Rainy Days

Image
There’s just something about these rainy days that I love. Especially when you’re inside, don’t have to go out. You can just sit and listen to the rain. It’s nice when you’re doing something like reading a book, watching a movie and playing a video game while you listen to the rain out there. I’m a weirdo that will also just stare out the window and watch it. I love it. Even though it’s a pain, especially when you have to go out in it, if you have a decent coat it’s honestly fine. Now that I have a car, it’s a lot easier for me to go out in the rain whereas before I’d have to brave going to the bus stop or the train station. Now it’s slightly easier. I still love it though as I’m learning a lot about my car's windscreen wiper features as it has different settings.  It’s inevitable for the rain to come as we’ve had a lot of sunny days in Summer, it’s nice to have a bit of rain back. Maybe it’s a little too much but who cares, it’s Autumn and it rains. Get used to it. I’m someone who...

September

Image
I can't quite believe we're in the ninth month of the year. I feel like this year has flown by. I've had such a good year so far by visiting different places and spending time with some great people. This month also means it's the start of my favourite season which is Autumn. I honestly love this time of year with the weather cooling down, I get to wear jumpers and go for walks where the leaves are falling. September also feels like a new beginning because it is that time of year where people are going back to school or going off to university. It feels like a fresh new beginning.  This month I'm also excited because I'm seeing McFly vs Busted in Birmingham this month which I'm so excited for. I honestly can't wait for that. Other than that I don't have much else planned other than hanging out with my favourite person and working. I think some family are also coming to visit which will be nice. Yeah this month is going to be a pretty chill but nice m...

Chapter Eleven

Image
I feel like I say this at the start of every month but I can't believe how quickly October went. It felt like it was a complete blur and now we are in November. Just two more months left of 2024 which feels crazy to me cause I've done so much this year that this year has honestly been the best year for me. This month, I don't really have much planned. I actually finished my Christmas shopping a couple of days ago so I don't have any Christmas shopping to do this month which is great cause it means I can save a bit of money this month. I think I'm going to Manchester to enjoy the Christmas markets at the end of the month which I'm excited about. Plus I'm going to see the fireworks on bonfire night. Other than that, I don't really have much planned for this month. November is definitely a chill month for me especially when I've finished my christmas shopping at the end of October, it's usually a relaxing month for me. So yeah, I don't have anyt...

Chapter Ten

Image
October is my favourite month mainly because on the fourth day of October it's my birthday. I have no plans for my birthday so far which is unusual but I think because last week I was in Las Vegas which has occupied a lot of my mind that I can finally start to think about my birthday. I do really want to go see Beetlejuice Beetlejuice so I may take a solo trip to the cinema and go on a little day trip somewhere. Not sure yet though. A girl can dream. It's also a spooky month and this is the month where it definitely feels like Autumn with the leaves falling, pumpkin spice everywhere and just the start of cosy evenings. I'm so ready for Autumn. Other than my birthday, I'm not sure what else I have planned for this month. I think it's going to be a chilled month because September was a busy month and to be honest, I do like cosy months and October fits the bill for that. Let me know what your plans for October are, I'd love to hear them.  As you're reading thi...

Chapter Nine

Image
I can't believe it's September, it feels like yesterday I was doing Chapter One on New Year's Day and here we are nine months later like a new baby being born. Not that there's anything new as I've been doing these chapter posts for nine months but at least I'm consistent.  This month is an exciting month for me because not only is it the beginning of my favourite season which is Autumn, at the end of this month I'm going to Las Vegas for a week to celebrate my mum's sixtieth birthday. I'm very excited for it because I've never been to Las Vegas, it's my first time on the West coast of America and also we're going to visit the Grand Canyon while we're there so that's another exciting thing to cross off my bucket list. I'm also one of those weird people that likes travelling on a plane, it's always exciting to me and it's even more exciting because we're going to have those TVs on the back of the seat which I'm ...

Happy Halloween

Image
Happy Halloween! It's the scariest day of the year! Not really, but it's still exciting.  Whether you're going out trick or treating, having a halloween party, watching a scary movie or listening to a true crime podcast. I hope you have a very spooky day and that you have fun. Remember to stay safe when trick or treating because you never know who is on the other side of the door and just remember to have fun and it's okay to get a little spooked but also know when enough is enough. Especially if you're home alone, don't spook yourself so much that you can't sleep. When I've been home alone, I just turn all my lights off so no trick or treaters can come knocking on my door. Although I think the rule is there has to be a lit pumpkin outside the house as that's a sign that it's okay for trick or treaters to come. Whether people listen to that rule or not, just remember to stay safe and don't go trick or treating on your own.  Anyway, I hope you...

September Favourites

Image
As we are at the end of September I thought it would be a great time to share all the things I've loved this month.  Let's get started! 1. Wizards Of Waverly Place This was honestly one of my favourite TV shows when I was a teenager. It was very relatable and I definitely related to the character of Alex growing up. I actually started watching the series earlier this year and got to the beginning of Season 3. This month though I was trying to figure out something to watch and decided to continue where I left off with Season 3 and I'm glad because I do enjoy this show. I've been meaning to binge watch all the Disney Channel shows I used to watch for the longest time but I only ever got so far. Now though I'm confident I will finish watching Wizards Of Waverly Place as I've just finished Season 3 this month so I'm on track to completing the series. This is definitely a show I've been loving this month.  2. With This Kiss by Carrie Hope Fletcher I finally g...

I Heart Autumn

Image
For me when September arrives, it's the start of Autumn. I love Autumn for a number of reasons.  The weather is starting to cool down a bit more.  September is the start of the school year so it kind of feels like the time for new beginnings.  October is my birthday month and Halloween.  Autumn is the perfect excuse to have cosy movie nights and drink hot chocolate.  Plus November has bonfire night and the build up to Xmas.  I just love this time of year. I definitely prefer the colder months compared to the hotter months as it's so much easier to wrap up warm than it is to cool down.  So yeah, I really love Autumn and I'm so excited for these next few months as I have so much planned which I'm so excited about. I will definitely blog it all when it happens.  That's all I have to say about why I love Autumn. Thank you for reading my blog and I'll be back again soon with another post. See you then. Happy Halloween

Image
It's the last day of October which means it's Halloween. Whether you celebrate the day or not I hope you have a great spooky day.  Whether you are out trick or treating, having a sleepover, and watching scary movies or just eating as many sweets/candy as you physically possibly can. However, you're spending the day I hope you have fun whatever it is you are doing. Even if you're working, I hope you were allowed to dress up because that might make the day even more exciting than usual.  My plans include watching a lot of Tim Burton movies which include Sweeney Todd, Edward Scissorhands, and Corpse Bride as well possibly the scariest childhood movie I've ever watched: Monster House. Trust me if you watched this as a kid, did it not terrify you because it terrified me. I haven't seen it in years, so I want to see if it's as scary. I'm not the biggest fan of scary movies anyway so you may find my choice of movies not that scary but there are no real rules fo...

Rainy Day

Image
There's nothing I love better than sitting in my room while the rain is pouring against my room. Especially as my uni room has a big window and my desk is overlooking my window so it just makes it perfect. I always love this time of year because rainy days are the perfect excuse to stay inside which is important in the current circumstances.  Autumn is definitely my favourite season because it's neither hot nor cold. Plus a few of my favourite things happen this time of year. September is the start of a new academic year which is relevant to me as I'm studying my master's degree which is definitely the start of a new beginning for me. Tomorrow is October which is my favourite month as my birthday is this Sunday so I always love October for that reason (who doesn't love their birthday month?). Then we got the excitement of Halloween at the end of October and November is exciting because of bonfire night then it's the start of the Christmas build up. Everything ju...

Graduating Today

Image
Hey guys! Today, this is going to be a rather short post but I thought I'd let you all know that I'm graduating today. I can't believe today is the day. I'm both nervous and excited. Nervous because I'm afraid I'll trip and fall (every graduates worst nightmare) but if you know me, I trip over nothing usually so this is a legitimate fear of mine. I'm also excited though because this is probably the biggest event of my life apart from my wedding (and who knows when that will ever happen) so yeah it's very exciting. I've watched a live stream of one of the other ceremonies for my university and it looks very formal. I can't wait for mine. It's not until 3pm today so I have all morning to get ready for it but I can't wait for it. Anyway, that's all I have to say for now. I thought I'd update you on this special occasion because I have blogged some of my uni experience so I may as well let you guys know the day I'm gradua...

My Skincare Routine

Image
For ages I used to never have a skincare routine. I never saw the point because I don't have oily or dry skin. I also never had acne. The only problems I had on my face was the odd spot and redness but other than that it was fine. Recently I learned about pores and realised I have bad pores on my face. I also have sensitive skin so I was always worried about putting too much product on my face. I decided to look up skincare products which work for sensitive skin. I then went out and bought some skincare products to use on a daily basis and now I'm going to show you skincare routine. 1. Face wipes I know people say wet wipes are not the best method but they work for me and I've never really had any trouble with them. Plus they're just great for a quick cleanse or to wipe makeup off. I tend to go for the face wipes which are three in one so they basically do three things to your face. This pack is from Savers. I just get the face wipes that cost about a pound becaus...

Things I Don't Regret

Image
We all have things we regret in life. I can list a lot of things that I regret. However, I don't want to think about all the things I regret because what's the point in dwelling on them to make me sad. I thought I'd make this post and share three things that I don't regret. Let's get into them: 1. I don't regret going away to university I feel like I learned a lot while going away at university. I had some amazing experiences while at university. I gained three best friends and I went on some good night outs. I also learned that you can enjoy doing things alone like going to the cinema and the theatre. I also learned how to adult by cooking for myself, laundry and other household things. While at uni I experienced my first kiss and popped  my cherry. Sorry if that's TMI  but it did happen and it was great. Plus now I have a degree to my name so that's pretty amazing. Yeah, I don't regret going to uni one bit. 2. I don't regret not ever ...

Holiday

Image
Unfortunately this is not some exciting post where I tell you I'm going away somewhere. This is just a post to say that tomorrow is the start of my first official holiday away from work which is nine days. Having worked for two months now, I feel like now is the right time to have a break from it. My life has literally been work, eat, sleep and repeat constantly. It'll be nice to have nine days off and just not have to think about work. I also have my graduation next week so that is something to look forward to. Me and my mum are heading up to Chester for three days which is something to look forward to. I'm also really nervous about falling over on stage. I know everyone fears this but honestly I trip over nothing most of the time so yeah that's one small thing I'm a little afraid of happening but I'm going to try and not think about it too much. One thing though that you can definitely count on is me posting everyday this month so I'll make sure to...

Blogging Month

Image
This November, I'm planning on blogging everyday for the whole of November. I've done this before a couple of years ago. I attempted to do it last year but failed miserable due to lack of blogging motivation. However, this year I am determined to post everyday for the entire month of November. I have plenty of posts for you guys involving beauty, lifestyle, post university and anything else I can think of. This month is also very exciting as I have my graduation on the ninth so expect a few posts related to that. I just really enjoy blogging and I encourage anyone who wants to be more regular with their posts to take up the challenge of posting everyday for an entire month. The fact that you're setting yourself the task of posting thirty blog posts is a great challenge for you because it gives you something to work on. I've already prepared a few blog posts already for the first week but I've made a list of all the blog posts I want to make for this month. ...

October So Far...

Image
My first post in October! Yay! Finally! Better late than never but I thought I'd make this post just to say hi really. I've been quite busy this month working because my life has now been taken over by work. I pretty much work five days a week and usually at times where the entire day is dedicated to work. Which is kind of one of the downsides of growing up is you kind of need a job to survive. I feel so lucky to be given a job especially after spending two months applying for loads of jobs and being turned down for them. So yeah. It also feels so good when pay day comes and I can see how much I've earned. However, most of my earnings are going into my savings because I need to save money next year for my plans to move away somewhere. (Don't know where or what I'll be doing yet but I need some money behind before I can make decisions.) So yeah, most of my October has been working. An exciting thing happened though at the beginning of October was my birthday w...

University Essentials (Things You Shouldn't Forget)

Image
As it's coming closer to the time when everyone is starting back to university. I thought, as I recently just finished university, that I would share twenty one things that you should not forget when you go to university. I'm going to base this list mostly on people who are moving away to university but I'm sure there are a few things that students living at home could take from this. 1. Laptop I know laptops can be expensive but honestly bringing your own laptop is essential because you can do assignments, watch Netflix, YouTube and other stuff. It just means you don't have to rely on using the limited number of computers in the library all the time. The only times I used the library computers was if I needed to use Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator because I didn't have them installed on my own laptop or to print something off. It's just so much convenient having your own laptop to do your work on. 2. ID (Driving Licence/Provisional/Passport) You may g...

Meh..

Image
This is just a blog post just to say meh. I'm going to be honest with you all. I didn't write a blog post ready for today and I was planning to make a blog post talking about my weekend and my trip to Cardiff on Friday and Saturday but honestly I just didn't feel like writing about it or I didn't know how to put into words about my trip. I've just kind of had one of those days where I have no motivation to do anything productive today and as the title of this post suggests I've been feeling meh. For those of you who don't know. Meh is just expressing a lack of interest and enthusiasm in something which is how I'm feeling right now. Don't get me wrong I love to blog and I'll be back to making more interesting posts tomorrow but today is just one of those posts that is pretty boring to read. However, I said at the beginning of this month that I'll be blogging everyday in November as I have done (or attempted to do) these past years...

A Gloomy Day

Image
As I write this, I'm looking out my window and it is a rather gloomy day. It's nealy six o'clock in the evening and it's gloomy. I mean look at these pictures above that I took from the windows. The words to describe these images would be gloomy, dull, dark. Honestly though, I don't mind at all about the weather outside because it means I have an excuse to be warm and relax inside with no cares or worries in the world. At this moment in time I'm watching an episode of The Apprentice and drinking a cup of coffee. Once the episode is done I plan to play a video game on my PS2 (yes I still have a PS2 at home because I just get nostalgia when I play games plus it's still just as fun as a PS3 which is back at my uni house). At the moment I'm debating to play a Harry Potter game on the PS2 because I'm in kind of a Harry Potter mood at the moment because on my train journey on Friday I was listening to Harry Potter and the Chamber...

Autumn

Image
Ah Autumn! (Or as some people call it Fall) I just love this time of the year. As much as I love the summer break and the warm weather. I personally prefer the Autumn/Winter time of the year. I suppose I like September because it's like the start of the academic year. It's like a new beginning and I guess I kind of like being distracted by university as I'm doing productive things rather than just barely doing anything. Although I've just realised that this will techinally be my last academic year as it is my final year of university. That actually feels so weird to me. I've been in education since I was about four and I have not had a break from it. When I finished sixth form two years ago, I went straight from their to university. I didn't take a gap year before uni so it's kind of weird that this is actually my last academic year. I suppose it might not be because I might decide to do a Master Degree later on but for now this is it. My final year o...
