My Feel-Good Songs

Music is such a powerful thing because there is a song for almost every mood. Sometimes the lyrics relate to how you're feeling or the song just puts you in a better mood than you were. I thought I'd share my top five feel-good songs that always put me in a better mood.

1. I'll Be Okay by McFly
One of my favourite albums of all time is Wonderland by McFly. I can listen to all their songs on repeat as most of them are my favourite McFly songs. However, I'll Be Okay is one of those songs that really puts me in a better mood because it just shows that even when life gets you down at the end of the day, you're going to be okay. It's just such a good bop and I love it when I hear it. From the guitar intro to the lyrics to the chorus just making you want to dance. It is definitely a song that makes me feel good everytime I hear it.

2. Your Song by Ewan McGregor, Moulin Rouge
Now I know this is an Elton John song and he of course sings it very well. However, when I watched Moulin Rouge for the first time and heard Ewan McGregor sing the first line of this song it felt like everything just changed for me. For one I didn't realise Ewan McGregor could sing so well but the way he sings this song is honestly so beautiful and now this song along with El Tango de Roxanne are songs that I listen to on repeat. It's just a beautiful song and with the added opera from Alessandro Safina just makes this a beautiful song. It brings so much joy to me and even though it's a love song, it's not necessarily about a lover. It could be about how wonderful a person close to you is like a friend, family member etc. is because they're in your world. It's honestly a beautiful song and this version is an amazing version. Your life will never be the same again when you hear this version.

3. With A Few Good Friends by Carly Simon, Piglet's Big Movie
I feel like this is an underrated song because nobody ever really talks about it. Piglet's Big Movie was a movie I watched a lot growing up because I was obsessed with Winnie the Pooh and this song is honestly so good. It's just a happy little song about building a house for Eeyore and doing it with a few good friends. From the lyrics, to the music arrangement. It's honestly such a good song and I wish more people listened to it because it is a feel-good song that is guaranteed to put you in a good mood. I would highly recommend you give it a listen because I honestly love this song.

4. A Million Dreams by Pink, The Greatest Showman
I remember watching the Greatest Showman for the first time in the cinema and this was definitely one of my favourite songs from the movie. It was a while before I heard the Pink version of this song and honestly I love this version. It's such a good song and the way Pink sings it is just incredible. We all have dreams in our lives and this just shows that no matter how big or small the dream is, you can achieve it if you really try. This is definitely a feel-good song and has a chorus you'll be singing along to in no time. It's a song that is guaranteed to put you in a good mood.

5. Time Warp by Rocky Horror
Honestly, there are no words to describe while this is a feel good song because it just is. Everytime you hear it, you just want to perform the Time Warp dance and it's just one of those songs that makes you forget all your cares in the world. It puts you in a good mood to the time warp and honestly I love this song. It's a song I will happily listen to whenever it plays on my Playlist plus it's a great song to play during parties and weddings which is always a feel-good time. I would highly recommend giving into the temptation of the Time Warp.

Anyway, those are my top five feel-good songs. I'm sure there are plenty more out there but I didn't want this list to go on forever. Let me know what your favourite feel-good song is in the comments below, I would love to hear it.

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and I'll be back tomorrow with another post for you.
