Five Places I Want To Drive To

It's been nearly two months since I passed my driving test and all I'm waiting on is getting a car then the world is my oyster. I've been so excited about passing my test as there are quite a few places I'd love to drive to and I thought I'd share my top five with you right now so let's get started.
1. Bristol
This one is a very obvious one as if any of you didn't know, I was born in Bristol and it was my childhood home for ten years of my life. The only times I go down to visit is to see my Dad and the family but one thing I've always wanted to do is drive down there myself in my own car because relying on the trains never goes down well. Plus it will make it so much quicker to get down there. Not only that there's a lot of little villages that I grew up in and went to Primary school that I would love to visit just to feel nostalgic. It's not the same as visiting them on Google Maps so I would love to be able to visit them in person and driving means I'll be able to do that without inconveniencing anyone else because it's on my time. Either way Bristol is going to be one of the first long drives I take as it is a place I've been longing to drive to for a while.

2. Manchester
Another city that steals my heart and is definitely one of my favourite cities. It's a city that I love to visit. One of the reasons is because my brother lives there but it's a city I can easily get around and it would be great to attempt to drive there at least once. I've been the passenger when my mum has driven there but it would be nice if I can return the favour for her and especially as I know she doesn't like driving on motorways that well. Not that I have much experience of that but I'd rather gain some experience with a passenger by my side who has driven on plenty of motorways in her time and I know these days Google maps can be really helpful when getting anywhere. Either way I'm excited when I get a car to take a trip to Manchester.

3. Cardiff
This may be a little random but Cardiff is the capital of Wales and it only seems right to have a little drive over there every once in a while. It's only a two and a half hour drive but that's okay because it means I could spend the day there doing shopping or go see a show which is something I've been longing to do then drive back home. Plus it will give me a chance to get used to driving on motorways if I drive to Cardiff and it won't take me too long either. Plus it will be a fun little weekend getaway to say, I'm off to Cardiff for the weekend and I'm sure I can persuade people to join me too or just go on my own. Either way, Cardiff is a place I'm excited to drive to.

4. Warrington
This may be another random place to visit but for me, it's not. I spent three years of my life in Warrington going to university and it's a town that holds a special place in my heart. Plus just visiting there for a short weekend will give me plenty of time to visit all the different places I used to go to when I was a student. It's nothing special but I'm a very nostalgic person and Warrington is a place that feels very nostalgic for me but I also know there is plenty to do around there especially when you can drive so I'm looking forward to being able to experience that when the time comes.

5. Glasgow
I thought I'd throw in one that may take a bit of time before I actually do it. One thing I would love to be able to do one day is to drive to Scotland. Of course I would take many breaks on the drive there but how cool would it be to say I've driven to Scotland especially as I live in Wales, I will be driving through three countries of the United Kingdom. I've been to Edinburgh before by train with my family but I would love to also have a chance to visit Glasgow too. Another goal would be to cross the channel to Ireland but that will take even more planning as there's a bit of water between us but to drive up to Scotland would be amazing. I know it takes half a day to do so but it will be worth it. This will have to be one of those trips I do with someone else because I don't think I'd be able to do it on my own but it would be a fun trip nonetheless.

Anyway, those are five places I want to drive to and I honestly can't wait now that I've passed my driving test because soon all these things will be a reality. I just need to get myself a car first then I'm on the road. This list may be very random to other people but to me it means a lot and I'm so excited to eventually cross all these off my list. Let me know a place you would love to visit, it doesn't have to be in the UK, it can be anywhere in the world. I would love to hear it.

Thank you for reading my blog and I'll be back soon with another post.

See you then.
