Going Out Prep

Last week on Friday I went on a night out for the first time in forever and it got me thinking about what is the best way to get ready for a night out. I thought I'd share with you my own personal insight into how I get ready for a night out on the town.

Let's get started.
The first thing I like to do when getting ready for a night out is have a bath. A shower is quick and easy but I feel with a bath I could do a full pamper session of washing my hair, body, shaving and doing a face mask. Just anything to prep my skin ready for a night out on the town and my most crucial part of a night out is making sure I smell good. That's why I always have to have a bath before going out on a night out.
While I'm getting ready, I always like to have a cheeky pre-drink to get me in the mood and my drink of choice is always rum and coke. More specifically this was Malibu which is one of my favourite rums.
The first part of getting ready is doing my hair. First I have to dry it with my TRESemme hair dryer which I've had for years now and I just blow dry it to make sure it's all voluminous ready for the next step which is curling my hair. I like to use my Lee Stafford corkscrew wand as it gives really nice ringlet curls. Although, I decided to go without heat gloves when I was doing it and ended up burning my wrist while curling my hair which has reminded me to never make that mistake again. The hair turned out really nice though and very voluminous though so there was a silver lining in the end.
Now is time for my favourite part of getting ready for a night out and it's the makeup. I always like trying something different to my everyday look. On this particular night I went for a blue eyeshadow look which I was really proud of. The palette I used was one I got from Amazon by Prism Makeup called Fantasy which has lots of different colourful shades in it.
Finally, it's time to get my going out bag. This is a clutch with a strap that you can put over your shoulder. It was one bought over ten years ago from Amazon. I absolutely love it for a night out because it surprisingly fits a lot but it's easy to hold and you can put it over your shoulder. I just have a few essentials like my purse, phone, lipgloss and tissues in there which is pretty much all I need for a night on the town.

There we have it. That is how I prepare for a night out. My favourite part is definitely doing my makeup. Let me know what your favourite part of getting ready for a night out is. I would love to hear it in the comments below.

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and I'll be back soon with another post.

See you then.
