Cosy Little Hobbies
Recently I’ve had a few little hobbies that I’ve been enjoying and I thought I’d share them with you to give a try this Autumn. Let’s get started.
Scrapbooking
Honestly I love scrapbooking. I gained love from watching videos online of people doing it and I was in love. I love creating different spreads in my scrapbooks. I’ve already filled one and I’m halfway through filling two more. It’s honestly so therapeutic and it helps me to pass the time. I can watch a video or listen to music while I do it and I’m in the zone. It’s also nice because there’s no real rules to scrapbooking. It doesn’t have to be perfect and you can do whatever you want with it. You can create themes or just do what you think works. It’s entirely up to you and that’s why I love it.
Wreck this Journal
Similar to the previous but slightly different in other ways. I got one of these ages ago and filled it but I never completed it. I recently got one in colour and I love it. Every day I’ve been doing a different prompt and honestly it’s great. You can interpret the prompt however you like. There’s no right or wrong answer. I’ve also been inspired by other videos of people interpreting the pages and put my own twist on it. Honestly I highly recommend giving it a try as it’s definitely something to pass the time and let your creative mind wonder.
Reading
I love getting into a really good book. The best kind of book is the one you can’t put down and want to get back to as soon as possible. I love those kinds of books that really grip you into them. I read them a lot recently with books like Lisa Jewell who has written some books that make you not want to put them down and you want to know what happens next after every chapter. I like to get lost in the world of a book and reading good books always reminds me why I love reading.
Video games
Another escapism hobby but playing video games is something I like to pass the time with because I like getting lost in the game play. Collecting trophies on the Playstation but most of all I like replaying games I’ve played numerous times. Even though I’ve played them so many times, I know exactly what happens and all the secrets but I still have fond memories of replaying them again. Like recently I decided to play Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets on the PS2 because it’s one of my favourite cosy games. Even though I know it inside and out. I just love it and am reminded of when I first played it without any walkthroughs. Like there’s a part of a game where you have to find lost items and there was one particular book I had no idea where it was so I ran around every inch of the map until I found it which I was over the moon when I did find it. That was all without online walkthroughs, now whenever I find that item I’m reminded of how hard I worked to find it originally. It’s a weird happy memory to have but it makes me happy when I get nostalgic about old video games.
Anyway, those are my cosy little hobbies I’ve been enjoying a lot recently. Let me know if you have any hobbies that you’ve been loving recently. I would love to hear it.
Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and I’ll be back again soon with another post.
See you then.
