May Favourites
The end of another month and it's time for a favourite post of everything I've loved in May. Let's get started.
The Sims 4
I always go through a phase where I'm obsessed with The Sims then all of a sudden I'll stop playing it and it will be months. This month during my creative block, I got back into playing The Sims 4 and I've been loving it. It's such a comfort game. I know it's basically looking after a sim and giving them a life. I've enjoyed levelling up the skills and building their career. I've managed to get my sim married and am now trying for a baby. I've also had a lot of fun building houses on The Sims. Creating luxury mansions that I know my Sims could never afford. Although, my Sim did earn over $160,000 so I was able to move my Sim into one of my built luxury mansions which was an achievement in itself. Plus as my Sim is currently trying for a baby, I need a bigger house. Anyway, as you can tell I've been loving The Sims 4 this month and I'm looking forward to playing it some more.
Glow Up
I love this TV series because I enjoy watching the contestants do their makeup and fulfil the creative briefs. I used to love watching getting ready with me videos on YouTube and this show is basically like that plus I've learned a lot of great makeup tips from this show. It's inspired me to be more creative with my makeup, I'm even going out in colourful eyeshadow because why not. My favourite is either a blue smokey eye or purple. It's a lot of fun. The new series is currently on BBC iPlayer so I've been watching it every Wednesday and loving it. It's honestly such a therapeutic show and I love it.
Friday Night Dinner
I feel like I rewatch this series every year but it's such a fun and relatable series. I started watching it after Paul Ritter had sadly passed away so I was a late comer to the series. Yet since then I don't know why I never watched it before. It perfectly shows family life especially as an adult and visiting your parents house. It's full of iconic quotes and moments. It's a series that never gets old and I'd never get bored of. When I rewatch it, it will take me less than a week to finish the series because that's how good it is. A series I've definitely enjoyed watching this month and will continue to watch every year.
Danielle Kirsty
One of my guilty pleasures in life is watching true crime videos because I get fascinated by different cases. I mainly want to know how the police figured it out but also the motive behind the cases. Why are criminals the way they are? One YouTuber I love watching is Danielle Kirsty. I love the way she talks about the cases because she goes into so much detail of each case and doesn't hold back on her opinions on the criminals. Plus she does her makeup while discussing the case which I honestly love the way she does her makeup especially her eyeshadow. It's another thing that inspires me to do colourful eyeshadow looks. Plus she is so respectful in her storytelling in her victims case. I've recently been rewatching a lot of her videos because I'm pretty sure I've watched every single one of her videos. Mainly to be more aware of cases and the fact that these are real people that have gone through these things. I know watching true crime videos seems like a weird guilty pleasure but I mainly watch them to be educated and aware of all these different cases. I highly recommend watching Danielle Kirsty if you're interested in watching True Crime cases because she is honestly my favourite true crime YouTuber and I've been loving rewatching her videos this month.
There we have it. Those are all my favourites of the month. Let me know what you've been loving this month in the comments below, I'd love to hear it. Thank you for taking the time to view my blog and I'll be back again soon with another post.
See you then.
