August Favourites

We've come to the end of another month, I can't quite believe it's the end of August and the end of Summer. You know what that means, it's time for a list of everything I've been loving this month. This month has a particular theme but it's what I've been loving.

Let's get started

Hell's Kitchen
I decided to watch Hell's Kitchen this month. I was watching series 21 as it was on ITVX and I know the next two seasons were also on there. I forgot I'd watched series 21 as it had been a while but watching it I remembered I had seen it. Even though I've watched it before I still enjoyed watching it and it's just a comfort show, it's an easy watch and who doesn't love hearing Gordon Ramsay swearing left, right and centre. It's therapeutic in a weird way. Definitely something I enjoyed watching this month.

Tenable
This is a surprising one for me as I don't always watch quiz shows but recently I've been watching this as it's been on in the day, particularly when I'm hanging out with my partner. It's interesting and I love guessing the possible ten answers. Plus Warwick Davies is a great host. This is a surprising entry for me but I've been thoroughly enjoying watching Tenable and always get excited when it's on, especially when I'm with my partner. 

The Chase
Another quiz show, can you tell I watched a lot of quiz shows this month? I only watch them when I'm with my partner. Whenever we're flicking through the channels and see that The Chase is on, we're like yes. We have a go at answering the questions and it's just fun. Plus it's satisfying when you get the answer right, especially when you don't even know what the question is. This month I've definitely enjoyed two quiz shows but I think these two are pretty great. 

Don't Let Him In By Lisa Jewell
This was my favourite read of this month because I got so invested from start to finish. I didn't know where all this was heading and we had different perspectives which I thought would be confusing but as you read it, it makes a lot of sense. It follows the lives of several women who have something in common which is a man. They all think he is this charming perfect man but this man is living several different lives with different names. It's crazy how he can keep up with his lies. Honestly, this was so good and I couldn't put it down. I've only ever read one Lisa Jewell book before which was Watching You which I loved and I loved this one also. Her books have so many twists and turns, honestly it's great. It even inspired me to get another book of hers which is None Of This Is True which I'm so excited to read. Yeah this book was definitely my favourite read of this month as I couldn't put it down and read it within two days.

There we have it, those are my favourites for the month. I know it's not much but honestly I couldn't really think of anything else I enjoyed this month to add to my favourites list.

Planning for the future is probably one of the most scariest things. Especially when you have an end goal but have no idea how to achieve that goal. Of course many things can go wrong and you're kind of terrified to take that risk. That's how I'm feeling right now. I have the whole Christmas and New Year off which is essentially going to be spent planning what I'm going to do next. I want to move out of my mum's house by February. Here we are, the fifth month of the year and we’re flying through this year already. I’m very excited because at the end of this month I’m on holiday in Majorca with my family. It’s very exciting because I always love going away on holiday. There’s also two bank holidays this month which is even more exciting.  Other than that I don’t really have a lot planned for this month. I’ve got family staying this weekend. I’m hoping to work on my novel this month as I haven’t really had much of a chance recently. It feels like I’ve been so busy with work and I haven’t really had much time for myself. That’s all going to change this month. This month is a new month, new me. I’m feeling positive about this month as I’ve had a few meh months these past couple of months but now it’s onwards and upwards.  Looking forward to it all. Things That Make Me Happy

I thought I'd share five things that make me happy because it's good to have things in your life that make you happy and these are mine. Let's get started.  Driving My Own Car I honestly love driving my car. It's a great feeling just being able to get in my car and go anywhere. I love listening to music in my car because when I drive, I'm singing along and it's a great feeling. It's therapeutic. When I first got my car, it made me nervous but as long as you know what you're doing and go at your pace. Plus remain focused then you'll be fine. It gives you so much freedom and independence when you drive and honestly, I don't know what I did before I had my own car.  Playing a video game I don't know why but getting invested in a good video game is something that really makes me happy.
