A Book Haul

As someone who is currently reading two books at the moment which are The Burnout by Sophie Kinsella and As Old As Time by Liz Braswell. I only have two more books left on my bookshelf so I thought I'd look into getting some new books. That's exactly what I've done with three new books on my bookshelf that I'm very excited to read and thought I'd share with you today in a book haul.

Let's get started.
The Happiest Ever After by Milly Johnson
Something I've really been trying to do is branch out and read different author's books and so far it's paid off as I've been thoroughly pleased with my findings. This is no exception and honestly I'm really excited to give this book a read as I can relate how heartedly to it. It's about Polly who is currently having a rough time at the moment with an awful boss and her partner ended up cheating on her. One thing she does love is writing her novel where she's created a more successful version of herself. However, after an accident she ends up living her novel version of herself and finds herself living a new life. I love these kinds of stories where it's a chance for the main character to live a different life. I've read books before like In Five Years, Remember Me and Again but Better where there is an alternative timeline that takes place in the middle of the book and I really love it because it's interesting to me and I almost wish I could do that sometimes where I live in an alternative timeline. I'm really excited to get into this book as it already sounds like the perfect read for me.
The Reappearance of Rachel Price by Holly Jackson
If you've seen my Goodreads profile then you know this year I've read four of Holly Jackson's books and when this was on my Amazon recommended I couldn't resist preordering it. All I know about this book is that it is a standalone novel and not tied in with A Good Girl's Guide To Murder trilogy. It's about eighteen year old Bel who has lived her life dealing with her mom Rachel Price's mysterious disappearance sixteen years ago and young Bel was the only witness to. The case is brought up again when a true crime documentary decides to look into the case but just as when it's about to come to an end, Rachel Price reappears and life will never be the same again. Already just from reading the blurb I'm excited to read this as it's got a lot of things that I enjoy. True crime documentaries and a case that has an unexpected twist. I've really enjoyed Holly Jackson's books so far so I'm really looking forward to getting into this one too.
How To Kill A Guy In Ten Ways by Eve Kellman
I bought this book yesterday in Tesco as the title alone intrigued me and I also thought it would be a funny sight to read this in public. Even my mum was slightly concerned about this but I said it's not a step by step guide, it's a story. This one is another true crime themed book, obviously, and it's actually relatable in some respects. It's about the world of online dating where you're not quite sure about someone or you're a woman walking home alone at night then the answer is to message M. The story is about Millie Masters who has had one too many terrifying encounters decides to set up up a hotline for women to message if they're feeling creeped out or unsafe while out on their own. However, soon she realises there's more to be done to help keep women safe after her own sister is a victim on the night out. That's when Millie can't resist the temptation that her hotline M could also stand for murder. This brings us perfectly to the title of the book and honestly I cannot wait to have a read of this as a book I read How To Kill Your Family by Bella Mackie which I loved. This book is giving me similar vibes to it so I'm really excited to have a read of this one especially as it's an author I've not read before.

There we have it. That's my little book haul and I'm so excited to read these three books. Let me know if you've read any of them and write down what you thought of them in the comments below but no spoilers please as I don't want to be spoiled.

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and I'll be back again soon with another post for you.

See you then.
