August Favourites

Image
We've come to the end of another month, I can't quite believe it's the end of August and the end of Summer. You know what that means, it's time for a list of everything I've been loving this month. This month has a particular theme but it's what I've been loving. Let's get started Hell's Kitchen I decided to watch Hell's Kitchen this month. I was watching series 21 as it was on ITVX and I know the next two seasons were also on there. I forgot I'd watched series 21 as it had been a while but watching it I remembered I had seen it. Even though I've watched it before I still enjoyed watching it and it's just a comfort show, it's an easy watch and who doesn't love hearing Gordon Ramsay swearing left, right and centre. It's therapeutic in a weird way. Definitely something I enjoyed watching this month. Tenable This is a surprising one for me as I don't always watch quiz shows but recently I've been watching this as it...

July Favourites

The end of another month means it's time for another monthly favourites update. Let's get started. Johnson’s Baby Shampoo I was looking for a way to clean my makeup brushes and normally I’d buy a specific makeup brush cleaner. Yet those are always so expensive and I never know if they work properly. I remember ages ago on YouTube someone recommended Johnson’s baby shampoo so I decided to give it a go. All I can say is it worked perfectly. It cleans the brushes so well and because it’s a gentle shampoo I know it will be okay for my skin after cleaning my brushes with it. Plus it was very satisfying seeing the makeup coming off the brushes. Definitely something I’d be using again and again for when I clean my makeup brushes. I highly recommend it.  Bratz Rock Angelz PS2 I have a lot of ps2 games that I’ve kept for nostalgia but also because they bring back so many memories. I also am fortunate to still have my PS2 so from time to time I will play on it. I was looking through my g...

June Favourites

Image
This month, I definitely watched a lot of shows because this list will consist of three shows I watched. I couldn't think of anything else as a favourite for this month so sorry about that but these three shows I thoroughly enjoyed this month.  Let's get started. Not Going Out I recently watched old episodes of Not Going Out. It’s a series where you could watch any series and pick up what’s going on. I watched the new series recently and I was a big fan, it did have some moments that were funny but as it was mainly Lee and Lucy with the absence of Lucy’s parents, Anna and Toby. It didn’t have the same familiarity. It did have some funny moments like the Oasis and Hotel Room episodes I enjoyed. Yet it did feel like it was missing the other elements of the show. I’m aware there will be a series 15 and I kind of hope they bring back familiar faces like Lucy’s parents or any of their friends or even the children grown up. Either way this is a series I will continue to watch and rew...

May Favourites

Image
The end of another month and it's time for a favourite post of everything I've loved in May. Let's get started. The Sims 4 I always go through a phase where I'm obsessed with The Sims then all of a sudden I'll stop playing it and it will be months. This month during my creative block, I got back into playing The Sims 4 and I've been loving it. It's such a comfort game. I know it's basically looking after a sim and giving them a life. I've enjoyed levelling up the skills and building their career. I've managed to get my sim married and am now trying for a baby. I've also had a lot of fun building houses on The Sims. Creating luxury mansions that I know my Sims could never afford. Although, my Sim did earn over $160,000 so I was able to move my Sim into one of my built luxury mansions which was an achievement in itself. Plus as my Sim is currently trying for a baby, I need a bigger house. Anyway, as you can tell I've been loving The Sims 4 ...

April Favourites

The end of another month means it's time for a list of all my favourites of the month. Let's get started. Wreck This Journal by Keri Smith I saw a tiktok the other day where it showed a video of someone doing a page out of Wreck This Journal. I'd heard of it before but never actually thought of getting it. As someone who loves scrapbooking, this journal felt perfect so I spent a Christmas gift voucher and bought it. I've had so much fun so far filling out the different pages. The point is to destroy the journal but I'm a little tame at the moment. I know there's pages like taking the book in the shower or throwing it off a high ledge. Each page is like a different project. The best part is there's no right or wrong way to do the journal. You can interpret the instructions how you like and nobody can judge you. It's definitely therapeutic to do. I'm excited to keep going with this journal. Love, Rosie I watched Love, Rosie this month and I forgot how ...

March Favourites

Image
The end of another month and March has honestly flown by. I feel like after February the months just fly by so quickly that you blink and you're at the end of another month. Of course this means it's time to share with you what I've been loving this month so let's get started.  Black Mirror I was introduced to Black Mirror two years ago where an ex boyfriend showed it to me. We ended up watching 'White Bear' and 'Shut Up and Dance' which I believe are two well known episodes. They're actually similar in a sense where you feel sorry for the main character of the episode, unsure what is going on then a twist happens that changes your entire perspective. Black Mirror is a fascinating show, I haven't seen every single episode but I've seen quite a few now. It's an interesting concept because every episode is different so you don't even feel you have to watch the show in order of episode. You can start at any episode you want to. It's ...

February Favourites

Image
The end of the shortest month of the year which means it's time for a favourite post. Here is everything I've been loving in the month of February. Cheaters This is a BBC comedy that tells the story of two people that end up sleeping with each other while in Finland only when they get home realise they are neighbours. Even more shocking, one is married and one is in an eleven year relationship. The episodes are around ten minutes long and series two came out last year. This is a very raunchy series with scenes of a sexual nature so definitely not for adult viewing. It's a fun series that deals with the morality of cheating and why people end up cheating. Obviously cheating is not an answer for any relationship complications but this series definitely makes you understand why someone may cheat on their partner. It's a relatable series and has a nice use of representation in it. Definitely a series you can binge watch as the episodes are quite short which makes it easy to...

January Favourites

Image
Finally, we reach the end of January which means it's time for monthly favourites. I feel like January has gone on forever that I haven't had many favourites for this month but I wanted to share the few favourites I did have this month. Let's get started.  Better Man I saw this movie last Friday and I didn't realise how emotional it would make me. It's a biographical film of Robbie Williams. Except it has a difference. He is portrayed in a monkey form which is definitely a unique way of telling a biographical story. Yet it made a lot of sense because as Robbie Williams said himself, he doesn't feel fully evolved. This story was definitely an emotional one because it shows the rawness of his mental health and issues he's had over the years with substances. It's heartbreaking at times and I found myself crying a lot because there was a lot I could relate to in this story. It's little details because I have gone through a lot of fights with myself menta...

December Favourites

Image
Well, here we are. The last post of 2024. I can't quite believe we're at the end of the year. It just flew by this year and I feel like so much has happened this year. As is an end of the month tradition on this blog, here are all the things I've been loving this month. Let's get started. Blood Brothers I watched this musical in the Palace Theatre in Manchester at the end of last month and I honestly fell in love with it. I downloaded the album and I've been listening to it on repeat. It's such a unique story, how two brothers are separated at birth and go on to live two separate lives in different social classes but yet they don't let that stop their friendship. It has the innocence of childhood to growing into your teenage years to facing the reality of adulthood. It's such a sweet but also heartbreaking story. I even went and bought the book to read so I can relive the story again as well as watching clips on YouTube. I'm so fascinated by it that ...

November Favourites

Image
It's that time of the month again where I share everything I've been loving this month. I can't quite believe we're at the end of November and December is tomorrow. It's crazy how quickly this year has gone. Anyway, let's get started with my favourites for this month. Cluedo I've been obsessed with this game this month. I've been playing it on my phone but I also discovered it on Playstation and knew I had to get it. Even more exciting was getting the achievements on it which is always a bonus for me when it comes to video games. It's just self satisfaction for me to get as many Playstation trophies as I can. I love Cluedo although I've never actually played the board game. I've only ever played the mobile or Playstation version but it's just fun and every game is different obviously because the card choices are pretty random. I like playing it online because it makes it more interesting but the AI computers are alright as well even if th...

October Favourites

Image
The end of another month and that means it's time to share what I've been loving this month. Let's get started. Not For Broadcast I was looking for a new game to play and I came across this one on the PlayStation store. It’s where you are a tv broadcaster and you’re controlling the news. I didn’t know what to make of it at first but when I started getting into the story, I loved it. There’s so many paths you can go down with this game and it has multiple endings. I love those kinds of games because each play through is different. You also learn of details that all start to make sense with each path you take. I’ve been trying to achieve the trophies as well as get multiple endings and so far each play through has given me a different ending which is great. It’s definitely a fun game and also has different levels of difficulty but I go with the story mode difficulty because it’s less stressful. This was a game that I hadn’t heard of before but when I got it, I really enjoyed ...

September Favourites

Image
Here we are at the end of another month and so it's time for another monthly favourite. As you're reading this I'm currently on a plane flying back from Las Vegas which I'm going to do a whole post on in October because that was a once in a lifetime trip. It meant that I had to write this post slightly earlier than I normally would so that it goes out on time. Anyway, let's get started with my favourites of the month. McFly This month reminded me of how much I love my favourite band McFly and I also saw them live in Manchester which was honestly incredible. Twenty years I've loved them and I honestly can't believe I saw them live for the first time this month. They are such good performers and honestly, I had the best time even though it poured with rain while I was there. It was so good. I was singing along to all their songs. I even prepared a playlist before I went from a previous set list which really helped and made me discover songs I hadn't heard ...

August Favourites

Image
It's the end of the month and you know what that means. A favourite post of all the things I've been loving in August. It seems to be mainly TV shows and movies I've been enjoying this month but August is the month to chill out so it makes sense. Anyway, let's get started. I'm In The Band I've been meaning to watch this show for the longest time but it was never on Disney plus and I couldn't find it anywhere to buy. Then one day I was on the iTunes store and decided to look it up which is when I found all forty one episodes. I was so excited that I made a mature decision and bought the entire series. That way I can rewatch the series. It's a series I loved watching when I was a teenager because it was on Disney XD and the humour was definitely for the teenagers and older. Even now I still laugh at it because it has so much slapstick in it and I love slapstick. Plus it's a show about a rock band so it has adult characters, the teenager bits are a litt...
