Beating Winter Blues

Christmas is supposed to be the happiest time of the year as there is jolly music playing, lots of treats to eat and time to spend with loved ones. However, there are those days where you reflect on things and have days where you feel down.

Perhaps you're single and surrounded by happy couples wishing just once that could be you. Maybe the family is putting a lot of pressure this Xmas whether it's to visit, make sure everything is perfect or just be a real Scrooge about everything.

If you feel like you're on your own with these winter blues. You're not. Lots of people go through these days, weeks, or even months of just feeling down during this time of year. It's okay to not feel so great. Just remember you can spend Xmas however you choose. Who cares if you're not going to have a turkey roast on Xmas day. Break tradition and have a burger or pasta. Whatever your favourite dish is, have it on Xmas day. You don't have to have it with family, ask your friends or even spend it on your own. Make Xmas your own special day. There's no pressure to have the perfect Xmas. Make it your own and just enjoy yourself. Remember you should put yourself first especially when it comes to your mental health. You can beat these winter blues and make yourself happier this time of year. Get rid of any toxic people from your life and just enjoy yourself.

I know this was a short little post but I wanted to give you guys a little motivation to beat those winter blues. You can do it.

Thank you for reading my blog and I'll be back tomorrow with another post.

See you then.
