How Do I Show Myself Love?

Image
Being single for so long, you don't get exposed to much love. Obviously you experience love from family and friends but it's not the same as a love of a partner, a boyfriend or a girlfriend. I've only ever experienced it once and even then I don't know if it was the real thing or not. It felt like it at the time but looking back I'm not so sure. Especially with how it ended. I do feel left behind sometimes because every now and then I'll see someone on Facebook with a new relationship update or they just got engaged or married or having a baby. Yet I'm nowhere near any of those things. Growing up it feels like the life goal was eventually to get nowhere near any of those things. Growing up it feels like the life goal was eventually to get married and have kids but if you failed at doing that then something was wrong with you. I know everything has changed since then and it's more acceptable to be single as we've learned relationships and marriages ca...

Things I'm Thankful For

Image
Happy Thanksgiving to all my American readers out there. Of course we don't celebrate it here in the UK as it's an American holiday but I thought I'd get in the spirit of things by listing all the things I'm thankful for.  1. My Family Of course my family means so much to me especially my mum as I live with her and she has been there for me since the day I was born. Of course I'm grateful to all my family and even though sometimes I don't speak to them on a weekly basis or see them much due to distance, they all mean so much to me and I wouldn't be the person I am without them. I love my family and I'm grateful to have them in my life. 2. My electronics This is definitely a modern age, first world thing but honestly I'd be a little lost without some of my electronics. My phone is always handy to have and my laptop is helping me to write and manage my own blog. I'm also thankful for my PS4 and television to be there during those times of boredom. ...

Motivated

I've been so motivated recently just to blog. I've discovered a new method to blogging and that is to use my iPhone notes to write my posts. I think the notes app is one of the most under appreciated apps out there but I love it. I have about fifty notes where I rant, note down important things and just write away. It's great and now I use my notes to write down my blog posts. I kind of like this style of blogging where I just type away all my thoughts and feelings that spring to mind. I'm just saying what's on my mind and being real. I have always seen my blog as my online journal and making posts like this might be seen as a relaxed approach to blogging but at the end of the day, there is no right or wrong way to blog. I'm just being me. So who cares if this is a short post? It's still a blog post at the end of the day, published on my very own blog. Thank you for reading my post and I really do appreciate anyone taking the time to read my blog. It mea...

A Little Self-Reflection

Image
For today's post, I am going to do a little self-reflection and I thought it would be nice to give you a little insight into my life and how I'm feeling. Something I need to get off my chest right now is I'm feeling a little nervous about the future. Last week, I arranged for a flat viewing (which is actually happening today when this post is going up) but the one thing that made them unsure about me was my age. They wanted applicants to be twenty four and I am twenty three years old (although I am twenty four in October). It has made me have a few doubts that things might not go well and is making me think I need to rethink my future. So yeah I am feeling a bit unsure about it all but whatever will be will be. Although I am not letting it bring me down. Maybe I will find the right flat whether that is today or another day. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I will achieve my goals. Some advice I will give myself is everything is gonna be okay. As long as I am ha...

Question Time

Image
For today's post I felt like answering a few questions. I'll leave a link below to where I got the questions from. I just felt like doing a little Q&A but I don't exactly have a big following to probably get any questions. I thought it would be just fun to answer some questions and for you guys to get to know me a little bit more. Let's get started: 1. On a scale of 1-10, how strict were your parents?  I'd say around 5 because they weren't overly strict growing up. They kind of set the boundaries as most parents do. The only thing that got on my mums nerves was I was a bit of a messy child and would struggle to clean my room when I was a kid. She'd always tell me when you're finished playing with something then put it back but I kind of played with one thing then play with another without tidying up. That's how my room would turn into a mess. I've improved a lot since them and am a lot tidier but yeah my parents weren't overly ...

A to Z

Image
I thought I'd do an list of A to Z of me. Where I list words in alphabetical order which describe me using every letter. I got inspired to do this when I read The Amazing Book Is Not On Fire by Dan Howell and Phil Lester where they did this in their book. I thought it'll be a fun idea and gives you guys a chance to get to know more about me. Let's begin: Awkward Books Clumsy Duh Excited Food Greasy Hair  Hogwarts I don't know Joke Karma Laugh Meh Nah Oops Procrastinate  Quiet Ravenclaw Stress Tired Unusual Video Games Weird Xmas YouTube Zzz... I hoped you enjoyed this really random post about me. Why not do an A to Z about yourself. Let me know how you get on. I'll be back again with tomorrow with another post. See you then. Hiding

Sometimes you just need time for yourself. I'm currently in my new house with my friends and it's going great so far. I did a grocery shop in Audi and got a lot of things for meals and of course I bought some little treats as well because sometimes you get cravings chocolate and it's okay to get some chocolate. Everybody will understand. Anyway it felt nice to be able to do my own shopping again and buy the foods I like. I get to choose what meals I can have and it's also nice to be away from home. Home can sometimes be stressful with your family nagging to get a job or lose some weight or do something out of the house. It's actually kind of hard to do that when you're living in the middle of nowhere and it's like a three mile walk to the bus stop. That's why I thought it would be nice to go and stay in my new house for a bit. Just to get away and because I can go outside and easily walk to the shops. I just get to chill out for a second and be ind...

20 Questions Tag

Image
1. Thing you cannot leave the house without I cannot leave the house without my phone. I depend so much on having my phone because it's my way I' able to contact people or find out what's going on in the world. Most people with a phone will understand. It's always in my hand normally wherever I go which is kind of bad but I always depend on it. 2. Favourite brand of makeup I love W7 makeup because it has cheap good quality make up. It's like a cheaper version of urban decays make up and it's still just as good. If there's one make up brand which I had to buy for the rest of my life it would be W7. 3. Favourite Flowers I love roses but honestly my favourites have to be tulips. Their colours are so pretty and they look so beautiful. 4. Favourite Clothing Stores My favourite clothing stores are Primark, Matalan and Asda George. I always buy clothes from there. 5. Favourite Perfume? Just Pink perfume from Next and Zoella's Blissful Mistful. ...

A day to myself

Image
Hey guys! I was awake throughout the night because I just brought myself down and I just kind of felt lost. I suppose I had an existential crisis in a way. Basically I was overthinking a lot of things which lead me to making hot chocolate and cheesy chips at one o'clock in the morning. Random but true. I guess I was feeling down at this point and all I wanted to do was just feel better or do something to cheer me up but nothing seemed to be working. I listened to music, went on to pinterest and stuff like that. I avoided social media because I really wasn't in the mood for that. Anyway, me feeling down is not the point of this blog. Well, it kind of is and it kind of isn't. We're all human after all and we all have some days where we're feeling extremely down and it's nobody else's fault. It's your own for overthinking too much. During this sleepless night of over thinking I was trying to find a way to make myself feel better. One possibly was ...
