My Blogging Routine

As someone who has been blogging for nine years, I've learned a thing or two about what works for me when it comes to sitting down and writing a post. That's why I thought I'd share my blogging routine with you that may inspire you to work on your own blog and get that routine.

Let's get started.
I feel like the one thing that motivates me to do some writing is a mug of coffee by my side. Coffee just makes me feel productive and I swear my body is made up mainly of coffee. It's fair to say I may have a slight coffee addiction. Either way it's something that puts me in the mood to blog.
Next, I will get my laptop and keyboard set up on my desk. I like to prop my laptop up on a stand so the screen is more to my eye level rather than me looking down all the time. I also like my desk to be quite minimal and simple as if it's too cluttered then it will distract me from what I want to do.
I have to have my trusted notebook beside me. This notebook is actually from Tesco that I bought a few months ago and it's just really helped me out. I use it to write all my blog post ideas as well as write some posts in it. I just find it handy to have a physical notebook as well as my laptop as I am a little old fashioned sometimes. It's definitely something that works for me.
I will then check my drafts of any posts that I can work on. It was actually October when I was working on this particular post as I was getting ready to start working on my Blogmas posts. Hence why some of the drafts are actually posts that may have already been published at the time you're reading this.
I started to actually work on this blog post as the idea was fresh in my mind which is why this is about to seem like Blogception when you see a photo of this post in the writing stage. I'd definitely recommend getting as many posts ready as you can so that you have plenty of posts scheduled which can help you to work on posts for next few months and of course I wanted to be prepared for Blogmas. Hence why I wrote this post in October.
When I've completed one post, I like to find ideas for posts and as this was in the beginning stages of preparing for Blogmas, I needed some inspiration for posts. One place I like to get inspiration from is Pinterest as while I don't condone plagiarising other people's posts and ideas, it's okay to take some inspiration for ideas and make them you're in. As you can see I was searching for Christmas blog post ideas and definitely got inspired. I was able to write a few ideas down in my notebook which I'm obviously not going to show as that would be spoilers for Blogmas.

That brings us up to the end of my blogging routine. Let me know what inspires you to blog, I would love to hear it. Thank you for reading my blog and I'll be back tomorrow with another post for you.

See you then
