middle name is Ivy after my great grandmother. 2. When I was younger I used to pretend my teddies and dollies were my children. 3. I talk to myself a lot. I don't mean mumbling stuff, I mean full blown conversations that I wouldn't have with anyone else. 4. I've only gotten drunk once and that was on my Year 13 leavers nighr. I've been tipsy though. (I'm 18 by the way and it's legal to drink at 18 here in the UK)  5. I can be quite shy around new people at first but when I'm comfortable around someone I will talk to them for ages. 6. During secondary school for some reason I was really quiet during lessons but the only lesson I was loud, confident and wasn't afraid to embarrassed myself in was Physical Education. To this day I have no idea why. I'm not a very active person. 7. I've never been to Scotland or Ireland.  8. The most north I...

The Disney Tag!

Image
Hey guys! Now, I know I'm eighteen year old girl but I love Disney. I grew up watching Disney movies and sometimes if there's a Disney film on Netflix I will watch it. Anyway, as I love Disney I thought I will do the Disney tag so let's get started. 1. Who is your favorite Disney princess? When I was a little girl, I always loved Belle from Beauty and the Beast. I don't know why, but I just always used to want to be like her. I still like her because she is a bookworm like me. 2. Who's your favorite prince? I will have to say Prince Eric from the Little Mermaid because I think he's the most good looking one out of all of them. 3. Who are your favorite couple?  Probably Belle and the beast in his human form. I just think they're good together. 4. Who is your least favorite princess? I never really liked Cinderella. I would watch the film but I was never really keen on her. Don't know why. 5. What is your favorite dress/outf...
