She Believed She Could So She Did

On this day in Wales, it was particularly rainy day and my guess almost the last few fragments of Storm Eunice and the beginning of Storm Franklin. The weather is bleak and miserable outside which meant it was the perfect time to read a book. I find the sound of the wind and rain almost relaxing especially when you're inside and the perfect background noise to a good book.

I was shopping yesterday and went into Waterstones. I was looking for a book for ages and thought maybe I can't find one. Then I saw this colourful pretty book with one of my favourite quotes on the front.

'She Believed She Could So She Did'

I knew right there I had to pick it up and have a look at it.

It's a modern woman's guide to life and it's by Sam Lacey. I had a flick through and a read of the back. I thought why not and as it is my determination to always buy a book when I'm in a bookstore was when I bought it.

I started having a read of it in the car and I was hooked. It starts off by talking about these inspiring women and things they have achieved whether it's going to space, climbing Mount Everest, or leading one of the most successful brands of all time. It's really inspiring.

The second part talks about being your own woman. Learning to love yourself and put yourself first from time to time as well as learning how to say no thank you. It also talks about the little things you can do to better yourself like spending less time online or committing to a new hobby to better your skills.

The third part is about achieving and succeeding. Whether it's switching up your career or volunteering to a good cause. It offers advice on how to learn how to make your life just a little bit better to how it is at the moment.

The final part is giving a little respect to yourself. Whether it's accepting your flaws or not dwelling on the negative or little things you can't change. Sometimes you need to make little changes to make you feel good about yourself.

This book is filled with inspiring quotes from inspiring women and is honestly an easy read. It's definitely not like those long winded self-help books where you're reading long winded self-help books where you're reading long pages and being filled with lots of information. It is full of paragraphs that you can easily read but have some inspiring information that really make you think. You can read this book over and over or just pick a part of the book you want to help better yourself.

Honestly, it was well written book filled with wonderful illustrations and quotes. It inspired me to be better towards myself and I'd highly recommend it to anyone who is feeling very doubtful of themselves. You will not regret picking this book up.

That's all I have to say on the book. Thank you for reading my blog and I'll be back again soon with another post.

See you then.
