Autumn Bucket List

Image
I love this time of year during Autumn and for those of you who want to say, it's not Autumn yet. To me it is. I always feel like September, October and November are the Autumn months and it definitely feels like it. I thought I'd share all the things I want to do in the next three months in a bucket list and hopefully be able to cross them off as the months go.  Let's get started. Go for an Autumn walk I want to go for a walk where the leaves have fallen and crunch under my shoes. I want to be able to pick up some conkers and just enjoy the Autumn weather. Bundle up in a jumper and a coat. Just enjoy seeing the colour changing leaves on the trees and just enjoy nature. Maybe even take a hot flask with me and enjoy some hot chocolate while I walk. I'd love to do that a lot this month to go for an Autumn walk.  Go to a concert I mean technically I'm already doing this as I'm going to see McFly VS Busted this month but I thought I may as well add it onto my bucket...

April Favourites

Image
The end of another month means it's time for a list of all my favourites of the month. Let's get started. Wreck This Journal by Keri Smith I saw a tiktok the other day where it showed a video of someone doing a page out of Wreck This Journal. I'd heard of it before but never actually thought of getting it. As someone who loves scrapbooking, this journal felt perfect so I spent a Christmas gift voucher and bought it. I've had so much fun so far filling out the different pages. The point is to destroy the journal but I'm a little tame at the moment. I know there's pages like taking the book in the shower or throwing it off a high ledge. Each page is like a different project. The best part is there's no right or wrong way to do the journal. You can interpret the instructions how you like and nobody can judge you. It's definitely therapeutic to do. I'm excited to keep going with this journal. Love, Rosie I watched Love, Rosie this month and I forgot how ...

Single On Valentine's Day

Image
Valentine's Day is a week away and once again I find myself single on it. I don't mind because I've gotten so used to the single life that I wouldn't even know what to do if I had a man in my life. I'm not going to spend the day moping around, wishing I had someone to spend it. The day is about love and there is no better love than self love. I thought I'd share some of my ideas on how you can spend Valentine's Day when you're free and single. Let's get started. 1. Movie Day Go all out with a movie day. Get some cosy pyjamas for the occasion. Have a nice set up with all the cushions, blankets whether it's on your bed or the sofa. Pick out some of your favourite movies. The ones that you can't help but love or if you're in the mood. Binge watch a series you love or something you've never seen but always wanted to see. Then of course go all out with snacks like popcorn, nachos, chocolate or whatever you like. Pretend you're at the c...

Xmas Movie Day

Image
To get into the Christmas spirit, I decided to have a movie day and honestly I'm really glad I did because it just got me excited for Christmas day. Sometimes, you just need a cosy feel good movie to watch and I decided to watch these movies while I was hungover after going out the night before and it was the best decision. I closed my curtains, drank hot chocolate and had some snacks to keep me immersed while also snuggling in my Christmas bedding. It was perfect. I think the only thing missing was having someone with me but I know one day it will happen. Anyway, I want to share some of the movies I watched and why I love them.  How The Grinch Stole Christmas  This movie I watched so much growing up on VHS. Yes I had this on VHS. It's definitely a comfort movie for me. I love Jim Carrey's Grinch and how relatable he is to me in my adult years. How he didn't hate Christmas, he just hated how people treated him. It's just a fun movie to watch and really makes you get...

Day 30 Evening

Image
Today's photo is of the evening. On this particular evening I decided to get cosy and immersed by switching the lights off to watch Beetlejuice. I haven't seen this movie in so long and because the new movie is coming out soon, I felt like watching it just to refresh my memory. I'm hoping to take a trip somewhere to go watch the new one as I haven't been to the cinema in so long. I'm probably going to go alone as nobody I know seems interested in seeing it, which I'm quite excited about. I'll make a whole day trip out of it. I haven't been to the cinema in so long by myself, I used to do it a lot when I was in university and I always enjoyed it every single time. It's a whole different experience compared to when you see it with other people. There's less pressure on whether the other people with you are enjoying it, plus you get popcorn and a drink all to yourself which is a bonus.  Having this cosy evening made me realise how much I'm looki...

Day 25 Favourite Movie

Image
Today's photo of the day is my favourite movie. One of my favourite movies is The Intern. I find it to be such a sweet movie about finding yourself and learning from the experienced but also learning from the youth. It stars Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway who fit so well in this movie. I feel like this movie is so underrated because not many talk about it. It’s got comedy but also emotional scenes and it’s just a feel good film. It reminds me that we always need to keep going no matter how old we are and sometimes you need to get out there to find your purpose in life. In a strange way this movie keeps me motivated to keep blogging because I just imagine maybe one day I could be running my own blogging company. You never really know where this blog will take me. Who knows? Anyway, this is a feel good movie and definitely one of my favourites.  Let me know what your favourite movie is in the comments below and I’ll be back tomorrow with another post. See you then. Megan x *This is...

How To Have The Best Summer Ever

Image
Summer is here and honestly it's time to start planning the best summer ever. I have a few ideas here that can really help you to get started with having the best summer ever. Feel free to use any of the suggestions or all of them because I can guarantee doing any of these things can help you to have the best summer ever.  1. Have a barbeque What is summer without a barbeque? I don't know about you but I love the smell of food cooking on a barbeque. It even tastes better. Plus you can go all out with extras or keep it simple. It's a great dinner for the family or even for a social gathering. Either way, having a barbeque is one of the best things about Summer time.  2. Go on a holiday  It's also nice to have a break from reality and go on holiday somewhere. Whether it's somewhere abroad or a staycation. Go on a holiday whether that's with your family, friends or even on your own. It's always nice to have a getaway to look forward to in the Summer season. 3. ...

Day In My Life

Image
I thought for today's post I'd share some snippets of a day in my life and what I get up to during the day. This was a typical normal working day for me so let's get started. My day starts when I wake up at 7am and I normally get up as soon as my alarm goes off. I then go straight to the bathroom to do my business and brush my teeth. I then make coffee because coffee is always needed in the morning and I like to have it while I get ready for work.  The first thing I do is use my L'Oréal Paris Micellar Water and a reusable pad to do my skincare. I don't really do a lot of skincare but I do this so I can cleanse my face and make sure nothing is left on my face before I start doing my makeup. Makeup is an important part of my routine because I like to put makeup on because it makes me feel good. I also just do a natural look for work and I do the same look. I'll leave a link below to my makeup routine that I normally do for work at the end of this post. Finally, I ...

Valentine's Day As A Singleton Plans

Image
As someone who has spent the majority of my Valentine's Day as a single person. This day can be a cruel reminder of how single you are. That's why the best way to deal with this day is through a distraction. Now if you are like me and work on weekdays then you'll most likely be working on this day. While work is a good distraction, it's a bit depressing. That's why I thought I'd share some ideas on what you can do on Valentine's Day either after work or before work and if you're lucky enough to have a day off on this day then here are a few things that you can do on Valentine's Day as a single person.  Plan a solo day trip Honestly something I love to do is go on solo day trips whether it's to a town or city or even just to a shopping centre. I love it especially if I have to travel to get there whether it's taking the train or a bus there. One of my fondest memories was when I was in university and I felt a bit down so I decided to go on a d...

Spending Xmas Alone Ideas

Image
Most people usually spend Xmas with family and friends but what about the ones that would prefer to spend Xmas day alone. I thought I'd share a few ideas on what you can do if you're spending Xmas alone or even if you find yourself alone in the build up to the festive season. Here's a few ideas on what you can do. 1. Have a movie day Honestly, you can treat yourself to a whole movie day and go all out. Setting the right atmosphere with the fairy lights, candles, lots of blankets. Have some of your favourite snacks at hand to enjoy. Then of course there's the movies. You can really get into the festive spirit by watching all your favourite Christmas films or binge watching a tv series or your favourite movie series like Harry Potter. Have a movie marathon because honestly it's a great distraction watching films that you love. This is definitely something I'd recommend if you're spending Xmas alone.  2. Cook your favourite meal Honestly, you don't have to ...

Things To Do This Halloween

Image
Halloween is just a week away and to many it may seem like just another day but for a lot of people Halloween is a time to make plans and celebrate the day for all its worth. I thought I'd share some ideas on things you can do this Halloween to get you ready for the spooky day.  1. Trick or Treat This is an obvious one but trick or treating is a traditional thing when Halloween comes around. It's often where kids and teenagers dress up and go around knocking on neighbours doors for sweets. Of course I think trick or treating when you're an adult is often frowned upon but it's fun for the kids and teenagers as it's a chance for them to get lots of sweets. It's important though to only knock on people's houses that have a pumpkin outside their house as many don't like to be disturbed. Although some people just ignore that rule and knock anyway. On the other end, if you're like me and the thought of having people knock on your door throughout the night ...

Evening Routine

Image
As I did my morning routine on one of my previous posts, it only seemed fitting to do an evening routine post too. This was on a normal evening and honestly I had no real plans for this particular evening but it's a pretty standard evening and a typical one nonetheless.  Let's get started. My evening tends to begin with food. I feel like dinner time is always the time when your evening begins. For dinner, my mum and I had a Tesco meal for two deal and it was Chicken in Cabernet Sauvignon with some vegetables and for dessert we had two chocolate tarts which were really tasty. While we ate dinner, my mum had Elvis on so I ended up watching a bit of that while I had my dinner. After dinner, I tend to go back to my room to chill out. Sometimes I'll even have a bath or shower but on this day I showered in the morning so I didn't really need to do it this evening. As I live at home with my mum, my bedroom is where I spend most of my time except for when I have dinner or Coron...
