Junk Journaling
I feel like this year has been a year of scrapbooking and wreck this journal, now I’ve discovered a new hobby. Junk journaling. I feel like Instagram has inspired me to do this because my for you page is literally full of scrapbooking but then it started recommending junk journaling. I was definitely inspired while on my trip to Ireland which caused me to basically keep all momentos and ‘trash’ which I’m glad I did because when I got to making my spreads I had options to choose from.
To be honest, years ago I used to scrapbook memories except that this is more overdrive because now I’m also keeping things like crisp packets, packaging and receipts. Honestly the one thing I love about junk journaling is that it doesn’t have to be perfect. Mainly because it’s just going to be you that will probably read it unless you’re like me who is currently sharing snippets of her junk journal with you right now. Yet who cares how perfect it is. I think the more imperfect the better.
Here are a few snippets of my junk journaling that I started very recently. I bought an A4 sketchbook from Home Bargains and just went to town with my junk.
It’s not perfect but I have fun creating these pieces and that’s all that matters. It’s a hobby that brings me joy, which is the point of having a hobby. I’m looking forward to collecting trash and other mementos to put in my junk journal.
That’s all I have to say on my new hobby. Let me know if you’ve ever started junk journaling or scrapbooking, I’d love to hear all about it.
Thank you for taking the time to view my blog and I’ll be back again soon with another post.
See you then.
