Happy New Year

Image
2018 is finally over and now it's hello 2019. A part of me is glad that it's over because 2018 was a roller coaster of emotions for me. It did start great because for the first time in my life, I went on a date and a part of me hoped it would go somewhere and for a few weeks everything was great but of course all good things come to an end. Reality hit me hard and I realised it was never meant to be. Unfortunately being the hopeless romantic I was had hope which resulted in me being heartbroken. So yeah not the best part of 2018 and as much as I try to forget it, I always sit and wonder what if. Oh well. That's over with. Let's talk about something that was a major part of my 2018. University. My final year. It was several months of stress and panic over my dissertation and other assignments. Yet I put a lot of hard work into all my assignments and did the best I could do for them. Luckily this resulted in me graduating with a 2:1 grade in November which definite...

Graduating Today

Image
Hey guys! Today, this is going to be a rather short post but I thought I'd let you all know that I'm graduating today. I can't believe today is the day. I'm both nervous and excited. Nervous because I'm afraid I'll trip and fall (every graduates worst nightmare) but if you know me, I trip over nothing usually so this is a legitimate fear of mine. I'm also excited though because this is probably the biggest event of my life apart from my wedding (and who knows when that will ever happen) so yeah it's very exciting. I've watched a live stream of one of the other ceremonies for my university and it looks very formal. I can't wait for mine. It's not until 3pm today so I have all morning to get ready for it but I can't wait for it. Anyway, that's all I have to say for now. I thought I'd update you on this special occasion because I have blogged some of my uni experience so I may as well let you guys know the day I'm gradua...

Holiday

Image
Unfortunately this is not some exciting post where I tell you I'm going away somewhere. This is just a post to say that tomorrow is the start of my first official holiday away from work which is nine days. Having worked for two months now, I feel like now is the right time to have a break from it. My life has literally been work, eat, sleep and repeat constantly. It'll be nice to have nine days off and just not have to think about work. I also have my graduation next week so that is something to look forward to. Me and my mum are heading up to Chester for three days which is something to look forward to. I'm also really nervous about falling over on stage. I know everyone fears this but honestly I trip over nothing most of the time so yeah that's one small thing I'm a little afraid of happening but I'm going to try and not think about it too much. One thing though that you can definitely count on is me posting everyday this month so I'll make sure to...

Blogging Month

Image
This November, I'm planning on blogging everyday for the whole of November. I've done this before a couple of years ago. I attempted to do it last year but failed miserable due to lack of blogging motivation. However, this year I am determined to post everyday for the entire month of November. I have plenty of posts for you guys involving beauty, lifestyle, post university and anything else I can think of. This month is also very exciting as I have my graduation on the ninth so expect a few posts related to that. I just really enjoy blogging and I encourage anyone who wants to be more regular with their posts to take up the challenge of posting everyday for an entire month. The fact that you're setting yourself the task of posting thirty blog posts is a great challenge for you because it gives you something to work on. I've already prepared a few blog posts already for the first week but I've made a list of all the blog posts I want to make for this month. ...

Autumn Plans

Image
As it's pretty much Autumn, I thought I'd share with you all about my plans for Autumn. I'm kind of using as a guide for myself so that come December I can see whether I've achieved these plans that I've set up for myself this Autumn. It's not going to be a very big list but it's just a few things that I wish to achieve this Autumn. Let's get started! 1. Celebrate My 22nd Birthday Now one of my favourite parts of Autumn is my birthday in October. Now being an adult, birthdays are kind of not a big deal anymore. However, for my 22nd I plan to do something for it. I've booked the day off for it which is great so it gives me a chance to do something. Whether it's going somewhere for the day or go on a night out. I want to celebrate my birthday in style and just make a day of it. 2. Graduation In November is my graduation which has been a long time coming. After completing three years of university and getting my degree, Graduation is the ...

Life Update

Image
It's finally September! Which means jumper season is upon us. I love this time of year when it's the beginning of Autumn because so many exciting things are happening this time of year. It's the start of school/university/college/work. It's kind of a fresh start for a lot of people where they can just hit the reset button on life and start a fresh again. Although this year it's very weird for me because for the first time in 17 years I'm not going back to school or university or any kind of education. It feels very weird because I'm not buying any new stationary or even a new planner. I just feel very odd now that I'm not in education. However, all is not at a loss because I now have a job in McDonalds. It's going well so far and it's just what I need really to keep myself busy. Plus, I'm earning money so I can start saving for my plans for next year. Honestly if you've graduated from uni and are at a stump about what to do next. Get...

Goals For My Final Year

Image
As you may know, this year I am in my third and final year of university and I thought I'd might set myself a few goals for me to achieve so when it comes to finishing my third year I can recap my year and whether or not I've achieved these goals over the year. 1.  Get a part time job Now this might seem really random to you all but honestly I really want to get a part time job. Over the past two years of being at university I did not get myself a part time job and I feel like that's held me back. The reason I didn't get a part time job is my student loan pretty much covered all my finances and I didn't feel like I needed the extra money. In reality though a part time job is kind of useful as you gives you experience of work as well as earning extra money. I plan to put the money I earn and put it in my savings account which will then go towards my future for life after university. I figured you need money to be able to do what you want to do for life after un...

Final Year

Image
At the end of this month, I'll be heading back to university to start my third and final year of university. It is crazy that two years ago I was getting ready to head to my first year of university. Nobody lies when they say university flies by because it really does. This is like the most important year out all of them because these assignments all add up to your degree and determines what grade you'll get. It's also about figuring out what you're going to do after university which is something I'm not even sure I know yet but I'll have to figure it out and do my research. It's all the year of the dreaded ten thousand word dissertation which I am already freaking out about and I haven't even begun it yet. Although I have started coming up with ideas and questions to do for it. I'd recommend you do this before starting your third year because at least in the first lecture you can tell your tutor your ideas and then they'll let you know ...

The Future

Image
The future is kind of a scary place because you never know what is going to happen. Recently as I am in second year of uni and I've pretty much finished it, I get asked a lot about what you're going to do after university because I'll be starting third year in September. Honestly, I wish I knew what I was going to do but honestly I don't really know. A part of me wants to get a great job and start working straight away plus get a great flat to live in but I doubt that will happen straight away. I feel like there's a small chance that might happen but the likelihood is you may need to put it on hold for a year. I do have a small plan which is once I've finished university to take a sort of gap year just to sort myself out to figure out what I am going to do for the rest of my life. If you are like me and are a student who doesn't know what to do after university. You are not alone. I do recommend though taking a year out as like a gap year. I went st...
