Gift Ideas

One of the hardest things about Christmas is buying gifts for other people. Some people are so easy to buy for but some people are difficult to buy for. Sometimes it's easy to go for something simple like a mug or chocolates or a new set of toiletries. That's okay but sometimes it's good to think outside the box and I have a few ideas that may help with that.

Here are a few gift ideas for this Christmas although this could also be used for any occasion where a gift is required.

Let's get started.

1. Photo Album
Most people have all their photos stored on their phones these days that nobody keeps a physical copy anymore. Gifting someone a photo album filled with memories you've shared is a very thoughtful gift. It shows how much your friendship or relationship has grown over the years plus it's something they can keep forever and will never get rid of. You can even make it into a scrapbook and write little notes alongside it. Add a few personal touches and that will show how much you really care about the person. I can guarantee a photo album will be the perfect gift for a close friend, sibling, parent, partner or even your children. I know they will appreciate it a lot and maybe even make them cry.

2. Hamper
A hamper is a great gift idea and you can even make your own one. Filling it with treats and things you know the person likes. It doesn't necessarily have to be food. It could be toiletries, pictures, games. Just as long as you make it personal for them then it will really show how much thought you've put into it. It's a great gift idea if you're not sure what to give them but know things they like. It will show you know them really well and you know it's something they'll enjoy because it's all the things they like.

3. Make something yourself
Get creative with your gift and make it yourself. It doesn't have to be expensive. It could be a framed collage of photos of you together. It could be something you knitted or painted. Sometimes creative gifts that you've made yourself show that you've put a lot of thought into it. You can make the same thing for everyone but add a little personal touch to each person. Sometimes a unique gift that not many people have is better than something everyone has and when it's made by yourself then it makes it even more personal.

4. Gift everyone the same thing
Do you ever think about how simple it would be if everyone just had the same thing. Like Nessa in Gavin and Stacey gifting everyone a chocolate from a Celebrations and a tap in the Christmas specials. Sometimes it's the simple gifts that everyone appreciates more. I'm not saying go extreme with buying everyone a single chocolate or a tap but it could be something nice like a notebook, chocolate, perfume, framed photo, a piece of jewellery, socks or something you made yourself. It adds a bit of fun to Christmas knowing everyone is getting the same thing and relieves a bit of stress from yourself on what to buy everyone.

5. Chocolate tub
Honestly, something you can't go wrong with gifting someone is a chocolate tub whether it's Roses, Heroes or Celebrations. I feel like everyone will enjoy it. There's even tubs that don't have chocolate in them like Swizzels Sweet Tub or a biscuit tin. It may be a typical gift but it's something that most people will enjoy. It's a classic Christmas gift for everyone.

There we have it. Those are five of my gift ideas. I know there's probably loads of ideas but these are just a few that you might not have thought of. Let me know your gift ideas in the comments below and maybe we can help each other out for those people we're not quite sure what to get them.

Thank you for reading my blog and I'll be back tomorrow with another Blogmas post.
