Turning 27

Happy birthday to me!

Today I'm 27 years old and it's actually so weird. I feel like when you're in your early twenties that the thought of turning 30 feels miles away but when you get past the 25 year mark and get closer to your thirties, it's a scary thought. 

Although I'm currently feeling no scary thoughts at the moment because as you're reading this, I'm currently enjoying the sunshine in Cyprus and having a very nice week off work. Honestly, I've only ever been on holiday when it was my birthday once and that was when I was four years old and had to stand on a chair on a stage while lots of strangers sang happy birthday to me. This time I'm most likely relaxing by the pool and tonight I'm going to drink cocktails as well as eat nice food. 

Now I'm not going to dwell on the fact I'm 27 years old because age is a number. However, it is making me feel like I need to start putting my life into gear. After all, I passed my driving test a couple of months ago so I think my first goal of being 27 is to get myself a car so I can start driving to places. There are so many places I want to visit and in fact my next post on this blog is a list of all those places I want to go to so be sure to look forward to that. My love life is completely non-existent at the moment and I feel like it's nearly time to go back into the online dating world. Although I have enjoyed my time being single, I have experienced what it's like to have a boyfriend. I kind of miss having someone just there. Anyway, that's a thought for another time because I know online dating is not as easy as it seems. 

Anyway, happy birthday to me and if it's anyone's birthday today then happy birthday. If it's not your birthday then happy unbirthday to you. I hope you all have a lovely day and I'll be back again soon with another post for you.

Planning for the future is probably one of the most scariest things. Especially when you have an end goal but have no idea how to achieve that goal. Of course many things can go wrong and you're kind of terrified to take that risk. That's how I'm feeling right now. 30 Things To Do Before I'm 30

I thought I would do one of those posts where I talk about things I want to do in the future and why not do a 30 things I want do before I'm 30 so I have about nine years to achieve these thirty goals for myself. It's also something I could look back on when I am thirty years old to see if I actually have achieved any of these things. Hopefully I will but we'll have to wait and see in nine years time. 1. Get my degree Now this is probably an obvious one as I'm in my third year of university but honestly after two years of doing university it would be nice if next year I could have a degree. Chapter Two

The end of the longest month of the year to enter the shortest month of the year, except it's a leap year so instead of twenty eight days, we have twenty nine days. How exciting.  I've had an interesting first month of the year. I booked a once in a lifetime trip to Las Vegas and I'm also planning on booking a holiday to Ireland which is very exciting as I've never been to Ireland before. I think this year is going to be full of adventures so I'm looking forward to what this year will bring. It's getting me motivated to start living a healthier lifestyle though. Eating less and moving more.  I'm also still saving up on top of all the holidays, I hope to buy a car this year. I'm not sure what I'm planning on doing this February. I know there's Valentine's Day which as a single person is a day I detest, although I'm going to make plans and celebrate my single hood. Then of course there's pancake day which is always a treat.
