As I've been into reading over August, I thought I'd share my to be read pile with you and all the books I'm excited to read this month. Let's get started. None Of This Is True By Lisa Jewell I'm so excited to read this book because I've previously read two of Lisa Jewell's books which were Watching You and Don't Let Him In. Honestly, I loved them both as they had such great twists and turns. Honestly, I couldn't put them down when I was reading them. I got this book as I wanted to read more and I've heard a lot of positive things about this one. It follows the story of a Podcaster who has a subject who wants her story to be told in the podcast. Soon the more the podcast goes deep into the subject life, the darker it becomes. I'm excited because I also have the audiobook. I'm a weirdo who likes to listen to audiobooks while reading. I heard having the audiobook is great because it has the audio track like a podcast during the podcast scen...

August Reads

Image
In August, I did quite a bit of reading. I've been slacking with my reading and fallen behind on my Goodreads reading challenge which is twenty five books. This month I decided to read again as the first book I read made me realise how much I love reading and got me back in the reading game. I just love how a book can transport you to a different world and let you escape real life. I'm not going to lie, I read a lot of good books this month and I thought I'd share them with you now. With Love From The Morisaki Bookshop by Satoshi Yagisawa This book is a duology which is at Days At The Morisaki Bookshop and More Days At The Morisaki Bookshop. I picked this book up a while ago when I was browsing Waterstones for a new book and this one caught my eye. It’s such a pretty cover that I had to get it. I’d also heard of this book from somewhere and I thought why not. It follows the life of Takako who finds herself moving into her Uncle Satoru’s bookshop after a heartbreak. It sees ...

My Reading List

Image
Something I've been doing a lot recently is reading books and I thought I'd share my reading plans with you all as I have four books on my reading list and one book that I'm currently reading. I've been really enjoying reading this past couple of months and I'm excited to share with you the books on my reading list.  Let's get started! Surprise Me By Sophie Kinsella This is a book that I started reading previously while I was on holiday one year but I didn't really get into much so I put it down and never got back to reading then I ended up donating it instead. It wasn't until I came across this book in a charity shop for £2 that I thought I'd give it another chance. Honestly, I've been enjoying it so far because it's about a husband and wife who discover they are going to be married for the next sixty years of their life and suddenly that scares them. I know for many that might be a nice thought but for this couple, their marriage seems to h...

My Reading Plans

Image
If you've read my blog in the past, you know I've made many posts about books and that's because I love to read. I've done this back in July and I realise there's a few books from that post on here still. That's because I'm a huge procrastinator but I thought I'd share my reading plans for the rest of the year. I currently only have seven books on my bookshelf to read then I will complete my goal of reading all the books on my bookshelf which is a goal I never thought I'd achieve. Although the temptation to buy more books is very real either way, all the books I want to read and hope to finish by the end of this year. Let's get started.  Currently Reading One Enchanted Evening by Katie Fforde This book is one I'm enjoying so far. It's a nice story of haters to lovers kind of story is what I'm assuming is going to happen. The main character is called Meg which I'm very happy about as that's the main reason why I bought this boo...

My Reading Plans

Summer is here and this is the perfect time to get your tbr list down. I think because of the nice weather you can take a book and read anywhere whether that's on the beach or in the park or on your travels. Now is the perfect time to crack open a book and this summer I decided to challenge myself with five books to read which may not seem like a lot but I get into the habit of having a reading slump so this year I'm going to force myself to read five books that have been sitting on my TBR shelf for quite some time. Now without further ado, let's get on with my list of books I want to read this summer.  1. With This Kiss by Carrie Hope Fletcher This is the book I'm currently reading at the moment and I'm super excited about reading it. I've read a few of her books in the past and they always surprise me because you think it's going to be a pretty normal story but then something magical happens in between those pages and suddenly you're pleasantly surpris...

Reading Goals

Image
As someone who is a massive bookworm, I always get excited every year when I set my new Goodreads goal and this year I've got it to 30 books which is similar to what I did last year. Sometimes I'm hit and miss with reading as I will read a book in one day to it will take me a few months to read a book. However, I'm excited about the books on my reading list and thought I'd share with you the books I'm planning on reading this year. Carry On By Rainbow Rowell Carry On by Rainbow Rowell is a book that wasn't initially ever on my reading list, however last year I reread Fangirl and inside the book has snippets of the Carry On which piqued my interest. I've heard good things about it so I added it to my cart and now own a copy. I'm excited to read it because while I know hints of the story from Fangirl, I don't know what to expect other than the two characters of Baz and Simon. I know it also has similiar vibes to Harry Potter as it is based in a wizardi...

Summer Reading List

Image
Summer is honestly the perfect time for reading. The weather is nicer, so you have more opportunities to read outside whether it's on the beach, holiday etc. I thought I'd share my reading list of five books I plan on reading this summer which have been on my to be reading list for a while.  So let's get started. I Heart London by Lindsey Kelk I've been getting my way slowly through the I heart series so it's no surprise that this is on my Summer reading list. I'm currently reading I Heart Vegas as I'm writing this post and I'm excited because I really enjoyed the previous book. I get a sense knowing the title of the next book that I know where the story of Angela Clark is heading considering the ending of the last book but I'm very much excited as this story is definitely a feel good romantic comedy in a book. Of course I should include the rest of the series on this list as I'm planning on reading them too, but I didn't want to fill this re...

My Favourite Books

Image
As someone who loves to read, I've come across some amazing reads especially since my last post in 2016. I thought I'd give you an update on my top ten favourite books. So here they are: 1. Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins The reason this is my top favourite book is because for me it was one of those books that the moment, I got it and started reading, I couldn't put it down. I absolutely loved it and found it honestly the perfect contemporary romance book. It was relatable in a sense of having a crush on a guy you can't have but also being set in the beautiful city in Paris. It was just well written and after every chapter I just wanted to keep going. It was definitely a feel good read and honestly, I just love it so much that it is definitely my favourite book.  2. Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling I couldn't not mention this series in a list of my favourite books because it honestly is. I read (or rather listen to the audiobooks) this series every ...
