Christmas Movie Day

You know what can easily get anyone in the mood for Christmas is spending a day watching Christmas movies. I did this recently and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I ended up watching three movies in one day and it honestly felt really good and made me want to get the Christmas decorations up. I thought I'd share what I did during my Christmas movie day. Let's get started.
Honestly the ideal Christmas movie day is having some popcorn and hot chocolate with the mini marshmallows. That's exactly what I did as it makes the movie day even more special and makes you feel like you're at the cinema.
The first movie I watched was one of my favourites, The Holiday. This is a cosy film about two women who swap homes in order to find themselves and get away from their real life but end up meeting two men that change their whole perspective. It's a feel good, happy movie with a great cast and always a favourite to watch not just at Christmas but all year round.
The next one is a fairly new Christmas movie which came out in 2019. I remember watching this in a cinema. It's a relatable film about a woman who works in a dead end job and is estranged with her family. She ends up meeting a man who ends up changing her perspective in life. It's a very sweet film that is both warm but also heart wrenching at points. It reminds you that life is short and we should make the most of each day, not just at Christmas but all year round. Definitely a sweet watch and I would recommend it if you've not seen it.
The final movie I watched is a classic but a firm favourite of mine which is The Muppet Christmas Carol. Honestly, this is a great adaptation of the classic Christmas Carol. Michael Caine as Scrooge is honestly the best casting choice. He plays it so well and you forget that he is playing alongside the Muppets. It adds a bit of humour to the classic story but also nails the serious points of the film. It's a cosy film and honestly, it's not a Christmas movie day without watching an adaptation of a Christmas Carol.

There we have it, that was my Christmas movie day and definitely put me in the mood for Christmas. I would highly recommend on your next day off, have a lazy day and watch Christmas movies. It's a good feeling and really gets you in the mood for Christmas.

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and I'll be back again tomorrow with another post.

See you then.
