Skincare Routine

I was just doing my daily skincare routine and thought it's been a whole year since I shared my skincare routine. I looked back on it and saw some things are different and some are the same so I thought I'd give you my updated version of my skincare routine.

The best part is it's only five steps so let's get started.
1. Facial Wash
This is honestly my favourite facial wash ever. It's the Garnier Anti-Blemish Gentle Gel Wash. Now I have sensitive skin as you'll noticed in this routine because my skincare loves to flare up if I go too crazy. However my skin doesn't flare up with this nor does it dry out my skin. It's just the right balance and I feel like it's helping my blemishes while also washing my face. The gel just feels so nice with a splash of cold water on my face, it's perfect way to wake me up.
2. Toner
This is a toner I bought recently while I was in lockdown at home and ran out of toner. It's the L'OrĂ©al Paris Fine Flowers Toner. As you can tell from the amount left, I've used this almost every day. It just feels nice on the skin and I feel it does the job. I also discovered it works as a make up remover too so it's perfect for the evening too. I'm definitely glad I bought this and I think I will be purchasing it again when I run out.
3. Serum
Now I never really used serum much in the past because I wasn't sure what it was for. This is the Rosvanee Retinol Serum which is anti aging (yes I'm getting to that age where I need anti aging products) and helps with skin repair, acne, fine lines and wrinkles. It's just nice to put on my face and I feel since using it my skin has improved. It also contains Vitamin C & E which a lot of people say is good for the skin so it must be useful.
4. Eye Cream
If you don't have an eye cream as part of your skincare routine then you must be mad. I'm joking. To be fair I never had an eye cream for the longest time but now I can't see myself without an eye cream. I've gone through eye creams, not sure which one is working yet but this is a recent buy. It's the Simple Revitalising Eye Roll-on. I've been liking the application of this one compared to other eye creams as it's a roll on metal ball that you glide over your under eyes so there's no fear of too much product with this one. I have been liking this eye cream so far so I think it's a keeper for now. We shall have to see if there's any improvement to my under eye area.
5. Moisturiser
It should come as no surprise that I'm still using the same moisturiser I use for every single one of these skincare routine posts but honestly I love this moisturiser. It's the Simple Protecting Light Moisturiser with SPF 15. It's just nice to have a moisturiser with a little bit of SPF in it even though I live in Britain and the sunshine is rare but it feels so good on my skin. I know I've mentioned Simple products a lot in this post (I'm not sponsored by them sadly) but I believe they are the best when it comes to sensitive skin. If you're like me whose skin can flare up in a second, I would recommend using Simple products as they are not so harsh. Another sensitive skin tip I have is wait 10 minutes after each products that way it gives your skin time to adjust and let the product sink in before you slap on another product. This tip has definitely helped me out a lot.

So yeah there is my updated skincare routine. Let me know what your skincare staples are and let's help each other out. Our skin is very important and while some may think a skincare routine is pointless, your future self will be thanking you for sticking to a skincare routine.

Anyway, that's all I have to say for now. Thank you for reading my blog and I'll be back soon with another post.

See you then.
