Manchester

One of my favourite places to travel to in the UK is Manchester. It's a city I love so much and always get excited for the opportunity to go whenever I can. It was an interesting travel experience as we had a bus replacement on half the journey but the train ride was still lovely. There's always lots of nice views to see on the journey from Wales to Manchester.
It was raining a lot in Manchester so I made lots of good use of the Arndale to keep myself dry. Of course it's not ideal but as the typical British weather hits us we just have to keep calm and carry on as they say. Just put our coats on and deal with it.
Stayed in the Travelodge in Salford Quays and it was very comfortable. Honestly this is the comfiest bed I've slept on for the longest time. I had a room to myself so it meant I had the whole king size bed to myself and it was honestly great. Ended up watching the I'm Celebrity finale on Sunday so it was very nice. Especially when the rain was pouring outside.
I'm someone that always makes myself at home when I'm in a hotel. I'm always the first to unpack and put my clothes on the hangers. It's always nice especially as I'm staying for two nights, it's nice to feel at home even if it's just for a short while.
The view was alright as well. It could have been so much worse.
It also didn't help that I was suffering from a cold so my morning consisted of coffee and lemsip cause that's how exciting my life is. Getting high off caffeine and paracetamol in the morning.
The best part about coming to Manchester around this time of year is seeing all the lovely Christmas decorations as well as going to the Christmas Markets. It's always a nice feeling and really does put you in the mood for Christmas time. I would highly recommend going to Manchester during the festive season because it's honestly the best.
Now, I'm back home in rainy Wales but I had a lovely time away and it feels good to have a couple of days just to escape from everyday life. I'm actually going back to Manchester in ten days time for Christmas so I'm very excited to go back again this month.

Let me know if you have any trips planned this festive season in the comments below. I would love to hear it. Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and I'll be back again tomorrow with another post.

See you then.
