No Regrets

Yesterday was all about my regrets so today I thought I'd flip the switch into a more positive way and share four things I don't regret in my life.
Let's get started:

1. Going to university (Twice)
One thing that I'm really happy I did was my bachelor's degree and masters. I feel I learned so much and I really enjoyed both courses I did. I feel I learnt a lot of skills and my confidence grew in what I can do. I learned I have a more of a creative mind and found myself doing way better than I ever could imagine. I always felt myself being an average student but leaving university with a 2:1 and merit grades which is the second highest grades is incredible. I can forever have that on my resume for the rest of my life that I have two degrees. I met some lovely people while I went to university and got to live on my own as well which was great. I definitely learned how to be independent while I was at university and it's definitely something I don't regret.

2. My love life
This may be surprisingly, but I don't regret my love life. Although I shouldn't really call it a love life because I've never been loved by another man. Not yet anyway. I'm happier that I did eventually get to experience my first kiss at the age of 21 and I also got to experience heartbreak. One thing though that I'm kind of glad about, particularly the two exes I've had is that it wasn't anything official. As much as I wanted it to be at the time, I think the heartbreak would have been much worse if it was an official relationship. I feel I've grown and learned from my exes. I know I'm worth so much more than 'just a bit of fun' and hopefully one day I will find that man who will want to be with me for me and not just my body. I know that if I ever do get my first boyfriend that it will be the real thing. Either way I don't regret my love life and remain hopeful about it to this day.

3. The people in my life
While I may not have many friends or a boyfriend. One thing I don't regret is the people that are in my life. I may only have one friend I speak to and a guy I'm dating but I'm glad they're in my life because I know I can talk to them. I also have my mum who is like my best friend because I do almost everything with her mainly because we live together but she is the best mum in the world, and I love her to bits. I'm glad I have a close bond with my brother. He may be a pain in the ass and annoy me but he's still my brother and I know I can always go to him about anything. There's also my dad and his partner as well as my other siblings. They all mean a lot to me and make the person I am today. Speaking of which that moves on nicely to the final thing I don't regret.

4. Who I am
Writing these two posts about the things I regret and don't regret; I realise they all contribute in some way to the person I am. To be honest there may be a lot of things I wish I could change about myself but at the end of the day, I'm happy with who I am inside. Yes, I have faults (who doesn't?) but I know who I am. I can be sarcastic, moody, funny, and just plain weird. I have random taste in music, movies and shows as well as video games. I'm an introverted, shy, awkward human being. I have a big obsession with books and harry potter. I don't have much of a social life or many friends. Never had a boyfriend but who cares because I am me. There's only one of me and so yes, I may have regrets and things I don't regret but I am who I am and that's all that matters at the end of the day. I don't regret who I am.

So there you have it. Those are four things I don't regret. I'm sure there are many more, but I don't want this list going on forever. Let me know something you don't regret in the comments below. I'd love to hear them.

Thank you for reading my blog and I'll be back tomorrow with another post.

See you then.
