5 Easter Ideas

Easter Sunday is coming up next week and whether you celebrate it or just see it as another day. It's the perfect excuse to have some fun and make it a less boring Sunday. I've come up with a list whether you have a family, friends or spending the day alone. Here are few ideas that you might enjoy on Easter Sunday.

1. Sunday Roast
Who doesn't love a Sunday Roast? I don't know about anyone else around the world but in the UK, everyone loves a good old fashioned Sunday Roast. Of course you can adapt whether you are a meat lover or vegan. Easter is a good excuse to have a nice meal whether it's with family or friends or have one by yourself. Who says you need other people to enjoy a roast dinner at least you get to decide what you actually want and there's no arguments over what potatoes to choose: boiled/mashed/roasted? For me it's roast potatoes every time. Either way, it's a nice excuse to have a roast and even go all out with all the trimmings because why not.

2. Easter Party
Have a party. Invite family and friends. Make it fun. Have an Easter Egg hunt (it doesn't just have to be for kids because every adult secretly loves a scavenger hunt). Play games that you used to play when you were younger or if you're really sophisticated have a wine tasting or afternoon tea. Either way it's your party and your rules. Hopefully the weather is nice so you can have a nice outdoor party where you have a picnic and nice music playing. Either way why not have a party because these past few years parties haven't been very fun, so this is the perfect excuse to party.

3. Movie Day
Even if you're someone who doesn't celebrate Easter, you know you can never resist an Easter Egg especially if you're a chocolate lover. Why not enjoy those Easter Eggs and have a movie day? Whether it's by yourself or with your significant other or family/friends it's the perfect excuse. Especially if you have the day off work too then you may as well make the most of it and have a nice day at home.

4. Go To The Beach
If you'd rather not stay at home all day, then why not go to the beach. Most places will be closed on Easter Sunday, but the beach is a place that is always open. Especially if it's a lovely day outside then embrace the weather by going to the beach. Bring a picnic with you so if you're feeling peckish. I wouldn't recommend bringing your Easter Eggs out though for the very obvious reason that they're going to melt plus it's something for you to enjoy when you get home. Either way, the beach is a great place to go to on Easter weekend and gives you some nice family quality time or if you don't want to go with family then go with your friends, I'm sure they will be up for it as much as you're up for it. Just have a nice fun day out on the beach.

5. A Day of Self-Love
If you're someone who doesn't really want to spend the day with family and friends who'd rather have a day to themselves on Easter Sunday, then why not indulge in a bit of self-love. Whether it's having a pamper day where you take care of your skin, your nails or even your hair. Having a spring clean of your home or just a bit bedroom to make you feel like you have your life together. Just going for a good old fashioned walk to clear your head. Go all out and listen to some music, take a flask with you filled with hot chocolate or coffee. Find a nice place to sit and read a book. Have a tech-free day or an offline day where you're not scrolling through social media. There are many benefits to having a day where you're taking care of yourself because sometimes you need a reminder that you are important too and there's no better reminder than yourself. So take care of yourself and have a full day of self-love because you are worth it.

So those are five of my ideas for Easter whether you celebrate it or not and whether you're spending it with company or on your own. I'm sure some of these ideas will help to make next Sunday a nice day for you.

Thank you for reading my blog and I'll be back again soon with another post.
