Date Ideas

Going on dates is fun but sometimes it's hard to think of new dates and ideas on where to go. Sometimes you don't want to do the same old, same old dates so I thought I'd share some suggestions of date ideas you can do with either your partner, friend or even on your own if you're brave enough. Let's get started.

Cinema Date
I actually went on my first cinema date a few weeks ago and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I always love any chance of going to the cinema and I'm used to doing it either by myself or with my mum usually. This time though I got to experience it with my boyfriend which was nice. We spent the majority of it holding hands and eating popcorn. It's just a fun way to spend time together, obviously you don't do much talking but it's fun to experience a movie together. It's a good movie too, it makes it all better. I highly recommend going on a cinema date.

Dinner Date
I'm not talking about going to a fancy restaurant together for dinner. Of course you can do that but I'm talking about just getting food together anytime, anywhere. Whether it's getting a takeaway and eating it at home or even in the car. Even just grabbing some snacks to enjoy in the evening. Food on a date is a must for me but it doesn't have to be expensive or extravagant. It can be as simple as getting a sausage roll from Greggs. Make time to have food dates with your partner because you both need to eat and food always makes the mood better. The annoying part is figuring out what to eat but sometimes saying the first thing that comes to mind can make it all worthwhile. There's nothing wrong with going out for a meal in a restaurant with your partner but sometimes the best dates are the simple pleasures like a chinese takeaway.

Arcade Date
Honestly, going to an arcade with your partner is one of the best dates because it's so laid back. You can have fun, get competitive at times and win lots of tickets. Plus if you go to the same arcade, you can actually save the tickets you've won as a lot of them can last for up to a year. Currently my partner and I have 7000 tickets to cash in but we're saving them for a good prize. To be honest we haven't been to the arcade in a while but the next time we'll go then we'll have a good prize to cash in. Honestly, an arcade date is a great way to break the ice but also have fun with your partner.

Bowling Date
Again similar to the arcade, going bowling is fun with your partner because you can both get competitive but also have fun. It may be a cliche date but there's a reason for it and it's fun. You let off some steam and can get a little competitive but also just have a laugh with your favourite person. It's simple but a good one to do with your partner.

Stay At Home date
Honestly, sometimes staying at home with your partner is enough. You can enjoy food in the comfort of your own home or your partner's home if you don't live together. Plus you can watch a movie, play video games or buy a game for you both to play. You can also have endless cuddles and just spend some quality time together. You can even start watching a series together. Like my partner, we started watching Brooklyn Nine Nine because I've never watched it. Been meaning too but never got around to watching it but now everytime I go there, we watch an episode. I save watching it for when I'm with him because it's nice to watch it with company. We also have been watching other series too and we switch between them and it's just nice. We get a few snacks in or get a take away and watch it together. Those kinds of dates I think I enjoy most because I can wear my comfy clothes, chill out and spend some quality time with my favourite person.

Road Trip Date
There's nothing like going on an adventure with your partner. Sometimes just spending time in the car, listening to your favourite songs and chatting away is an ideal date. I've been on many road trips with my partner and it's been great. We have a laugh and we're usually on our way somewhere. Even just driving to the supermarket is fun but also going somewhere new is even better. The road trip doesn't have to be major like cross country, it can be as simple as a half an hour drive away. You can make a road trip on your own but it's also nice to do it with your special someone. Definitely consider going on a road trip date with your partner and just have fun with it.

There we have it, those are my date ideas that you should definitely try it.

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and I'll be back tomorrow with another post.

See you then.
