Day In My Life (Travel Edition)
I thought I’d share a photo journal of a day in my life but it’s a little bit different as I was travelling to Manchester on this day. Let’s get started:
My day starts like any other, just waking up in my bed.
The first thing I always do is make myself coffee because I can't function in the mornings without it.
I decided to have a shower because I like to freshen up before travelling anywhere.
After I use VO5 Heat Protectant on my hair before drying my hair with my Tresemme hairdryer.
While I’m getting ready I decided to watch one of my favourite movies which is The Intern. To me it’s such a comfort movie and always brings me joy when I watch it. I just love it.
I did my makeup after I dried my hair and decided to go wild and go for a blue eyeshadow. Sometimes I love trying different colours for my eyeshadow because we all need a little colour in our lives.
I then make sure I have everything in my suitcase and also pack my makeup bag in it.
Finally once I’m ready, it’s time to head to the station.
We always like to get the train to Manchester because we only have to change once. It was a smooth journey and I always love that feeling of being on a train going away somewhere.
I took the opportunity to continue reading my book With Love from the Morisaki Bookshop by Satoshi Yagisawa. It’s actually a duopoly of Days at the Morisaki Bookshop and More Days at the Morisaki Bookshop. I’ve loved it so far and I managed to finish the first so I’ve started reading the second. The first book was so good and really heart warming. I loved it and I’m excited to read the second one.
We changed trains and on the second train I decided to watch Friends on my tablet. I downloaded episodes of the first season. I recently watched the season finale of Friends and it made me want to watch the entire series. I’ve watched the entire series once before and I thought as I was running out of things to watch, why not rewatch Friends so that’s what I started doing on my train journey.
When we got to Piccadilly station, we always went to All Bar One upstairs as it gives up time to kill time especially with our suitcases and also I was hungry. I ordered the loaded nachos which had pulled pork, Sriracha sauce, guacamole, jalapeño, salsa, sour cream and cheese. My only critique was I wish there was more cheese on there but it was still really tasty.
We then walked through the city and got to our hotel. We stayed in the Holiday Inn Express by Oxford Road. The first thing I always go is to unpack especially when we’re staying for two nights, I like to make the room feel like home.
Once we were settled we decided to go Primark as I always take an opportunity to visit Primark whenever I’m in Manchester. I bought a few little bits and pieces.
After shopping, we decided to chill for a bit and ended up watching The Chase.
We then made our way to Whitefield where we went to Porada for Italian food.
To start I had the Pate Della Porada which was very nice and light.
For main, I had the Tagliatelle Marinara which was really tasty.
Finally for pudding I had the Crème Catalana which was light and tasty.
After the restaurant, we got the tram back to the city centre and walked back to our hotel.
While we were waiting for the lift I decided to take a photo of this chandelier as I thought it was pretty cool.
When we got back to the room, we were just in time for the ITV+1 Coronation Street so we watched that.
After Corrie, I was honestly pretty tired from the day so I decided to go to sleep.
That was my day of my life. It was pretty different to my usual day in my life but it was a really lovely day.
Thank you for taking time to read my blog and I’ll be back again soon with another post.
See you then.
